Chapter 1

Kumagawa Misogi greeted the students in as he became vice-president. His constant smile kept on his face as Issei reprimanded him again. "Kumagawa-san why are you still not wearing school uniform? You may be vice-president but you have to upkeep the school's reputation."

Kumagawa simply smiled 『What do you mean? I am wearing a school uniform!』His face was plastered with the smile, never once wavering as he waved his hands around his "School Uniform" Black jacket with five yellow buttons that had screw patterns on them along with dark black pants. Issei shook his head as he gazed into Kumagawa's empty dark blue eyes. "I really can't convince you can I?" Kumagawa smiled as he apologised 『It's not my fault I'm so stubborn. But you would be a side character if the world was shounen jump!』

Issei gave up as Kumagawa kept on greeting the students as he walked in. Rin Tohsaka walked slowly as her servant warned her "Master, that kid seems dangerous." Rin replied from her link "He's creepy but he's definitely not dangerous. What sets me off is his constant smile. No matter how much people make fun of him, bully him even hurt him. He smiles constantly."

Archer observed the teen as Kumagawa greeted Rin. 『Morning Tohsaka! Slept in late again? 』Archer was unnerved, the teen rubbed him the wrong way with his speech patterns. He seemed warped, even more warped back when he was... never mind. No need to bring up old memories again.

Kumagawa smiled as he dragged a body into his basement. 『So what you're telling me is that a fun competition between seven people for a golden cup will happen soon and that you need to summon a servant right?』The man nodded furiously as a screw materialised in Kumagawa's hand. 『Now tell me. If I where to... say, summon one of the servant's would I be able to join?』The man furiously nodded before having the tape on his mouth ripped off.

Kumagawa gave the man a piece of paper with a pen before giving him the same smile he did while torturing the man. 『Please write down everything I need to know and how to summon said servant please along with all the procedures. Also, you wouldn't mind if I borrow 300 yen for this week's shounen jump do you?』

The man handed him 300 yen as Kumagawa thanked him 『Right, we don't need you to remember this do we?』

The man was about to scream as Kumagawa approached him as the last thing he heard before waking up on the streets.

Kumagawa looked at the paper before comparing it to the circle he had drawn. He gave a small huff as if proud of his work. The clock kept ticking as Kumagawa began to procrastinate, he had seen what the shit luck side characters had in gacha games through shounen jump. He who was regarded the greatest and best loser would get a crap servant. Hence, the solution? Procrastination.

He had left the weekly shounen jump in his school locker. 『Once again I've forgotten my shounen jump! 』With renewed vigour he chanted the words as he rubbed his hands together in some kind of anime like fashion before grasping his hands together as his eyes sharpened at the servant forming.

*Sorry guys, no Medea this time.*

"Servant Caster this is Viy, please take care of us both." Kumagawa looked at "Viy" before asking 『The doll?』Caster nodded. He quickly looked at the piece of paper before reading the next steps.

『I am required to know your true name?』Caster responded "Anastasia Nikolaevna Romanov and this is Viy." Kumagawa continued smiling and it slightly unnerved his servant. 『I see... I have no idea who you are but as long as I get to enter this competition I'm fine with it! Your name is too long so I'll just call you Anastasia-chan is that okay?』Caster nodded before giving him advice "It's best not to reveal a servant's true name in front of enemies." Kumagawa's smile faltered for the first time in a long time. 『Eh!? You mean we don't tell the enemies our names before charging up a big attack and facing off?』Anastasia was concerned about her master, it wasn't about his health. No it was about his state of mind. He was hiding everything so skilfully. Masking his true emotions under the mask of a smile.

"Master, what is your wish?" Kumagawa halted before turning around and giving her a big grin. 『I have no wish. I'm simply bored.』

Anastasia asked again "What is your wish?" Kumagawa's smiled disappeared as he looked at Anastasia with empty eyes. 『I was born a loser. I was born under a loser star. I was abandoned. I don't even feel pain. I was always a loser and will always lose in everything I do. Therefore I wish to win against the main characters of the shitty world. I'm simply a minus that crawls through chaos.』

『After all, you're just like me. Seeing the world the way I see it albeit a bit less negative than how I see it.』

In an abrupt change, his smile plastered back on his face. 『Just tell me if you need anything alright?』With that Anastasia was left with nothing to do apart from wonder the house. They say a person't surroundings show what type of person they are but that did not apply to Kumagawa Misogi.

A note was pinned down on the tabletop with a screw as it read.

『Gone to get my shounen jump from my locker at school. Be back, food's in the fridge, your room is the one next to mine.』

Kumagawa kept on smiling as Rin watched Archer's opponent stabbed his blood red spear through his heart before slashing his head off.

Kumagawa never stopped smiling even when his head was rolling on the ground.
