Abyss Realm

"Kathleen come here and look at this." Sophie called out to her as she was still outside the cave.

Kathleen turned around and quickly arrived beside Sophie, her eyes fell on the ground where Sophie was looking at.

She saw blood footprints of some kind of animal, but she couldn't fully identify which beast they belonged to.

"Seems like only one magical beast killed the whole pack, However, such strong beasts are simply cannot be found in the outer area of the forest. Not only that, it didn't eat any flesh and just left after killing them." Kathleen analysed the situation quickly.

"If this fight happen an hour or just some minutes ago than doesn't that mean the beast might be just around this cliff." Sophie couldn't help but spoke in a horror.

Judging by their injuries, the wolfs are probably killed by a single attack, she was really afraid because Kathleen and she are nothing but two sitting ducks which are waiting to be slaughtered by the beast.

"Kathleen let's get out from here immediately." Sophie spoke with worry in her voice, to which Kathleen also nodded seeing the situation. Although she was really curious as to find out why the beast which attacked these wolfs didn't eat them, she know it was not the right time.

However, before they get out from here, she ran into the cave and immediately collected all the wolf bodies including the wolf king's body.

After half an hour of traveling, they both reached the academy and went into the mission hall.

Arriving infront of the reception table, they submitted their missions. They also reported what they saw in the cave, although they know the receptionist will find out that they're not the ones that killed the wolfs, it doesn't really matter as they only needed to complete the missions and how they completed is irrelevant to the receptionist or the mission issuer.

But, by informing what they saw in the forest they will save many students from dying from that powerful beast, the academy will send an instructor to investigate about this matter.

After that, they started to collect their contribution points.

They only got contribution points for the wolf king's mission since the bodies of the wolfs are not damaged nor there are any differences in the bodies from what the actual mission was stated. But the colour changing fruits are ripe and were in good quality than the mission issuer mentioned.

They asked the receptionist to contact the mission issuer, so that they could negotiate more contribution points for the fruits. They turned to their left where a few waiting tables are present, they walked towards them and took their seats.

They already got the contribution points into Kathleen's student badge, 3000 points for the sky wolf king's body, they got 3600 points for 12 dead normal sky wolf bodies which they delivered to the receptionist.

"Kathleen, do you have any idea about that beast which killed these wolfs." Sophie asked with a curious voice.

"No idea, but if I have to guess, it might be from the inner area of the forest and it was most probably a demonic beast." Kathleen said as she thought about the demonic magic that was explained in the novel.

Ignoring the minor antagonists in the novel who are practically the verious types of the young masters, the main problems which max will face are the evil organisation called Dark Mask organisation that expanded throughout the Elacnor empire and the Demonic mages, these powers will be the major obstacles for Max.

However, little did he knew that there was only one perpetrator behind these two powers, which was called as the Abyss Realm.

Abyss Realm was a different world that was inhabited by demons, Abyssal devils and undead creatures. They all are planning from many years to invade the Aurora world.

The Aurora world was currently very peaceful without any major disputes among the top powers of the world as they all are busy in reconstructing the civilization which was destroyed many years ago when all the great powers in the world vanished.

This vanishing period was named as the 'Null Era' because for many years after their disappearance, different types of resources, humans or any other races are rarely seen in the world which give a null feeling to the Aurora world.

That's why the remaining races started to reconstruct the civilization and decided to name that Era as Null Era.

However, all this peacefulness was nothing but a silence before the huge destruction which was going to befall on the Aurora world.

The Abyss realm will descend on the aurora world and Abyssal gates will start opening in verious parts of this world as the demons, Abyssal devils and undeads will Pour out from the gates.

Since Abyssal creatures are planning this from many years, the Dark Mask organisation's leaders are all nothing but puppets who sold their souls to the Abyssal devils and the demonic magic is nothing more than something called demon miasma which was already spreaded in many areas in the Aurora world.

Demon miasma was only seen in the abyss realm, it a was different type of energy compared to mana. The miasma helps demons to become stronger, However, if humans were to absorb this miasma their will only be two results, either becoming the half-demons themselves or dying with their mana core exploding.

As she was thinking about this, her brows suddenly furrowed as a question appeared in her mind.

'It made sense that this Dark Mask organisation sold their souls through something like devil summoning magic, but how did the demons spread the demon miasma without entering into this world. Wait, does this mean there was a Abyssal gate that was already opened in the aurora world.' Her eyes widened in horror as she thought of this possibility.

'Calm down, even if there was really such a thing, it would not be exposed until the first Abyssal gate opens. However, I realy need to find out where this gate was located, this is not something that I can ignore.'

"Are you the one that took the mission I posted on the missions wall." Kathleen's thoughts were interrupted by a cold voice which came from her left.
