3 Chapter 3 : The First Sight

Hong Liu flew without paying any mind to her surroundings and she landed in the heavenly court. The royal deputies were shocked, some were outraged and some were too mesmerized at the beauty of magnificent wings and the Heavenly King was on the verge of being choked by his own anger.

"What is the meaning of this? Who are you?!"

"I am the Butterfly Fairy Princess of Green Forest, Bai Hong Liu," She announced.

There was one person in the whole court who paid no mind to the obvious disturbance. He sat unimpressed and silent as ever. He was sitting just below the Heavenly King, but his seat was not aligned below to the throne; rather it was beside it. The silver-haired deity in the blue robe sitting in a leisure position, his head leaning over his one hand and the hand was resting on his bended knee. His youthful face held no expression and the eyes were closed. As if untouched by anything.

This deity was The First Lord, the former master of the universe Dong Hai.

He didn't bother to open his eyes when the wind blew the court and she landed. The whole court startled and was on its feet. He sat there like a stone, unruffled and unmoved. It was when she announced herself that he opened his eyes with a mild curiosity held by the cold stone black eyes, she looked vicious with her red wings scattered behind her, all he could see is red and he leaned away from his hand, something spark in his eyes for a single fleeting moment.

"What is the princess of Green Forest doing here? And what is the reason for you to come here unceremoniously ?" the Heavenly Lord asked.

"There has been an injustice to my aunt the Queen of Green Forest, Bai Changxi under your rule, I came here to get justice for her," She said folding her wings back. Now she didn't look as fierce as before, she had an average height and slender frame but she still was an unmatched beauty, with her fine proclaim skin and the vibrant red-lotus mark on her forehead.

"What injustice are you referring to? If Your highness would be so kindly inclined to entitle the court," The man in a light yellow robe said, he was the second son of the heavenly Lord.

"You might have known her, as a mortal woman Xiu Wen,"

"Xiu Wen! The mortal wife of the Crown Prince! How could this be?" The shock mummers filled the court.

The First Lord leaned back in his rest position with tea in his hands, someday it was supposed to come out. He thought, with a bored sigh he sipped his tea. Now just karma would do its work, his eyes moved to the red fairy in the centre.

"Princess Yu Yan tried to kill my aunt, has she been put on trial?" Hong Liu asked.

"How dare you come here and barge in asking for a trial, accusing a heavenly princess?!" The first prince said, dressed in the blue robe he was just sitting beside his brother. He was the father of the Crown Prince and guardian of Princess Yu Yan.

"Everyone who did wrong is entitled to be accused," Hong Liu said.

The atmosphere was getting heated if the princess kept talking like that, heavenly clan reputation would be tarnished, the second prince thought, but he was also happy that his nephew's love was alive, only if he had chosen to come in the court today, this situation would have been different. Now a way has to be found to pacify the little princess of the green forest.

"Lord Father, If I may suggest something?" the second Prince bowed to the heavenly lord, asking permission.

The heavenly lord nodded giving his consent.

Then the second prince then addressed the court asking for all the deputies to take their leave kindly since the matter seems too personal to the imperial family and therefore should be treated as such so giving due respect all the deputies and lords left except the First Lord, though he was not the part the imperial family, his status was too high for anybody to say anything to his presence. He just sat there still sipping tea.

"Now, Her highness Bai Hong Liu. We are here to listen, please tell your side of the story we make sure that every complaint you have is rested,"

The polite facade of the heavenly clan was annoying to Hong Liu, the way they act in front of everybody and then the things they actually do in their own home. Hypocrites

"I don't have the patience for heavenly clan polite facade but if you still need to hear the facts of your own doing, so be it,"

Hong Liu told them everything her aunt had told her and they hear those things they already know.

"High Goddess Bai Changxi's powers were sealed by heaven so she went through a trail to ascend to the high goddess. How can the heavenly clan be responsible for this? We didn't know who she was," The First Prince said.

"So only the person of the high status is entitled to have some decent treatment from you?" Hong Liu asked, the furious fire burning in her eyes.

"How can a mortal be the wife of Heavenly Crown Prince?" The First prince said arrogantly.

"You heavenly people are still adamant to prove what? I don't understand, how can you argue and put such a thing in front of this. A powerless mortal woman was ordered to be imprisoned in a dark room just because she dared to fall for the crown prince and was with his child. Whose identity she was not aware of and then got killed by the heavenly princess. How you can even begin to defend yourself?"

"But the facts are different aren't they? Xiu Wen is High goddess Bai Changxi, she was on a trial and she didn't die, therefore there is no need to create commotion and endanger the peace of the realms and since she is the mother of my great-grandson and my grandson is in love with her, she is the Queen of Green forest, we will come up with a full apology and we will officially purpose a marriage," The Heavenly lord said, the worry line of obviously being cornered was started form in his half aged face.

The heavenly clan is not actually scared of being attacked by any other clan because nobody would dare rebel against their own protectors, the power of the dragon clan was unmatchable but it was just one clan they were scared of going against was the butterfly fairy clan, ruling over the green forest. These proclaim looking fairies were known for their viciousness, their magic comes from the ancient green forest where the creation has started; nobody in the three realms can go against them. Peace between the Heavenly clan and the Butterfly fairy clan was of utmost importance.

"So you mean if the mortal woman was not my aunt then the situation would have been fine! That a mortal innocent woman who was pregnant got treated wrong here and got killed later, won't be an injustice?! Or this won't be a disgrace to all celestial beings! Your chin is high with pride but for what? Is this what you call divinity?!" Hong Liu's voice echoed strongly in the heavenly court.

Her questions, the demand for justice was not just for her aunt but for the mortal woman who no matter the circumstances died here wrongly, no matter how people will paint this in future. Xiu Wen was dead, she was a mortal life that her aunt lived and that made the First Lord open his eyes once more, this time in admiration as he heard her. She was different. He looked at the heavenly lord and the first prince, the first prince who lived a good few hundred thousand years was now ashamed in front of her but the Heavenly Lord still had his false pride to save, so he looked up at the First Lord for help. The First Lord gave no indication that he saw him or paid any attention to his silent request.

"And my Aunt will never come to the celestial palace, I am here to ask how do you plan to serve justice or do the green forest have to take that in their own hands?"

The threat of war was clear, peace of the realms Dong Hai thought, he had to intervene. It doesn't matter he was retired now from his heavenly lord duty he still sometimes has to participate, the fact he does find really boring. He was enjoying the heavenly lord's obvious discomfort because of the harsh truth that was thrown by the little red fairy on his face.

"Since," He started from his seat, without changing his position, everybody looked up at him and it was the first time Hong Liu noticed the presence of the First Lord.

"This matter concerns two realms, how about you let me handle this so the prospect of unbiasedness could be achieved," He said in an indifferent voice.

"The First Lord, you…"The heavenly lord's voice trailed off thoughtfully.

"Why? Do you think that I won't do justice?" This time his voice was hard as he asked this, who would dare to raise a voice against that voice, not even the current ruler of Nine Heavens, after all, he is the king because of the First Lord.

"Please, Your Lordship" The heavenly lord nodded his consent and took his seat

The First Lord walked down from the centre steps that go up to the throne, his movements were unhurried but as he walked, the aura of power was unmistakable.

"And what about you? The princess of Green Forest Bai Hong Liu, would you doubt my judgement?" He asked directly, meeting her eyes for the first and standing in front of her.

Hong Liu for a second was off footed by being addressed by him directly. Everybody knows who he was. She had read about him in his history books, there was no ancient war that was not fought that he was not the part of but it was the first time she was actually looking at him and he was nothing she had imagined but she composed herself soon.

"No, I won't dare, my lord," She bonded her head a little. It would be foolish to doubt him, and she knew but if he wronged her aunt too then, the former master universe, be damned! She would settle the score, she would see to it.

"Very well then, all the parties that are concerned shall be summoned," He commanded.
