Good Intentions

After the events of the beowolf attack Jaune was bedridden for a month. Even though the doctor had said that he was expecting it to be a few months, due to his abnormally large aura reserves as well as the scabbard Jaune was able to heal at a much faster speed than normal.

During the time he was healing Jaune slept a lot, as this was the only way for him to enter the Reality Marble at this time. While he was awake Jaune would practice his meditation while in his spare time he watched videos and read learning materials on his scroll at the four heroes request. Jaune learned a lot in this short amount of time and his mind absorbed the information like a sponge leaving nothing out.

Throughout this month Jaune began to learn medical knowledge from Chiron and Tama within the Reality Marble. He learned about his body and all its muscles, bones, tendons and organs and their roles in his body. Jaune was taught about the many different plants that had healing properties if mixed properly in measured amounts. He also learned of herbs that had magical qualities similar to dust.

All the while Jaune learned to cook with Shirou. Jaune loved this time he spent with his brother. So he did his best in his studies so he could spend as much time with Shirou as possible in this time. While Shirou was showing Jaune how to cook he explained how the Reality Marble was a recreation of the world though his soul. His aura/magic had the ability to scan an object in the real world and recreate it here in the Reality Marble. Shirou explained how he had used his magic to create copies of every weapon he had ever scanned and use them in battle. Hearing the Jaune became so excited that he forgot to stir the ingredients, which started a fire.

Jaune was quickly reprimanded for this and for his losing concentration. Shirou explained that, heroes needed to train themselves to be able to do two or even more things at once.

Once he was able to do this Jaune could increase his training as well as his situational awareness. Situational awareness as explained to Jaune was the greatest ability that a hero needed to survive battle. If they were not cognizant of their environment then they could be killed by making a wrong step or by being hit by an unseen attack.

Jaune learned a lot in these weeks and after he healed enough to move Jaune offered his family to start cooking for them. They all had uneasy looks before Dian agreed to it only if she was there to help. After the first meal the family made a majority vote to allow Jaune to do the cooking from then on.

Jaune could only explain to everyone that he learned how to cook from the videos he watched while he was healing. The family took this in stride and asked Jaune to keep working hard on it as it was a skill that any and every huntsman or huntress should have.

There followed a moment that had three of the heroes shaking their heads and Shirou laughing madly. Due to his skill learned from his brother who was known far and wide for his 'orgasmic' food, Jaune's food led to an interesting event. They had all decided to go eat in the family room to watch a huntsman tournament on the wide screen scroll. Just having finished dinner, cleaning up and finally bringing his food out, Jaune walked into the family room and looked around. Maddy was comatose on the ground letting out happy giggling sounds. Jesse was in his recliner with a wistful smile on his face. Cedar his older male cousin had a similar expression to his father as he sat on the love seat by himself.

The difference came when Jaune saw Dian and Maple, his female cousin, both sitting on either end of the couch with flushed faces. They had their knees brought up to their chests and blankets covering them. They even had chills from what Jaune could tell.

"Aunt Dian, Maple what's wrong you guys seem to be sick? Did my food make you sick?" Jaune felt worry color his happy mood.

"What?! No nothing like that! We…ah were just watching a sad movie and started crying that's all." Dian said in a tone that went right over Jaune's head like it was meant to.

"Oh well if it was my food then I should stop cooking until—" Jaune started before the whole family intereupted him.

"NO!!!" The five yelled at Jaune.

"We are fine Jaune it's just…" Dian started

"Woman problems." Maple finished.

"Why did you say that? Why couldn't you come up with something other than that?" Dian hissed to her daughter.

"I didn't hear you coming up with anything better mom." Maple hissed right back.

"Jesse?" Dian said with a sickly-sweet voice.

Jesse hearing this tone shivered. Before creakily looking over at his wife. "Yes, dear?" Jesse asked hesitantly.

"Do you think you could take Cedar, Maddy and Jaune with you to make sure the barn is all locked up? Me and Maple need to freshen up before the fights start." Dian said with authority that brooked no argument.

"Right" Jesse said shortly, "Lets go kids we need to double check everything is locked up."

Cedar looking on with a questioning gaze went and picked up the still comatose Maddy. Jaune with his food in hand just followed his uncle and cousins from the room.

Once they were gone Dian and Maple rushed to their respective rooms and finally groaned in relief in more than one sense.

Outside Jaune heard what he could have sworn was a pair of cows screaming. Saying so to his uncle he got the stare of a man who knew you were dead and Jesse responded with, "I pity you should any woman ever hear you say that."

After Jesse finished and they turned to go inside Jaune heard a pair of voices in his head. Both seemed to be holding back anger for what Jaune had no clue but he felt immense danger and feared going to sleep tonight.

"Jaune. You need to learn how to respect women. Lots and lots of training is in your future and none of the fun training either. Look forward to it." The twin voiced said as they had alternated between sentences.

Jaune shivered like that, for the rest of the night and the next few days.

He never did find out why this happened either. But he did learn one thing.

Women are scary.

Hello Fellow Readers!

This was an interesting chapter to write. I have trouble with writing any kind of innuendos or situations without making them seem to akward. I did what i could to make it less cring worthy and hope it worked out. Anyway slow and steady. Hope you stick with me as I try my hand at the worlds I love and its characters. See you next time on Fate/Remnant!

Thanks Fellow Readers!
