2 weeks and now MORE TROUBLE
Just like that, 2 weeks passed, and a lot of things happened during these 2 weeks. One of them was moving to the Bast familia residence another one of them was finally getting approval to go to the 32nd floor and grinding up his stats, leaving him at the peak of level 4, now he needs the moment to impress the gods so he can level up.
When the day to move from the HoF to the Bast residence, the girls said they would miss him as he spent some time talking and playing some games with them so he would be missed, to that he promised that he would pass by here sometimes to eat or drink and Mama Mia was very happy to have someone like him to spend money in her NEGOCIO.
On another note, his days killing monsters were easier compared to the average adventurer due to having a powerful weapon his trusty spear Draupnir and his now famous giant axe Shadowmourne. He also acquired some new knowledge about the events that occurred in Orario.
An example of that is the famous Denatus. A reunion between gods so that they talk about recent things and give aliases to their leveled-up children. For example, he came to know that the alias of Riveria was Nine hells, it was given to her due to her magic, capable to chant 9 different spells but under 3 categories.
During his first week staying with the Bast familia, he got to know more personal information about them. For example, Adrian wants to be strong because of an accident in the past. It was a pretty decent week until today.
"What do you mean you are declaring me a war game, THOR!!!!?" Said an enraged Bast as she heard the news from another God. "Your child has caused this!! Don't fault me for trying to protect them!!!" replied an equally furious Thor.
"The Denatus is 1 week from here, so you intend to bring trouble before it happens!"
"I didn't want trouble but your child has caused this. You are the one at fault here!!!"
"ME!? WHO HAS DECLARED 2 WAR GAMES THIS YEAR, YOU FAT BASTARD!!!?". After saying this they both shut down but were glaring daggers at each other. "I expect you to be in the tower tomorrow to acord the war game." Thor turned around and left after saying this, leaving a furious goddess behind.
A couple of minutes later after she calmed down she went to their living room and commented on what she and Thor were talking about. "So, they intend to rob us of our resources with this war game. Just like they did with the other 2 familias not long ago" said Adrian with a serious tone while thinking about possible solutions.
"haaaaaa... It seems I brought you problems. The one who should give out something must be me because I caused this in the first place." Said Clarion with a low tone. "Nonsense, they would have brought trouble even if it wasn't you Clarion. They are famous for doing that 2 times already," replied Violet after she heard Clarion say that. 'So that's why the people were mumbling that'
After 3 hours of talking about possible solutions or even trying to establish a contract with the Thor familia. They concluded that they cannot do that as that would make them functionally slaves of them. Then they remembered that with Clarion near level 5 they could venture deep into the dungeon to make him level up and maybe some of the level 2 gain a little more strength as compared to the Thor familia they lacked that.
"Violet, Claire, Amon. You shouldn't go deeper than the 16th floor. Stay there and return before us. Mallet, Jeff, Saba. Stay on the 8th floor to the 11th. This way you will feel the pressure of being a little under-leveled for that zone but you will gain a lot. I will accompany you Clarion and act as your support when we arrive on the 26th floor. I will fight from the 19th to the 26th from there on, It's all yours." Ordered a very serious Adrian as they ran to the dungeon as it was already high noon. Meaning fewer hours to be in the dungeon.
During their rush from the entrance to their respective floors ordered they met more monsters than when going alone or in pairs. Once Adrian and Clarion reached the 17th floor they saw a giant figure inside the wall of grief. "It seems it hasn't been killed. Adrian, I will act as the tank and gain its attention. This will be your major chance to obtain a lot of excelia". Commented Clarion as he coated his Shadowmourne with lightning and then charged forward.
"I didn't even answer yet you launched yourself!!!" replied Adrian as he saw the Goliath break out from the wall to kill Clarion. Clarion just parried its fists with his axe and directed it to the floor, destroying it and making him jump and smash his axe down to cut the Goliath's hand. He succeeded in doing it and Adrian seeing this opportunity rushed toward the right knee of the Goliath to cut it so that the Goliath bends down but it seemed to detect it and fired its famous air cannon from its mouth.
Adrian saw this but couldn't dodge it as it was faster than him. Clarion jumped in front of Adrian and tanked the air cannon, making him fly toward the wall but he pierced the floor with his axe, stopping him from hitting the wall. Adrian was stunned for a second but he heard Clarion shout "DON'T CARE FOR ME AND KILL THE GIANT!!". It seemed to wake Adrian from his stupor and he rushed toward his objective and succeeded in doing it, making the Goliath bend over and making it lose its balance.
As Clarion saw this he threw his axe at the head of Goliath, making it fall back to the wall and pinning its head to the wall while the lighting coated in Shadowmourne was burning its head and neck, making it shout in pain. "GO FOR THE CHEST, IN THERE IS WHERE THE CORE IS!!!!" Shouted Clarion and saw Adrian do what he told him to do but he couldn't reach the core with Goliath's healing ability so he summoned Draupnir from its ring form and rushed forward to make an opening large enough for Adrian to kill it.
After Clarion slashed a cross on Goliath's chest and the pieces fell, Adrian pierced the core and it finally exploded in a fume of smoke. "That was easy" commented Clarion. "MAYBE...hah...FOR...hah...YOU!!!" replied a tired Adrian and Clarion just laughed at his expense. 'Now what should we do with this giant core?' the 2 of them but then they heard a known voice.
"You once again kill it before us, Clarion...sigh." Said Riveria accompanied by the twins this time. "But that was one hell of a fight!!" said an excited little Amazon as she ran to Clarion and Adrian. As she approached them she saw the difference in height between her and them 'damn, was Clarion this tall before?'.
"So it seems, But I propose you a deal," said Clarion
"What kind of deal" replied Riveria.
"If you carry the core to the surface we will let you keep a %60 of its value."
"Isn't that too much?" said Adrian but Clarion replied, "It is enough for making them carry it to the surface."
"Do you think of us as a--" "We will take to the surface. Where should we send the remaining %40" Riveria interrupted Tione before she said anything else.
After their departure, Adrian and Clarion went deeper into the 19th floor, and from then on it was a massacre and a literal hell for Adrian as he fought a lot of monsters like the mammoth fool and deadly hornets and many more for about 2 or 3 hours but once they reached the 24th-floor Clarion said: "Go back to the surface, I will not take anything of loot from here, I will only kill the monsters. It will be too dangerous for you". Surprising Adrian, who tried to say otherwise but Clarion wouldn't take a no so he surrendered and decided to go to the surface.
From then on Clarion rushed towards the Great falls and once he was at its end he closed his eyes and tried to remember where it ended and remembered that it ended on the 27th floor. 'A little shortcut' thought Clarion as he jumped.
Nearing its end he saw the river and decided to just pass to the 29th floor and start from there his rampage. 'This will be a beautiful day for you Shadowmourne' mused Ckariom while running to the stairs of the 28th floor and dodging the monsters.
From the 29th floor onward to the 31st the only encountered bloodsasaurus so he rushed to the 32nd floor where he started encountering Power bulls which were easy to kill after you dodged their charge. So he went down to the 37th floor where he met his favorite monster till now, the Spartois.
A skeleton monster that is around Level 4 in strength. It can spawn with random weapons that it knows how to use, such as swords or lances made of bone and kite shield-like protectors. The monster is stronger than a Lizardman Elite or Loup Garou, and more agile than a Barbarian. Its skill and fighting ability are more like an adventurer than a monster.
Then the barbarians. A two-meter-tall monster, similar to the Minotaur with two large and curved horns, black skin, red hair, and yellow eyes. The Guild estimates it has power equivalent to Level 3 and 4 adventurers but it doesn't pose much of a threat like the spartoi to Clarion.
Clarion fought a lot of monsters before deciding to go to the spawn of the Udaeus to see if it was available to fight as he knows that the Loki familia went on an expedition 6 months ago. Arriving at the zone of the Udaeus he couldn't see it so he thought that it hasn't respawned and tried to go to the stairs leading to the 38th floor when he sensed imminent danger and jumped backward only to see the Monster Rex of the 37th Floor. It has a black body and is a large version of a Spartoi. The famous Udaeus.
"We will see what you can do my friend." As he said that, he summoned Draupnir and readied Shadowmourne by coating them with lightning when all of the sudden the Udaeus summoned a great black sword after lifting its right arm and then brought it down to Clarion who dodged to the right and used his eye to maintain the arm on the ground as he prepared to throw Draupnir to the right shoulder.
When he threw Draupnir, it broke the sound barrier, making some air rings along the way and once it reached its destiny, it destroyed the shoulder but stayed in there, so Clarion summoned another Draupnir and exploded the one he tossed making the Udaeus lose its right arm and making it enrage, summoning a lot of spartois.
'This seems complicated'. Mused Clarion as he rushed to the Udaeus but was stopped by the mass of spartois. So he decided to kill them before trying anything.
As he slashed and smashed spartois left and right without care for the wounds he received. He noticed the Udaeus picking up the sword with its left arm so he rushed to the Udaeus but got stopped when a spartoi pierced his heart. "GAAAH" shouted Clarion as he coughed a lot of blood. "I...I...I cannot die HEREEEEEE"
When he shouted, the air seemed to feel his anger as it started to get hotter, his wounds healed at a faster rate, and his strength made a jump in quantity as he smashed the head of the spartoi with his left hand.
His scars were glowing red and his right eye opened. "RRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAHHGGGG". Shouted Clarion as he rushed to the Udaeus with Shadowmourne in hand and going for the chest, where was located the core of the Udaeus.
The Udaeus didn't stand quietly and also attacked, thrusting his sword to the chest of Clarion as they both roared.
They both reached a standstill as they both glared at each other, when Clarion surprisingly pierced the chest of the Udaeus and broke the Monster Core.
