Fate/Transcendent

Roman of House Trambelio, or Roman Trambelio for conventional reasons happens to be the object of disdain for many a people and rightfully so, born into a major magus family with a partially defunct leg and lacking one eye, Roman would no doubt be disdained by the mostly elitist and aristocratic Magi. Maybe even thought of as a breeding mare. The fact that he was engaged already spoke volumes upon volumes regarding that. But, It wasn't as if all hope was lost. Yes he was slightly crippled and no type of healing worked but, had anyone sought to understand why it was so? If they did, did they ever succeed? The truth of it was, they didn't. Roman had died before and reincarnated, passed through the origin of all creation, the Root, retaining a self. Some part of his soul was sapped hence the dysfunctions but he'd gained much for it, a power that may shake the very world given time to truly manifest. Question was, what would he do with it? === You can find up to 7 chapters ahead at, patre0n.com/stoned_face

The Makings Of War

Fuyuki, Japan,

International Airport,

??? POV,

Near the entry of an ordinarily vast airport, a number of by-goers, as well as people who had just arrived at the city, could be seen staring at someone in great awe, some even blushed, forgetting their own partners.

Long pale hair that reached her waist, blood red eyes, a woman of ethereal beauty. She wore a fur-trimmed white coat, and a similarly coloured skirt with thigh high boots (Again, of the same colour) and a fur cap on her head. The woman, despite looking to be more than twenty years old, looked and walked around like an excited child, her eyes practically glowing and a gleeful smile on her face. The sunlight from the massive glass panes placed instead of walls only served to enhance her beauty.

"Irisviel, calm down!"

The people there could only stare and discuss as a blonde woman in a professional black suit followed behind the white haired chi-*ehem* woman with a defeated expression on her face, her emerald eyes holding a hint of amusement.

And, what happened next was exactly what the blonde was trying to warn Irisviel about. She bumped into someone.. or rather, her leg hit something solid and a small boom followed.

"I can't say I like how people keep bumping into me." An amused yet confused voice came next, "But I guess this isn't too bad." The man that had fallen to the ground nodded, sagely rubbing his chin.

"Ah, I'm so so-" Irisviel's words got stuck in her throat. Black hair, an eye covered by a patch, a pitch black cane and a Victorian style choice in clothing.... This looked familiar..

"Pft-" A thin young man that appeared to his companion laughed, averting his gaze, seemingly trying to stop what he was doing.

"Fuck you, Waver."

"Miss Irisviel ,please watch where you're going." A cold elegant voice, Irisviel looked at the maid with similar features as herself with surprised eyes, that was an Einzbern homunculus.. She knew one when saw one, having grown up with them all around her.

The blonde woman from before put a hand in front of Irisviel, her other looking as if she was trying to grasp onto the hilt of a sword that wasn't there, wariness practically radiated off her person. How did these people know her master's (Albeit not truly) name?

"Are you hurt, Master?" Waver looked at the sheer change in tone the homuncu- Thea had, going from cold to concerned in less than a second, in slight surprise, were homunculi supposed to be like that?

"I'm fine." The 'man' answered as Thea helped him to his feet, carefully.

"R-Ro..uhmm..." Irisviel tried her best to place the name, completely recognising the stranger after she'd seen the maid.

"Roman, how's it been?" The oldest son and only son of the Trambelio Family smiled with a closed eye, holding out a hand, a pleasant expression forming on his face.

"Yes, Roman! You really grew up!" Irisviel von Einzbern, someone imperative to the incredibly old Einzbern family of magus originating from Germany, circled Roman with an intrigued and animated smile on her face. She looked him up and down before nodding in approval, "You look healthy. "

"And you look far brighter than before." Roman answered with a pleasant smile, he'd met her before. During one of the many meetings with other old families he had to attend as a Trambelio... Well, not that she'd been in the meeting but a bit of exploration never harmed anyone. She'd pretty much been an emotionless and blank slate then. She did treat him right though, and he wouldn't forget that.

"My! Ever the charmer!" The older woman hugged him with a cheerful smile, it really was nice meeting him after years. He'd grown up to be a pretty good looking young man. "Saber, meet Roman Trambelio." Irisviel gestured to the blonde guarding her, completely forgetting that she may have possibly given away something important.

'Saber' sighed exasperatedly before holding out her hand, "Greetings. A pleasure."

Roman nodded, observing her for a few moments before he too, shook her hand with a harmless smile, "Likewise."

"What brings you here?" Irisviel asked with a curious gaze, she'd noticed the cases the two men held in their hands but didn't quite know what they may contain.

Waver, who'd been trying to appear dignified and was actually nervous about the people staring at them, had a bead of cold sweat run down his forehead. That woman had just said 'Saber', they'd not summoned anything yet and they didn't stand the slightest of chances if things went awry.

"I had some business, namely a murderer I sent some men for." Roman smiled pensively, yeah, being rich had a lot of benefits.

"Irisviel, we need to go." Saber lightly tapped her master's shoulder, they'd decided on a meeting time and she was getting a bit carried away. At the same time.... the blonde servant didn't trust the one eyed magus the slightest bit. Her instincts told her not to.

"Well... be careful. Let's meet later. Bye!" Irisviel waved her hand as Saber dragged her away.

"Master?" Thea reached behind her back, her gaze turning sharper, the maid leaned forward ever so slightly, if this was a master, murdering right here would benefit Roman greatly.

"No, that'd be useless." Roman held up a hand stopping her, firstly, getting through a Saber class servant was impossible, surely Irisviel knew that and second, he wasn't interested in fighting just yet. This could, after all, be something far more thrilling.

"He's right. Nothing is getting past a servant, especially not a Saber." Waver bit his finger, clearly dissatisfied with the Saber being summoned already. He restlessly tapped his foot on the ground, impatient to summon a servant of his own, "Roman, we need to hurry!"

"I suppose so. I'll meet you at the docks tonight, meanwhile, you can proceed with your summoning." Roman seemed to have a thoughtful expression on his face, wasn't there a rule or something about not summoning national servants?... A home field advantage... Meh, he was gonna do it anyway.

"Viel Glück." Roman closed his eye, taking off his hat and holding it against his chest, "Zögern Sie nicht, mich anzurufen, wenn Sie Probleme haben."

Waver nodded shortly and walked away with clenched fists, he was going to prove himself to everyone with this war and he was grateful to Roman for his help... Perhaps the Trambelio had the same intentions regarding this as himself.

"Let's go, Thea." Roman walked away too, slightly limping as always. At the same time, he dialled a certain number on his phone.

Meanwhile, the few people that had been watching them wondered if there was some sort of event in the works, what with so many foreigners arriving.

-x-X-x-

The Sun shone brightly over the bustling and life-filled city of Fuyuki, Japan. People went about their days with smiles or with annoyed expressions, others with exasperation in their steps. Housewives bought whatever they planned on cooking for their families, the more rebellious teens loitered and messed around different parts of the city.

Yet, none could ever predict what was coming for them. Something that seemed as if it should have happened in some fictitious story.

But that some time off, in a certain abandoned warehouse near the docks, a single young man sat on a chair, possibly passed out, his arms and legs tied with thick ropes. He looked fairly attractive, or he should have, but his body showed signs of deficiency. He had orange hair, two piercings and only wore a white tank top with black jeans both of which were dirty with dried blood.

So it had been for perhaps days, or weeks.

Today was different however, he wasn't going to be stuck here any longer after this fateful day.

The massive iron doors of the warehouse were pushed open, letting in the bright light of the shining Sun except it wasn't really a ray of hope. Six men in casual clothing walked in, wearing jackets or t-shirts along with jeans or baggy pants. What stood out however, were that these men had a number of tattoos over their bodies.

"Ryuunosuke Uryuu." The young man 'Ryuunosuke' was brought to his senses by a voice he instantly registered as annoying. The tapping of a cane followed by slow footsteps didn't do much to help his initial thoughts.

"Well damn, gentlemen, I praise your talent." Roman lightly clapped his hands, he didn't exactly remember the guy's name so he told the local talent he'd hired to find a serial murderer that sought out women and children. Either Fuyuki didn't have many serial killers or these guys were really good... Roman leaned towards the former in that regard.

"The payment." A rough yet serious voice.

"My the attempts at professionalism from someone that looks like he was born of incest are endearing!" Roman smiled amused, his one eye shining as he peered into the eyes of the now annoyed 'gangster'.

"Regardless, a deal is a deal."

At that moment, Thea walked in holding a case and placed it on the ground. It was filled with cold hard cash, something the Trambelio had no shortage of considering his background, magus didn't give two shits about material wealth except when they did.

"Now bugger off." Roman smiled.

His smile only widened when the men refused to move, "Hand over everything valuable you got and we will."

"Man, I have shit business sense. Dealing with fatherless fucks was never gonna be a good idea." Roman laughed slightly before raising a hand and snapping his fingers.

A gust of wind and five headless corpses fell to the ground. Swift and painless.... still however, messy. The blood gushing from the headless bodies ruined the floor.... The heads though, they were still stuck in nasty grins.

"Thea."

"Understood, Master." Thea uttered some words in a low voice and the dead bodies caught fire, no evidence meant no one to trace something back to.... Well not that it would really matter if they were traced down.

"Wow, that was amazing!" Ryuunosuke smiled in glee, that shit was cool as hell! Could he learn to do that? His previous annoyance was forgotten instantly.

"I'd say thank you but you get kicks out of murdering children..." Roman mused with a thoughtful expression. Thea, took this time to walk up behind Ryuunosuke and place her hands on either side of his head.

"Did you, ever stick it in one? Wait, don't answer that."

"I'll d-"

Before Ryuunosuke could finish his words, Thea ripped off his head and threw it away, an annoyed expression on her usually emotionless face.
