Trapped
Marion and William were already at the hospital and waiting outside the room where Jeremiah was being treated. The middle-aged man was exactly how William had envisioned him, strong and mighty.
Evidently, with the silver bullet that had been lodged inside his body, he was able to get through the critical period and was now recovering.
"He is still unconscious, but his condition has stabilized. You don't need to worry," Gabriella said. "Besides, Ange and Emily are looking after me and helping me to cope. I really don't need to doubt the togetherness and loyalty of your flock."
While William talked with Gabriella, Marion approached the large mirror where she could see into the room where her father lay weak.
She wouldn't let Greg leave so easily. She would make sure of that. Though for now she had to recover her strength first, as the silver handcuffs seemed to absorb all she had.
