Just at that moment, the other goblin who was waiting behind must have seen me, started yelling, and tried to warn its friend. But it was too late.

I caught the goblin by its neck with the noose and hung on with all my strength to strangle it. Even though the other goblin tried to attack the noose to save its friend, it was futile because it was too small to reach the rope.
