Fate: Why Don't you Find Another Savior

Tatsuya Suzuki recalled the moment he first stepped into the Holy Grail War. Perhaps fate had already been arranged: he was thrown into the Kingdom of Shadows without knowing anything and became a disciple of Scathach. He was entrusted by Kirei to raise his daughter Caren, which he was unable to do, and adopted his second daughter Sakura from Tokiomi. When Fuyuki's child-rearing life had just begun, he was chosen by the Holy Grail and given a Command Seal. He planned to summon Berserker to join the war, but instead, the famous magician Fairy Princess Morgan appeared. "Anyway, I'm always being pushed forward, so I might as well be one step ahead," he thought. Unless, even this idea was part of the calculation. Chapter 43: The Visitor Arrives with a bang

---

After taking a bath, Tatsuya finally felt the tiredness gradually come over him.

He put a towel around his neck, changed into his home clothes, and walked out, but Morgan was nowhere to be seen.

Both children were asleep in their respective bedrooms—they were already able to sleep on their own, which eased Tatsuya's worries most of the time.

He searched around the house casually and finally found Morgan sitting on the floor near the open glass floor-to-ceiling window, her feet on the bluestone of the courtyard, looking into the distance.

The winter air flowed into the room through the open glass window, but it didn't become particularly cold.

From this spot, you could not only have a panoramic view of the garden behind Tatsuya's house but also see the moon at night.

When he returned home, the sky was still a little cloudy, but now it was completely clear. The nearly full moon and a bunch of stars were shining in the sky, illuminating the entire courtyard.

The moonlight poured down on the Fairy Princess, like a slightly cold snow, giving her a bit of a sad look.

"It's a really nice yard. It doesn't look like anything special, but the more I look at it, the more I like it," said Morgan.

Tatsuya had no intention of disturbing Morgan's alone time, but when he heard her talking to him, he stopped and listened.

"If you're not in a hurry to go to bed, please chat with me for a while," Morgan invited.

Tatsuya sat down beside Morgan silently, looking at the bright moon in the sky.

If he moved slightly, he could touch her shoulder.

But he didn't feel shaken by this.

Was it because of the winter nights, or had he just gotten used to it?

Even though he was so close to Morgan, he felt incredibly calm.

"It's a very suitable place to live," Morgan said. "A magician's workshop often reflects the owner's personality. From this perspective, as a magician, you seem to be a more solitary type."

Tatsuya pursed his lips. "But I'm not just a magician. I'm also a human being. No matter how much I want to avoid the world, I can't live apart from it and rely on myself alone."

"It's this kind of place," Morgan nodded slightly in approval. "To put it in a general sense, it's more humane."

When she said this, she turned around. Tatsuya didn't look at Morgan's face on purpose, but when she met his gaze, he realized that the witch who seemed clear and lonely was actually smiling.

It was not as warm as the winter sun, but not as cold as the ice and snow that never melts.

It was a smile that only Morgan could show. Tatsuya looked at her and couldn't help but forget to respond.

"Especially those two children. They seemed to have naturally disrupted the original integrity of this workshop, but it did not harm your life as a magician. Instead, it made some things more perfect." Morgan did not seem to require Tatsuya to respond every time, but just slowly withdrew her gaze.

"Like you said before, people are incomplete," Tatsuya lowered his head and looked at the grass, trees, and gravel in the courtyard. "So you need to be with someone to fill in the missing parts."

"However, with such thoughts in mind, you participated in the Holy Grail War," Morgan looked at the Command Seal on the back of Tatsuya's hand.

Tatsuya raised his hand and smiled at the Command Seal. "What if I say that it was not my own will, but that the Command Seal suddenly appeared one day, not in the form of a stigmata, but as a complete Command Seal given to me?"

Morgan looked at him and nodded. "Because you obtained the Command Seal, you wanted to join the war? Even if you don't have a wish to entrust to the Holy Grail to fulfill?"

"Isn't it possible? I'm not the only magician participating in this Holy Grail War with this idea in mind," Tatsuya smiled.

Kotomine Kirei. Webber Velvet. Keyneth El-Melloi Archibald.

None of the masters Tatsuya knew had clear wishes.

The latter two relied on this Holy Grail War more for personal glory and to prove their beliefs.

"Then let me ask you this question in another way. If you win in the end and get the Holy Grail, what wish would you want to fulfill?" Morgan looked into Tatsuya's eyes. "It could be wealth, power, fame. Even if it's a little vulgar, it's allowed."

"Can I only choose one?" Tatsuya raised his eyebrows.

"You can ask for all of them," Morgan shook her head. "Or maybe you are actually a serious magician who wants to use the power of the Holy Grail to reach the Root whirlpool?"

Morgan's questions were not aggressive, but every word hit Tatsuya's heart directly.

He had no special wishes that needed the help of the Holy Grail to be fulfilled, nor did he have any pain that required an omnipotent wish-making machine to overcome.

But if... if you have to find a reason.

It's not a mission imposed on him by "some existence," but his own idea.

It does exist, but Tatsuya also doubted whether his own "purpose" was necessary.

If possible, Tatsuya wanted to keep this idea deep in his heart, without anyone knowing, until the moment it could be realized.

Unless... even his inner heart would be seen through.

Suddenly, without warning, Morgan grabbed Tatsuya's wrist.

Her expression was ready for battle.

Tatsuya immediately realized that although he could clearly see the stars and the moon, he could hear faint thunder from afar, gradually approaching where he was.

The magic attached to it quickly became clear.

It was no surprise who the visitor was.

Tatsuya raised his hand and opened the barrier, leaving a wide enough opening for people to enter and exit.

The barrier would be destroyed by such a brutal act, and it would be better to set it up again from scratch instead of restoring it afterward.

No matter how you looked at it, it was troublesome.

That was the sound caused by Rider's Noble Phantasm passing by.

Perhaps seeing that the barrier was open, the landlord made preparations to welcome the guests, and the ox cart treasure slowly landed on the wide lawn in the backyard of Tatsuya's house along the indicated path.

"It looks like you're not here to fight, Rider," Tatsuya sat there motionless.

But the King of Conquerors on the ox cart pinched his chin and looked mischievously at the master and servant whose shoulders were almost touching.

"I came at the wrong time and disturbed your good time," Iskandar laughed loudly, showing his white teeth. "How about I come back at another time?"

Tatsuya glanced at Artoria, who was dressed in a suit and tie and jumped off the ox cart holding Irisviel.

"Since you came prepared, being ordered to leave so easily would feel dangerous," Tatsuya stood up from the eaves and stepped on the floor barefoot. "Einzbern, are you planning to abandon the alliance with us and choose to ally with Rider's camp?"
