in a dark empty space a person was walking like a dead man, the eyes is empty, his step was weak, it is as if he was someone who is walking through a dessert and haven't drank water for 3 days.
before finally the person fell down.

Alex Pov
"well we meet again, it seems you are very powerful, but strength is not everything in this place."
"so your the tester, but what do you mean?"
"I know all about you, this time we will test your mental strength."
I was silent hearing his word.
"well let's just move one since you are being quite."
the space change, Alex is now in a small room, this room was all too familiar to him, in this room he saw his past self, he always look outside from the window, from this window he sometimes look into the park near his house, he saw kids having fun with their parents, a young couple enjoying each other company.
this can be said a normal scenery but to him it was something he never experience.
"do you remember this scene?, it was very common to you right?"
"yes it is."
"but funny isn't it, this common scene is something foreign to you, but why do you think that is?"
"I don't need to answer that."
"you don't need to or you don't want to?, ok then let's change the scene."
this time the place was the orphanage where Alex grew up in his current life.
the place is vibrant different from the last place, there's a scene of Kids playing there a tree in the middle of the open space, and under the tree was a single Child sitting under the shade, beside him is Alex.
the kid turn his head towards Alex then said. "why do you don't join them?, they tried to invite you but you always keep them at an arm length, why?"
"I don't know, maybe because I'm worried I am a bother, and you can't expect me to adjust my self to the way a kid talk."
The scene change again, it was a moment where I first officially meet Ai.
"You told her to take of her mask, but didn't you also using a mask?"
"Yes, i need to apologize to her."
Again the scene change, it was the first time I met Jeanne.
"Convinient isn't it?, you can get close to her because you know what she like, how is it to play with a saintess feeling?, how is it to have her in the palm of your hand?, well I understand you having a body of a devil and face like an angel."
Hearing his words I want to deny his accusation, but my words can't come from my mouth, it seems I didn't respect the people in this world, they are characters I see from a movie or anime, but right now I am living among them, I need to see them as a person and not a doll I can manipulate and control.
"you don't seem to be mad, why?"
"Because I am thankful, for making me realize my fault, I am fooling others around me and myself."
"Is that's so?"
"well it is true in the previous life I was unfortunate, I won't lie I resent the world, I hate the people around me, I showed my fang towards other since I'm afraid of them."
"then why don't I feel that emotion from you?"
"because, I've grown up, to think that everyone else is the one at fault is the mindset of a child, and didn't I get what I wish for, a person who can be called a parent for me, and now I gain many people who care for me"
the kid then change into Alex then he said. "it seems my role is redundant."
"well, I need to thank you, I can now finally say goodbye to my past life, thank you, but I don't hope to see you again."
the doppelganger then laugh. "don't worry you won't, after all I am now part of your past."
"is that so, then goodbye."

"say Kairi, is Alex okay, he seems to be sweeting so much is that normal?"
"no that's not normal."
"so what should we do?, the Homunculus said his body is fine, and there's no problem in his mana circuit."
when both of them was busy talking, Jeanne enter the room, she is now wearing her normal clothes.
she then look towards the direction of Alex, she showed a worried expression.
"what happen to Alex?"
she quickly approach Alex and put her hand on his head, she panicked.
"Sieg go ask for a basin and towel, Kairi go find someone to check him."
Both of them look towards each other and become quite, seeing this Jeanne become angry.
"what are you guys standing there for?"
Hearing the sweet and gentle Jeanne become angry they ran out to do what Jeanne told them.
She didn't realize that Alex was already awake and heard her.
"Jeanne, you don't need to be that angry at them."
When she heard Alex words she turn around and ran to him.
"I was worried about you, because you suddenly fainted."
I didn't talk and pulled her closer for a hug.
"Jeanne let's go on a date."
"Ok, let's go."
Hearing my words she smiled and show an excited and happy face.
"You two can come in, don't hide behind the door."
"Hahaha, we didn't intend to eavesdrop on you pair of couple love plan."
Hearing Kairi word Jeanne blushed.
"Alex you like to tease me, I will get angry you know?"
"Yes, I am sorry but, Jeanne is very cute when she blushed."
"cough... Then you two please excuse me, I will go out now."
Kairi then hurriedly went out to escape, seeing Kairi action we both laugh.
