Fate/Transcendent

Roman of House Trambelio, or Roman Trambelio for conventional reasons happens to be the object of disdain for many a people and rightfully so, born into a major magus family with a partially defunct leg and lacking one eye, Roman would no doubt be disdained by the mostly elitist and aristocratic Magi. Maybe even thought of as a breeding mare. The fact that he was engaged already spoke volumes upon volumes regarding that. But, It wasn't as if all hope was lost. Yes he was slightly crippled and no type of healing worked but, had anyone sought to understand why it was so? If they did, did they ever succeed? The truth of it was, they didn't. Roman had died before and reincarnated, passed through the origin of all creation, the Root, retaining a self. Some part of his soul was sapped hence the dysfunctions but he'd gained much for it, a power that may shake the very world given time to truly manifest. Question was, what would he do with it? === You can find up to 7 chapters ahead at, patre0n.com/stoned_face

Threat Eliminated

New York, America

Central Park,

"You expect me to simply lay down and die?"

Galvarosso Scladio narrowed his eyes, annoyed even in his vast wisdom.. The older man in that moment exhibited the nature that let him be the head of a family not even governments could threaten or move against up until now. He put both hands over his cane and raised his head ever so slightly, just enough that he had to stare down at the arguably short smiling Francesca Prelati.

"Ummmm...." In response, the white haired girl cutely poked her cheek, tilting her head for extra 'cute' points, "Is this supposed to be some kind of power display? If so..." She leaned uncomfortably close once again, "It disappoints immensely."

"I like how you two believe you have the leisure to ignore me."

Both gazes landed on the speaker,...

Riight.. He was still here..

Roman Trambelio Hauth was still here, fixing his collars with a massive grin etched across his face, his one eye seemingly glowing despite the strong sunlight.

"Ah no no.." Francesca shook her head back and forth multiple times, denying the 'accusation', "I wouldn't even imagine such a thing! I simply wished to remove the insect before we... talked." Her thin lips split into an eerily wide smile, a smile that didn't recede even as she folded up her umbrella, reeled it back and attempted to shove it straight through the thinking Galvarosso's chest.

Keyword being 'attempted'.

"Ehhh... Why, Lord Roman?"

Francesca Prelati winced in feigned pain, dropping her umbrella and rubbing the top of her head..

Roman had smashed down his cane right onto her head, using it like a stick not with enough strength to severely damage but just enough to throw her off, giving him ample time to walk over to Galvarosso and stand beside the stout old man..

"Simple, I like this dude more than some bumbling trans-faggot that happens to be Fre-Fr-" Roman put a hand over his mouth, closing his eye in disgust before releasing a defeated sigh, "Can't say it." The Evil God gave a reason no one there bought for his action, not caring for any response.

"...Are you opposing my mission?...." Francesca crossed her arms, narrowing her gaze at the raven haired magus responsible for the destruction of an entire city, "Oh well, I guess it doesn't matter then." She shrugged casually but then did something strange..

"Haah..." With her breathing becoming more and more haggard, the young 'girl' placed a hand over her chest, holding out the other to Roman with a flushed face, "It seems even I am not exempt from your whims..."

"You're a fucking weirdo, anyone ever tell you that?"

"How...Howw..." Francesca took a deep breath and looked at the blue sky, "Simply wonderful, what a superb thing. This world.... It.." Such a being, such nature, she couldn't endeavour to control or keep it to herself, "The world should know of such pure glory.."

"I agree on that." Roman nodded in agreement, rubbing his chin in thought as he stared at the sweating yet silent Galvarosso... he knew he was outclassed, outmanoeuvred and knew his life depended on the whims of the two standing near him but, he, Galvarosso was still calm for the most part..., "I changed my mind old man, you're pretty cool.. Wanna be friends?"

"...." Galvarosso stared at the Trambelio silently, coming from anyone else this wouldn't seem like anything other than a lie or a stupid attempt at messing with him but not from the man smiling at him right now.. No, all information gathered pointed to the fact that he was exactly the type to be serious about something like this, "Before I choose, I must know.. What is the extent of your conflict with the Holy Church? What state do you wish to see them to?"

"I just want them to leave little Timmy alone, he's had enough.."

"He means he's going to destroy the Church." Kagetora yawned, lazily scratching her stomach with not a care in the world for the events occurring around her... Noticing the fat man's confusion, the War God of Echigo clarified, "My Master has a.. 'unique' way of talking, you can understand it after a while though... Meh." Maybe it was just her that could understand him... That felt strange?

"Ah..Ah... I see why Lord Roman wishes to keep the geezer alive. You are to-"

Francesca was cut off by Heartless smashing a reinforced fist right into her face, the hit was clean and the bitch was nowhere to be seen... The crimson haired man simply dusted off his cloak right after, acting as if what he'd done was the normal thing to do...

"....He just punched her."

"Thanks Sherlock, I seemed to have had a moment of blindness."

".....Was I not supposed to do that?" There was an obstacle and he removed it optimally, what was the problem?

"He punched her into a skyscraper.... I...." Kagetora shouted defiantly, "Why didn't I think of that?!?!" In defiance to whom, only she knew..

"I'm afraid I'll have to decline an allegiance if destruction is your goal..."

"What's this... a pay to win at life wanker?" Roman stared down at the man thoughtfully, towering over his somewhat short figure.... If church destruction was enough to call off an alliance, he was a church supporter? "Man I think you're cool but if even you have a thing for little boys, I don't feel like we can be friends anymore.."

"We were never friends in the first place.."

"Gasp!"

"He actually said gasp.... Wow."

"Such betrayal!" Roman dramatically put a hand over his heart, looking to the skies for some semblance of answer to why a dear friend had decided to hurt him so.... Jokes aside, there was a reason Scladio wasn't a part of the American Government like the other magical organisation in America and Roman felt that had something to do with his seeming likeness for the Holy Church.

"Oh well, in honour of our friendship..."

"What friendship?"

"You may live to see tomorrow, good luck..."

Roman turned about, waving his hand as he walked with the help of his cane, approaching the semi-crater Francesca had created when she crashed back.... The young girl shot forth at inhuman speeds, leaping for a confused Galvarosso with a grin on her sickly pale face.

Only to once again be stopped midway, this time by Roman raising his cane and somehow impaling her through the chest with it.... Leaning down, the one eyed Magician whispered something into the girl's ear and that,

"I.. understand."

Somehow managed to make her stop choking on her own blood and smile instead, even as the light slowly faded from her pitch black eyes.

"Master, I thought you didn't kill kids.." Kagetora was less than pleased about the development, he'd attacked her when she wasn't paying attention even when the girl had clearly expressed her desire to NOT attack or even aggravate him.

"There's a lot wrong with that sentence..." Firstly, Francesca was no child, she was centuries old and wasn't even an actual she.. Secondly, it was a child murderer and possible rapist that had messed with him on more than one occasion throughout his life while believing he didn't know.. Thirdly,

"She switched bodies, probably gonna pop up somewhere else.."

There was an instance where a certain angered clock tower Enforcer killed her over 30 times and she still appeared here before him today.

"Huh." Kagetora's belief that she shouldn't be second guessing Roman's actions was renewed and as for believing him? Well, even if she was technically alive right now, the War God had insisted they keep it intact in a strange moment of obsession... She figured it was because she could feel his emotions through it.

"Good luck old man, may 'God' be with you, I certainly ain't."

"A sensible move.." Heartless, Kurou Adashino expressed his approval of Roman's actions, if the Scladio remained active and were given incentive to come into conflict with the American Government, their forces and influence were enough to get the nation caught up in itself effectively removing any notion of them interfering in the war between the Mage's Association and the Holy Church until their own 'war' ended.. And considering Roman was supplying weaponry and expendable troops to either side in one way or the other, it wouldn't end soon enough..

Then there was the 'boar' to ensure America kept it's nose out of their business.

"Oi Master.... you're glowing.." Kagetora poked Roman curiously, noticing that he'd suddenly started giving off wisps of light as soon as they stepped into the sunlight...

"No!" Roman stomped his foot, "Fuck m-"

"...Where the hell did he go?!"

"I do not detect his presence anywhere." Heartless felt that the sanctions on magecraft usage on American soil were a pain in the ass.

-

"...Huh..."

Roman thought he'd become one of the people that glowed in the sunlight, turned out it was just someone spiriting him away.... What the hell was this place though?

The magical energy here was... just so different, dense and pure it might as well have been poison to modern magi.

"Hm... no taste, pathetic.. What a pathetic creature.."

"Well fuck you too.." Roman faced the one who'd insulted him and whistled, "Oh.. damn."

"I suppose you regret your earlier words now."

"Ja, they were inappropriate."

"At least you know of manners."

"Let me correct myself...." Roman cleared his throat, lightly bumping his fist against his chest, "I suggest presenting your services in a brothel and no, I am not willing to be your client. The nine tails might be a minus for some though."

"..."
