Nikolas and Adrian sat in silence for several minutes, the only sound was the gentle rustling of leaves.

The tension that was between them has now disappeared and is replaced by a sense of understanding. The warm sunlight cast a comforting glow over the garden.

Adrian finally broke the silence, his words tumbling out in a rush. "Do you... ummm... want to be friends?" he asked.

Nikolas's gaze shifted from the garden to Adrian's face, he doesn't want to appear rude and decline, Nikolas thought, maybe Adrian has finally repented.

"I would like that," Nikolas said.

Adrian's face lit up with a radiant smile, his plan is coming in to place. "Really?" he asked with joy.

Nikolas nodded, his own face growing a smile "Yes ," he confirmed. "I never thought I would say this to you,"Nikolas said with wonder.

Adrian raised an eyebrow,. "Say what?" he asked.
