Preemptive Strike Part 2

Phoebe sat back in here chair and let out a sigh of relief. "Finally we...Willy what are you doing?" She stopped in mid sentence when he placed a sticky note over top of the camera lens. She then watched William rub his temples "what's a matter?" She asked becoming more curious to his actions. Phoebe probably would've picked up on what has caught William's eyes but she never read the dialogue between the victims and the killer like Willy did.

She grabbed her coffee mug and put it up to her lips. While William whispered to her.

"Alright I'll go grab a few things, just check my messages for me okay?" she replied to him knowing he would note down this chat log.She completely trusted Willy with everything but his well being. She knew that he was a man of reason and that she wasn't seeing exactly what he was seeing at the moment.she took another sip of her coffee and placed it back on the desk before rolling away from the desk and popping out of the chair. She firstly walked over to the package she received early and placed it in her closet. She closed the curtains and locked the balcony door, she secured every window in the condo. "If someone gets in here I'd know about it" she said to herself and then it hit her.

"Willy do you think it saw me? Or know exactly where I live?" She said vaguely on purpose 'Willy thinks I'm In danger?' She thought and grabbed a sticky note from the dining table and wrote

"Maybe if he does know my location we could prepare for him and catch him here if he tries tonight. But then again sleeping over tonight is still a good call." Read the note

She then continued into her bedroom and pulled out a small backpack and placed a pair of heels, undergarments,a dress that fits like a corset, a pair of denim jeans, and a blouse. She would grab a toothbrush as well. She liked to be prepared for things like this.

She was ready to catch the killer.

"Hmmm then again I should dress like an idiot." She thought and pulled out the dress she placed in the bag and swapped it out for a solid color burgundy skirt, black tights, boots and a printed shirt that said "#ugly" on it. She then put on an identical outfit with a different hashtag saying "Noob" She thought that she could finally put an old secret Santa gift to use.

"This would look way better all I would need is a lollipop and my cellphone in my hand" she chuckled "Willy disconnect the battery and let move"

As Phoebe began to secure her condo, locking every single window that led to the outside world, William pulled the chair back to the desk and sat down. He looked at the screen and saw that Hex just sent another message conforming the exact time when they'll meet. "Great, I'll be the extremely good looking guy wearing a grey sweater with jeans. My hair will be tied up as well. I'll see you at nine, Sheryl." It read. He looked around the room and found that Phoebe has gone into her bedroom to pack up and possibly change. It looks like he'll have to reply to Hex's message in place of Phoebe. "Awsome! I'll b the rlly hwat chik lol ;P" It felt as if a part of him committed suicide from sending this monstrosity. It was incredibly degrading and embarrassing for him. He couldn't understand how Phoebe was able to do this for as long as she did. He'll have to make it up to her by treating her to some drinks after when this is all over. William quickly created a transcript of Hex's conversation with Phoebe and printed it out before logging out from the game.

He glanced up from the computer screen to the note that he had placed over the camera just moments ago. He's meeting her tomorrow, but there's still a few more days in the week. Hex did this before with few of his victims: he asked them to meet each other and days later, they're found dead in their homes or other private locations. Each location Hex decided to meet his victims were all different as well. With one, they decided to meet at a park while he met another one of his victim's at a strip club. They all vary, making it all the more harder to track him down or the area he could live in, but that doesn't mean William can't try. He'll need to triangulate Hex's coordinates using the areas of the meeting spots as well as the places where the bodies were found.

William shut the computer off and disconnected the battery like Phoebe had asked, but when he turned around to look at her, he was slightly taken back with what she was wearing. Why would she even have these types of clothes in her closet? It was a mystery to William until he remembered the secret santa gift she received years ago. The ends of his lips twitched up, forming a faint smile that lasted only a few brief seconds. "You're always so dedicated to your role," William said as he collected all of the files and transcripts into a neat stack. The coffee mug Phoebe put aside for him went unnoticed and untouched by William. Although he loved his cup of coffee as much as, if not more than, Phoebe, this wasn't the right time to pour himself a cup. William picked up the stack and left Phoebe's condo with her following behind him.

After parking the car and going through the lobby to get to the elevator, they finally got to William's dwelling: a luxurious penthouse. It was basically a mansion in the sky. It was unnecessarily large and expansive for just one person with his home taking up the entire top floor of the building. He walked over to his coffee table and set the stack of papers down on the glass surface. He spread them out in the same fashion like he did on Phoebe's dining table before going over each transcript once again.
