Fate/Transcendent

Roman of House Trambelio, or Roman Trambelio for conventional reasons happens to be the object of disdain for many a people and rightfully so, born into a major magus family with a partially defunct leg and lacking one eye, Roman would no doubt be disdained by the mostly elitist and aristocratic Magi. Maybe even thought of as a breeding mare. The fact that he was engaged already spoke volumes upon volumes regarding that. But, It wasn't as if all hope was lost. Yes he was slightly crippled and no type of healing worked but, had anyone sought to understand why it was so? If they did, did they ever succeed? The truth of it was, they didn't. Roman had died before and reincarnated, passed through the origin of all creation, the Root, retaining a self. Some part of his soul was sapped hence the dysfunctions but he'd gained much for it, a power that may shake the very world given time to truly manifest. Question was, what would he do with it? === You can find up to 7 chapters ahead at, patre0n.com/stoned_face

Instant Rejection?!

Fuyuki, Japan,

Shinto District (Partially Ruined),

"I did not expect such filth in this age... Remove yourself from my sight this instant."

A cold, unfeeling yet commanding and authoritative voice... One befitting a Demon King, she who had dared to burn down any and all temples across her land. Oda Nobunaga, a fearsome warrior, a technical genius and one hailed as the King of Innovation.

She stood on a matchlock rifle flying in the air with one hand behind her back and the other on the hilt of her black katana, her crimson cape fluttering in the wind.

"Excuse me?"

"Filth? Mongrel.... Who do you think you are?!"

While Tamamo's reaction was mostly one of intrigue at the sheer audacity of the newly appeared servant, Gilgamesh's was far more adverse. His massive ego didn't allow him to take such an insult sitting down..

The King of Heroes turned around with twitching eyes, his expression contorting in uncontrolled anger at the woman.. no child's sheer stupidity and arrogance at calling HIM filth, "Know your place!"

Dozens of spears and swords were fired from the Gate of Babylon, straight at Oda Nobunaga at several times the speed of sound itself.

"My place? I'm well aware of my place, filth such as yours is what pollutes the mind of man." The Demon King only slightly raised her hand, numerous matchlock rifles manifesting out of thin air and firing in tandem, shooting Gilgamesh's phantasms down moments before they reached Nobunaga, "Your kind make humanity weak and complacent! An unforgivable act from both you and them."

Strangely enough, the Demon King of Sixth Heaven seemed to be far calmer than usual as she spoke about her beliefs, looking down on the divine beings with crimson eyes.

"....?!" Gilgamesh's eyes widened in slight surprise, his noble phantasms had been shot down just like that! Sure they weren't the strongest of what he had but they were nowhere near something one would brush off so easily..., "What are you?" The King of Heroes narrowed his eyes.

"Anti-Divine... She's specialised for slaying Gods and all things divine.... This.. is a problem.." Tamamo bit her lower lip, this was very troubling considering that Gilgamesh and even herself were Divine in nature... If this servant scaled with divinity then.. She was quite literally the bane of their existence, "King of Heroes, we should work together."

"Huh, presumptuous of you to claim, I, would need any help." Gilgamesh scowled, levitating in the air and rising just enough to have to look down on the silent Oda Nobunaga. The newly appeared servant was an immensely powerful one.

"As much as I would love to burn you right here, I have a purpose in coming here.. So..." With a grin, Nobunaga, held an open hand in front of her face, "You are allowed to live another day.."

"Such insolence is untolerable!" Gilgamesh had had enough and he acted on his temper, releasing a hail of swords and spears at the Demon King....

Weaponry cut through air, followed by clangs and gunshots.

Still, however.... The mana Kirei was supplying him ran short due to his furious outburst and the Noble Phantasms that were actually fired were instantly shot down by Nobunaga.

It wasn't that Gilgamesh was weak, not by any stretch of the imagination. It was a thing of compatibility, possessing B - A+ Ranked Divinity would usually be a huge cheat against anything and everything... except, well, Oda Nobunaga who held the Anti Divine property, this 'cheat' turned into a weakness in front of her. Only empowering her and making him weak instead.

Oda Nobunaga, was a very powerful servant with an insane skill set to boot, no doubt her Master would have a very easy time in this war.

"....Damn it, Kirei!" The King of Heroes cursed under his breath as he felt a command seal activate and order him back... This was outrageous, completely outrageous! He was being forced to let this audacious mongrel go?! "Don't think this is over.." He glared at the mad Archer, Gilgamesh wasn't going to forget this.

"Soooo what did you come here for?" Tamamo no Mae, in sharp contrast to Gilgamesh, was still calm... No that was a lie, what had just happened made her have a good image of the new servant.. Why? Well it was because the golden haired manchild had been very rude and condescending to both her and her Master. He got what he deserved... hmph!

"That... I am intrigued by that weapon..." Oda Nobunaga pointed at the smoke rising in the distance, a thick black smoke that seemed to reach the sky, smoke that rose following the explosions Roman had caused,

"And the owner of this field.."

Begrudging as it was, she was forced to admit that without a proper Master supplying her the necessary energy, there was no way to realise her ambitions and desires for her country and her people...

"Oya....." Tamamo leaned to the side, holding a hand over her mouth to hide her smug expression, "Oya Oya Oya.... What, the owner of this field?" Her tails wagged about behind her, clearly excited, "That would be, of course, the amazing, me." She stood up straight, placing a hand over her chest with her ears twitching... The fox eared servant was fairly entertained.

"....Nevermind then." The Demon King of Sixth Heaven instantly dropped the topic, no longer interested. This in turn, made Tamamo take a step back in surprise.

She had burnt down all the temples pertaining to any and all Gods in her life, allying with this woman would be spitting on that. Instead, she now focused her attention completely on the weapon used to cause the explosions.

The smell of burnt wood and flesh permeated the area, accompanied by a scent that would make any normal man drunk... It would appear that even in death, the short lived Assassin had left behind a mark, her mark, on the entire area.

"That then, who caused that?" Nobunaga questioned with both hands behind her back, looking down on the ruined state of the district dom- *ehem* previously dominated by high end establishments and skyscrapers, it pleased her.

Roads cracked, craters across the ground, decrepit buildings that had either fallen apart or were in the process of falling apart, burnt charred land, destroyed burning cars and surprisingly few dead people... most of which seemed to be affiliated with the Church, dominated the Shinto District..

....Clearly a gas leak... No, definitely a gas leak.

Down on the ground, Raikou looked up, wondering if the servant that had just arrived was friend or foe, "Hmmm~.." She tilted her head, deciding to go to her Master instead.

-

"Man, are gas leaks dangerous."

Roman commented, looking at the back of his hand with a pleased smile.. Where there were previously 4 command seals, there were now 7, ones he'd stripped from the unconscious teen lying nearby before erasing the events of today and the day before from his memories... Ignorance was bliss after all.

"Gas leaks, Master?" A certain white haired servant spoke without looking back, poking at the ground with the back of her spear, curious as to why it seemed like it had melted somehow... Ground wasn't supposed to melt, right?

"Shush.." Roman silenced her with a gesture, not interested enough in her to answer.

"...Is this going to be a normal thing?" Kagetora deadpanned at her new Master, just feeling emotions differently didn't mean she didn't have them... She could do normal things!.... Probably... Maybe?

Irisviel laughed awkwardly, "I've found he usually does... whatever he feels like doing..." The homunculus even slightly envied his guts, how could one talk so freely?

"Ja, I love freedom." Roman gave her a small thumbs up, pondering on something else... If nuclear fission was possible... Was an artillery unit manned by golems also possible?... He definitely wanted to try that...

"This is.... I have no words..." Artoria walked around, looking at what was left after Roman's attack.... Not even Assassin's remains were to be found here...

"I don't blame you. You're not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed with how Merlin played you." Roman answered with a sneer, hoping that the British King would react adversely and she did,

"What would you know?"

"Oooh, I can really feel the authority in those words.. Merlin teach you that? Guess playing you wasn't all he did... Don't tell me it's natural... Nahh, you're too insecure for that." Roman was as always, barely cordial with even a King.

"I ask that you shut up.." Artoria's lips twitched under the verbal onslaught, it was annoying... Very annoying...

"A King needs to ask people to do stuff? Damn, Britain must be going to shit." Roman tapped his cane on the ground, smiling widely.. He seemed to be enjoying the exchange..

Unfortunately, or fortunately, the other party didn't hold the same opinions as him, "You.... have no right to-"

"Is that what you told yourself at night after Lancelot went off with your 'queen', a loveless marriage so doesn't matter, was it?"

The King of Knights clenched her fists in frustration, fed up with the magician's unreasonable insults of her. Ones she did nothing to deserve... Still... She wouldn't be getting the chance to act on these frustrations considering Kagetora had appeared out of nowhere and seemed to be staring down at her with a massive, even eerie grin etched across her face... Katanas in both hands.

"You wouldn't be thinking of attacking, would you?"

".....I wouldn't."

Artoria released a deep sigh, it was unbecoming of her to react adversely to mere words.... Something she noticed the Magician seemed to be going for now that she was calm.

"I am told you are the one responsible for this destruction?"

"Ja?"

"Join my armies..."

"Nein."

The Demon King of Sixth Heaven, having just arrived, was shot down as soon as she spoke for the first time in her life.
