Urgent Situation

Rose felt a shiver run down her spine as the temperature in the room dropped. Caleb stood a couple inches from her face, eyes narrowed menacingly at her. She gulped as she looked up into his intimidating gaze.

Caleb clicked his tongue as he looked down at her, trying to figure out what she was thinking. "So, you think you can go around kissing whoever you want just because we're not married yet?" he asked, voice cold.

She shook her head. "N-no that's not what I meant. I was just…" The heat of his body and his scent suddenly hit her and made her breathing halt.

He frowned. "You were just…?" He urged.

Rose swallowed hard. "I just meant, that it's okay that you kissed someone… because we're not married yet."

"I'll make this clear for you Rose. You are not allowed to kiss, let alone touch another man. Not now, and not after we marry. I will not allow it."

She frowned. "I'm not your wife yet. You can't tell me what I can and cannot do," she said, trying to make her voice strong despite the fear that was currently making her knees weak.

"You may not be my wife yet, but you are mine."

She glared up at him as anger rushed through her. "I'm not an object you can own Caleb! I'm a person!"

The corner of his lips twitched as he tried to fight back a sudden smile. Seeing her like this; riled up and fighting back seemed to make him more attracted to her. He turned around, trying to hide his amusement.

Rose bit her bottom lip as she watched his shoulders shake with anger. Shit. She had to remember whom she was talking to. She kept forgetting her life was on the line with this demon. She swallowed her pride and spoke through clenched teeth.

"I'm sorry. You're right about us not being intimate with others. It would be ridiculous, not to mention disrespectful towards the other party since we're technically engaged." She quickly said everything with one breath before she lost her nerve.

He turned around to face her, all traces of his previous smile gone. "I'm glad you think that way Rose. I don't want to force you into anything. You were the one who agreed to move in here and you were the one who accepted the marriage."

Her teeth ground together and her eyes watered. She turned her head and blinked a few times to hold back her tears. She had never willingly agreed to the marriage. Her father had forced her. Well, her father and her fucking conscience.

He felt his heart clench as he watched her trying to hold back her tears. He felt like a bastard. It was his fault for making the suggestion to her father in the first place. But, he had no regrets; she was his fate. They were meant to be, fated to love each other.

"Caleb, I think we should talk and make things clear between us," she said as she turned back to look at him.

His eyebrows lifted. "Speak," he said, coldly.

Rose swallowed hard before talking. "I'm sure you're aware that I don't love you, I don't have any feelings towards you. I only agreed to this marriage to help the people in this city. You promised us protection from outsiders and that's why I agreed to this marriage." He didn't have to know her father had threated to kill Jack if she refused. That was between her father and her.

"What's your point Rose?" he asked, gaze cold as he looked into her eyes.

She felt the room temperature drop once again, making her wonder if he had some kind of power to control the atmosphere around him. "I just… don't want you to expect anything from me," she said honestly. "I already have someone in my heart, and that's never going to change."

Caleb closed the distance between them and wrapped his arms around her waist, holding her tightly against his chest.

Rose gasped in shock, eyes wide as she looked up at him. Her body trembled in fear as she froze in his arms. "C-Caleb… what-"

He lowered his head and pressed his lips against hers gently.

Her body stiffened as her mind went blank. She felt his soft lips against hers and her mind suddenly came back to life, bringing her back to her senses. She lifted her hands and tried to push him away as he began to kiss her more passionately.

Caleb wrapped his hand behind her head, holding her steady as she tried to pull away. He refused to let her go and slowly began to kiss her more passionately. He tightened his arms around her as she began to squirm around.

Rose whimpered as she struggled to free herself from his grasp. Her body was beginning to heat up, feeling the heat from his own body against hers, his hard muscles pressing against her soft curves, his scent filling her mind, and his lips demanding her surrender.

He felt her body loosen up as she gave up fighting him after a while. He tried to fight back the sudden joy he felt as she started to kiss him back.

Rose tried. She had really tried her hardest to get away from him, but he was a fucking vampire! She couldn't compete against him. It was impossible. She was already tired trying to free herself. Her mind slowly began to shut down, as his kiss became more demanding. She moaned as his tongue entered her mouth and began to dance around with hers. Her body trembled as heat enveloped her and she felt like she was floating in the air.

Caleb continued to ravage her lips, sucking, licking, and nibbling until she was panting and moaning in his arms. He felt her body tremble against him and knowing she wasn't immune to him made his groin swell with desire for her.

Rose whimpered as she began to feel lightheaded from the lack of oxygen and she tried to pull away from him. He finally gave her some distance and she took a deep breath. She looked up at him, panting, gasping and trembling. Her cheeks immediately burned red with shame as she realized what had just happened.

He smiled as he looked down at her. One kiss and she was completely flustered. He lifted his hand to her face and caressed her cheek as he looked into her eyes. "You don't know it Rose, but you do have feelings for me. They're just buried deep down and you refuse to let them surface."

She shook her head as her heart pounded loudly in her chest. "No," she panted. "I don't feel anything… for you," she said as she looked up at him worriedly. Why was she acting like this? Was this some kind of power influencing her emotions?

He chuckled. "You feel attracted to me, you can't deny that sweetheart."

She gulped and before she had time to retort, his lips came down passionately against hers again, making her whimper and moan.

He felt himself getting lost in her. Her soft body pressing against his hardness was making him feel things that were too dangerous right now.

They were both so absorbed in their kiss; they didn't notice someone else had come into the room.

"Boss!" Ksien yelled again after he got no response the first time. He had rushed over here to inform Caleb of the sudden trouble, but he was too engrossed with his wife. For a second, he thought about whether it would be better to let him continue and try to solve the problem on his own, but he knew Caleb would be mad if he wasn't informed.

Caleb reluctantly pulled away from Rose and turned to glare at Ksien who was interrupting his first sweet experience with his future wife. "What?" he asked, angrily.

Ksien felt a shiver run down his body as Caleb's deathly glare was directed at him. "Boss we have an urgent situation that needs your immediate assistance," he said quickly.

"What is it?" Caleb asked impatiently.

Ksien looked at Rose, then back at his boss.

Caleb understood his silent message and slowly released her.

Rose frowned worriedly as she noticed his mood change immediately, while she was over here still panting and trembling from his kiss.

He froze as he finally sensed the presence of an intruder. He looked down at Rose. He had been so enthralled with her, he hadn't even noticed it. He frowned as he focused on the intruder's presence. He felt something familiar, and immediately, he knew who the intruder was. His face darkened and a menacing aura surrounded him.

Rose frowned as she looked from one vampire to the other. What was going on? Why did Caleb look like he was going to murder someone? She gulped nervously.

Caleb looked down at Rose, eyes dark with anger. "Go to your room and stay there. I do not want you coming out for any reason until I come and get you. Do you understand?" His voice was adamant, leaving no room for argument.

"What's wrong?" she asked, voice trembling.

Caleb looked at Ksien. "Take her to her room and stay at the door."

Ksien nodded and waited for Rose to start walking towards him before leading her out the door.

Her heart pounded rapidly as fear gripped her. What the hell was going on? Was she in danger? Had other vampires come to hurt her? She knew there were a lot of vampires against Caleb taking a human for a wife. Maybe someone had actually dared to come and kill her.

She swallowed hard as the thought made her body tremble. She followed Ksien closely as he led her to her room in silence.

Let me know how I'm doing! Now that the competition is done, should I keep the story going?
