Compromise

It could be a result of the old woman being unable to open her eyes, but Fenrir didn't feel the same 'disgust' as what she felt around the people she had killed. Since she didn't want to kill indiscriminately, if she could avoid it, Fenrir explained in an icy tone, "Only they would be able to confess their crimes...all I know is, they harbored ill will towards me. They also carried a powerful stench of blood, death, and negativity. The number of people they have killed unjustly may be a secret they take to their deaths, but I'm sure others would be able to give you an account..."

Speaking so much for the first time in a long while, Fenrir felt a little strange and couldn't help but frown when she heard the dull tone of her voice. She didn't remember sounding so 'cold', even when she was angry and upset. When she left the city, Fenrir decided she would have to train her [Mimickry] ability and practice talking more, lest she forget how to converse with people. For now, however, she was readying herself to deal with the old woman standing in the sky across from her.

For several seconds, the old woman stood in silence before finally releasing a sad sigh, muttering, "So, it is by our own hand that the Fen Clan has fallen...it seems the Heavens could not turn a blind eye to that foolish boy's actions..." Shaking her head, the old woman pulled out a blue shortsword and said, "I can tell that you are not a cruel person, even if your actions are vicious...please, take my life, take our treasures, take our techniques...but leave a path for the Fen Clan's future..." Fenrir's only response to this was a snort but the old woman put on a knowing smile and moved forward like a blur, completely ruining her frail image.

The old woman's attacks were smooth and flowing, far different than the overbearing attacks used by the other members of the Fen Clan. Fenrir even suspected she had come from a different Sect but was unable to confirm her suspicions as the old woman had died moments later. She had tried to swing her sword at a shallow angle, almost as though she were thrusting forward, carrying a powerful water elemental energy that surged outward like a river crashing against boulders. Fenrir, however, had used [Koku Shundo] to get behind the woman, placing her palm against the unnamed elder's back and freezing her body in an instant.

Unlike the stinky men she had killed previously, Fenrir didn't want to cut up this woman and instead carried her corpse down to the ground, leaving it laying there for the members of her Sect to tend to, assuming any returned after having run away. The old woman had been buying time for their escape and Fenrir hoped they would at least give her the courtesy of a proper burial after she left.

Since she had 'permission', Fenrir took a series of blue and green rings off the bodies of some of the people she had slain, putting them into a pouch at her waist to investigate later. She knew it was 'wrong' to take items from the dead but, with the woman's final words, Fenrir would accept her conditions. In exchange for the lives of her Clansmen, though she hadn't planned to hunt them all down, Fenrir followed her senses to various hidden locations on the property and took all the most valuable items she could find. As for how she determined their value, it was by the concentration of energy contained within. For the rest, she threw them into her mouth to replenish the energy she had expended earlier, feeling her strength increase marginally as the hunger in her stomach was slowly satiated...
