Fateful Redemption: From Betrayal to Love's Revenge

"Don't go, please," Hazel's voice trembled as her fingers clung desperately to his. Tears welled in her eyes as she held his gaze. "I've forgiven you already. I love you too much to let you go. You could love her, but please, let me remain by your side… please." "Hazel, I'm sorry, but I can't return your feelings," Max's tone was icy, unyielding. "My heart belongs to someone else." Hazel's pleas grew more desperate, her tears falling freely. "No, don't you see? My heart aches for you alone. I can't imagine living without you." "Hazel, I implore you not to push me," Max's voice was firm, a wall between them. "You need to let me go. It's time to move on. I never felt the same way for you..." ..................................................................... "I refuse to burden others with my emotions. I won't be at the mercy of my feelings. Instead, I'll harness and enjoy them, using them to my advantage. The blood that flows from my heart is precious, and I won't let it be spilled in pain..."

Chapter 2 the new beginning

Hazel found herself standing in the heavy rain for hours, her body unable to move, as if trapped within a dream. Raindrops mingled with the weight of her thoughts, a turbulent storm within her mind that she could manipulate at will.

A car pulled up in front of her, and her brother stepped out. "What's wrong? Come inside," he urged, concern etched across his face. He guided her into the car, bombarding her with questions to which she had no answers.

Meanwhile, at home, worry hung heavy in the air. A call from one of Mac's associates confirmed her brother's suspicions. Anger surged within him, fueled by the knowledge of how the man had shattered his sister's heart. The car pulled up to a massive mansion. Hazel's brother carried her inside as she drifted into slumber.

"Is it true, Gael? Is Mac the father of Alicia's child? Did he really break up with me?" Her words tumbled out as she struggled to comprehend the truth. Gael tried to soothe her, promising explanations once she rested, even though he was in the dark himself.

In her room, her father erupted with frustration. Gael attempted to intervene, but his words only fueled the fire. The weight of his accusations drove Hazel to tears, her pain palpable.

She skimmed through the document with a detached air, her face a mask devoid of emotion. Hazel stared blankly at her computer screen, her mind adrift. She closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and exhaled slowly in an attempt to ease the tension. Opening her eyes again, she glanced at the wall clock.

"Frustrating!" she muttered, the intensity of her voice surprising even herself. It had been three years since the world as she knew it collapsed, an image etched painfully in her memory. Her fingers clenched, a feeble attempt to contain the surging emotions.

The trauma of losing everything in a single night had nearly broken her. Without therapy and the support of her father, the thought of suicide might have become a reality.

Following the guidance of her therapist, she shut her eyes and took another deep breath. Looking at her reflection in the window, she forced a smile that didn't quite reach her heart.

"Ma'am, there's a report from the hospital... It's about Mr. Gael..." The sentence hung in the air, fear evident in the speaker's eyes.
