Fate Of The Missus

What was meant as a sign of love and devotion for other couples was nothing but a testament of his ownership on me. A daily reminder for the rest of my life. Until death do us part wasn’t an empty promise as with so many other couples that entered the holy bond of marriage. There was no way out of this union for me. So I was own by my husband until the end of my life. The last few words of the oath that men swore when they were inducted into the Black Clans could just as well have been the closing of my wedding vow. This wedding wasn’t about love or trust or choice. It was about duty and honour, about doing what was expected. A bond to ensure peace in Black territory and White Clans stop more bloodshed in between two big clans on this earth, B Clans and the last W Clans feud that clashes more than 2000 years.

Chapter 7

When we passed Father's door and relief washed over me, but then there three men rounded the corner at the end of the corridor.

So, I parted my lips to shout a warning, but it was too late as Su Liang skidded to a halt, but Qinli ran into the man in the middle with full force.

Most people would have lost their balance. Most people weren't six foot five and built like a hulk.

I jerked to a halt as time seemed to grind to a stop around me.

While Qina gasped beside me, but my gaze was frozen on my future husband. He was looking down at the head of my little sister, steadying her with his strong hands.

Hands he'd used to crush a man's throat.

"Su Qinli," I said, my voice shrills with fear.

So, I never called my sister by her full name unless she was in trouble, or something was seriously wrong.

Gosh! I wished I was better at hiding my terror.

Now everyone was staring at me, including Fu Shao. His cold blackens eyes scanned me from head to toe, lingering on my hair.

God, he was tall and huge. The men beside him were both over six feet bulky like a hulk. His hands were still on Qinli shoulders.

"Su Qinli, come here," I said firmly, holding out a hand.

As much I wanted my little sister far away from Fu Shao. She stumbled backward, then flew into my arms, burying her face against my shoulder.

He then raised one black eyebrow.

"That's Fu Shao, Big sister!" Qina said helpfully, not even bothering to hide her disgust.

As Su Liang made a sound like an enraged little naughty cat and stormed toward him and started pummeling his legs and stomach with his small fists.

"Bad man! Leave my Big sister alone! You never get her!"

My heart stopped right then. The man to Fu Shao side took a step forward. The outline of a gun was visible under his vest. He had to be Fu Shao bodyguard, though I really couldn't see why he needed one.

"No, Fang," Fu Shao said simply and the man stilled.

He caught my little brother's hands in one of his, stopping his little assault. I doubted he'd even felt the blows. I pushed Qinli toward Qina who wrapped a protective arm around her, then I approached Fu Shao.

Although, I was scared out of my mind, but I needed to get my little brother away from him.

Maybe B clans were trying to lay their feud to rest, but alliances could break in a blink. It wouldn't be the first time as Fu Shao and his men were still the enemy.

"What a warm welcome we get. That's the infamous hospitality of the little rage kid," a said the other man with Fu Shao. He had the same black hair with Fu Shao but his eyes were darker.

He was a couple of inches smaller than Fu Shao and not as broad, but it was unmistakable that they were brothers.
