Chapter 320 : I have failed you

She runs at the side where the lotuses get dense. She run back to the single path of the stone, what she now realised was a bridge. She turns to look around the lotuses.

"Dong Hai!" her voice drowned in the rain, all of her concentration was on finding Dong Hai. Something struck her back, the pain tore through her and blood came out of her. She fell over in the spring but she restored her balance. Instinctively she draws her sword out, eyes flashing around her.

"Who is there? Come forth!" She commanded. Nothing, no sign of gleaming red eyes. She clutches the sword in her hand.

"Dong Hai!" She shuddered, the rain started to hit the ground. The shattering of the raindrops overwhelmed her senses and then she stopped, putting her hand over her eyes, narrowing her eyes at the familiar figure under a dried tree.

He was sitting on the stone, his elbow resting on his knees and his chin on his palm.
