A loving sister
I didn't know what was happening to me, but I could feel myself trembling, the ground felt hard and wet with snapping twigs embedded in my flesh. My eyes felt heavy as I tried to open them. I didn't know what was happening to me or where I was, but I could hear faint voices from a distance, I didn't know who it was, everything felt dark I just wanted to wake up from the nightmare I was trapped in
"What happened to her….please help her up" I heard my sister's voice, and she sounded desperate, and I heard more heavy footsteps around me and the voices grew loud that they deafened my ears as I tossed and turned, the sharp pains I was feeling rushing through my body caused me to scream in agony, my body was trembling as I felt a pair of rough hands snake around my body. I could feel someone lifting me, and I guessed I was naked
"She...she's fine...please leave some space for her to breathe...she's badly hurt"I heard another voice say, the voice sounded deep and stern, it was my sister's mate, the one she was forced to mate with, but he turned out to be a perfect gentleman and the way the spoke sounded anxious and irritated, my mind played back to what had happened for me to end up in such a situation, unfortunately, I couldn't put my heart together, the more I tried to think the more my head hurt. I felt as if I was drifting away into a dark abyss that was swallowing me whole, the person carrying me in their arms seemed to be running fast and her sister's urgent voice rang in my ears and I knew she was worried about me. Not only that, but I didn't even know how or what had happened and how I went unconscious, but when my body was calm and relaxed, I slowly flickered my eyes open. They felt heavy and swollen as if I had been crying when I was not. I tried to make out where I was, and immediately I tilted my head to the sides, lifting it off the soft pillows and I exhaled in relief when I found myself back in my room. It smelled of roses and fine lavender freshener, which numbed my senses as a familiar feeling washed through me as my eyes closed again, and tried to recollect my thoughts on the happening of the night. I quickly opened my eyes and shifted my gaze towards the window and the sun was shining brightly, The day dawned crisp and clear. The sun poured through my window. Another day had dawned, bringing with it new hopes and aspirations. The light of dawn seeped into my room. I rubbed my bleary eyes and shifted on my bed, but I felt sharp pains in my back which had me falling back on the bed as I winced and tried again. This time I managed to sit up and extended my hand to the nightstand and grabbed my rubber bands which I use for tying my hair. The morning was beautiful, there was a pearly glow in the sky. The first rays of sunlight lit up my room. The dawn chorus of melodic birdsong drifted in as I smiled but stopped when I prepared to walk out of my room and apologize to my sister who was upset and disappointed. I heard voices and the mentioning of my name
"There's a strange smell on her..I've never smelled something so powerful and deadly... Jay, I'm worried about her...who was she with last night...why did she leave…" my sister said, and judging by the sound of her voice, she was crying? I stumbled back as my shaky hands withdrew from the doorknob knowing full well, she was angry, I slowly turned my back to the door and leaned toward it
"Please just give her a chance to go out there and learn things...locking her up every day won't change anything" Jacob said sweetly. he was a great guy but my sister was right. I brought nothing but trouble
"She's my sister...she's my responsibility...last night... I almost died looking for her...you don't know how much she means to me"Jeena said again and felt even more guilty, a feeling of regret washed over me as I tried to keep calm. She must have been scared that something bad had happened to me
"Someone was with her and of what I know... I'm afraid of the consequences" my sister added, and I quickly raised my arm to smell myself, and it was just my ordinary scent. Rosewood mixed with other scented fresheners, made me smell delicious. So, why was my sister talking as if, I was with someone I recalled getting lost in the forest, I couldn't find Olivia
"It's fine...don't scare her okay''I heard Jay say and some footsteps heading towards my room and with speed, I rushed back to my bed and threw myself and quickly covered myself with a blanket and half slept just as the door creaked open and my sister wearing a yellowish summer dress reaching above her knees with her black hair tied in a bun walked in with a tray in her hand. I slowly turned away from her pretending to be asleep and Jeena walked to the nightstand
"So...tell me...who was with you last night?" she asked me the question I was afraid of, my throat suddenly went dry as I tried to gather words to say to her. She left me in the house, but I sneaked out, I was with Olivia; hence she wouldn't be that upset hearing who I was with
"W...with Olivia, "I said hoarsely as I lowered my gaze to my hands and played with my nails. I waited for my sister to react and when I lifted my head to look up, she was angry and her cold sharp eyes proved it, and it scared me even more
"Say the truth...it's not Olivia I know this... Isla what's wrong with you...do you know how bad it is out there...what if something bad had happened to you!'' she said in one breath, I didn't dare say anything to her but kept my head lowered knowing I made a mistake. she was just concerned about my safety and like a fool I was failing her
"I don't know what happened… I wanted to go for a run...but I lost control of my wolf. ``It was the bitter truth, I was unable to control my wolf for years, sometimes it went wild and at other times, I managed to shift without trouble. However, last night was strange even for me, for days my back had been burning up which was making me angry
"Fine...it's morning already, the full moon is tonight...as usual immediately it's 6 pm, please go and hide…the selection will happen, and I don't want trouble, "Jeena said and walked to my closet, I narrowed my eyes as I watched her get a few of my clothes and one of them was my baggy hoodie which she came with and stood by my bed "here...please don't go out without wearing this...you must not show you back and take this seriously," she said tossing the gray hoodie which I quickly grabbed and placed on my lap
"Okay sis... should I make breakfast?"I asked blinking at her cutely but the side glance she threw at me made me grin at her knowing I was trying hard for her not to get mad at me
"No need... I made you breakfast," she said leaning down to plant a kiss on my forehead and I beamed returning the kiss
"I love you sis," I said when she creased my hair lovingly. She mouthed an okay and I nodded and snuggled into the hoodie she gave me
"Just take a shower and come down" saying that she left my room and I took a deep exhale of relief, jumping out of bed and rushing to my dressing table and standing in front of the mirror. Everything seemed fine...I shook my head and decided to shower.
