Spiky Tailed Wild Boar

They noticed the huge fruits that are at the top of the tree with its large leaf's covering them from above.

"Well, we found them. However." Sophie said as her gaze fell on a 1 meter tall animal which seems to be rubbing it's back on the tree's trunk.

"That animal -"

"It was a spiky tailed wild boar with peak level 2-Star strength, what is it doing here." Kathleen said, after noticing it was the one that was guarding the Colour changing fruit tree.

The boar looked like any normal boar, however, it has two spiky tales coming out from it's back, it can freely move and use them however it wants and they also contain paralyzation poison which gives the boar too many advantages when it was fighting it's enemy.

"According to what you've said, 2-Star rank beasts won't be interested in this fruit, than what is this beast doing here?" Sophie said with a questioning look. Although she trusted Kathleen, she also know how introverted this girl has been a few days back, that's why she just wanted to make sure what Kathleen knew was correct.

"It was a basic information, I was suprised you don't know anything about it." Kathleen said looking towards Sophie.

"Did you just call me dumb?" Sophie asked with a smile, but Kathleen knew too well not to trust that smile.

"haha, when did I say that, oh look at that boar's back, there seems to be blood coming out from it's back." Kathleen said trying to divert the topic and also point out what she observed a minute ago.

Sophie also turned around to see what Kathleen pointed out. As Kathleen said, there was indeed blood on it's back while a arrow was laying right beside the place it was rubbing it's back.

"It must've been chased by someone who was also doing a mission. Given that it was bleeding, the boar was probably trying to find food without losing anymore blood, and what is more easy than eating the fruits that are already ripe." Sophie said as she analysed the situation.

They both decided to fall back and come back again with a plan.

After getting a few hundred meters away from the boar's location, they both stopped under a huge tree which had a 2 meter wide trunk.

"Well, either we fight the boar with a plan, or we just search for another tree." Kathleen said as she settled on one of the roots of the tree, which are so large that they came out from the ground.

"No, we already wasted a lot of time searching for this tree, this mission issuers expect us to complete the mission before this evening. After all, these are the daily missions but not the long term missions." Sophie replied thinking of a way to kill the boar.

"I think I will make a minor advancement, this should help us in defeating the spiky taled boar." Kathleen spoke with enthusiastic expression on her face. she wanted to make advancement in the wild rather than in the academy, that's why she waited until they got into the forest.

"Wow, that would be helpful if both of us are at the same level, you can start making your advancement, I will be guarding you."

"Hmm" Kathleen nodded as she closed her eyes and sat in a cross legged position.

Sophie took out her bow which is her weapon and jumped onto the tree's branch as she started to look 360 degrees around her.

While on the ground, Kathleen started to make her advancement. She took out a space ring and poured a large amount of mid level mana crystals on the ground before closing her eyes.

Mana crystals are formed under the ground because of the high concentration of the mana, and they are divided into low - mid -high levels.

Although Kathleen can get a large amount of mana crystals because of her background, it was hard to find mid or high level mana crystals in the hands of the common mages.

Sophie's eyes bulged open seeing the small mountain of mana crystals infront of Kathleen. Although her father also give her plenty, she definitely did not have enough of them that she will just waste them on making a minor level advancement.

Kathleen started to concentrate on breaking the wall she was feeling after the fight with the tiger cub. It was not hard as she thought, she was able to proceeded easily with her advancement.

Of course it was easy because she was already at the peak of the mid level that made her advancement easier to the high level 2-Star mage.

The mana crystals infront of her rapidly started decreasing as they turned into mana and flowed towards Kathleen. But suddenly, small dark colored particles started to appear in the air and started to flow towards Kathleen.

Sophie's eyes widened seeing the small dark particles.

"Tho- Those are definitely Dark elemental particles that my father taught me about, but how is she able to absorb them when she was just a 2-Star rank mage." She observed Kathleen with a interested look on her face and with many questions in her head.

Mages who chose the path of Elemental mage, their goal would be to master their element to the peak and reveal it's true strength.

Every element has Elemental particles, which are mixed in the atmosphere around the people, by absorbing them, a mage will be able to increase their element's power which in tern makes them stronger.

However, to sense the elemental particles, someone at least had to be a 4-Star mage, that's why Sophie was so shocked about Kathleen being able to do it.

Although a mage will only have one main element, they can awaken as many sub elements as they want but it still depends on their talent to sense the elemental principles in the air which decideds how many elements a mage can have.

However, a lot of people inherit their main element from their family, example, Kathleen, she inherited darkness element from her black dragon family and Rowena inherited fire element from the imperial family.

Boom~

With a small boom sound, a wave of mana erupted from Kathleen's body making Sophie alert.

But, noticing it was a just a indication for the successful advancement of Kathleen, she heaved a sigh of relief.

However, seeing Kathleen's beautiful face which was filled with calmness and the small beads of sweat that was trickling down from her face to her cleavage, Sophie cheeks suddenly gained a shade of red.

Slap~

She suddenly came out her reverie and slapped her own cheeks with her hands.

"Damn it! I-I should focus on my surroundings, I should look away."
