Chapter 2

That night Hiasen had a dream of a memory. He had trapped himself in a memory shared by his father when he wanted to know more about his mother, Senika. More specifically a memory that he wanted to continue as long as possible. There was his father, the en piste, the organ that allowed gods to use mana, had a will of its own. More specifically he cried, he cried some more. He was born and raised by Kasin Demislid, never knowing his father until later. He never knew his mother. When he found out that the en piste would continue to exist even after death to wait until the person who would be all alone would arrive. It was his father, the one that her mother didn't meet when she died. Her en piste carried her will as it waited and waited looking like her usual self.

All so that his father would see her one more time. He stared as he watched the scene over and over again. His mother would disappeared the moment her last will had been carried. Unknown to him another was also experiencing the same dream watching him through the connection of servant and master.

She was not expecting the waterworks. She stepped back as she turned around only to freeze.

"In my dreams no one apart from me is allowed to move."

Her feet were frozen to the ground.

"In my dreams tonight. No one may watch."

His gleaming golden eyes bore holes into her very being.

In an instant she was expelled from the dream as she awoke with a terrible gasp. Soon later Hiasen woke up too. He stared at her, his golden eyes were pierced through the dark as they stared at her. "I hope you don't intrude more. Otherwise you may become a toy for my dreams."

Avenger did not say much, she did not fear much, but the overwhelming power and mana in the dream felt crushing. He got up from his bed as his bed robes switched with his usual robe. In an instant his hand grasped the air as a blue ethereal scythe manifested as he swung at reality. In an instant his dream space was deployed into reality as it bled through the texture of the world. The scythe revealed the hiding figure as he was trapped into his dreams. The bleeding dreams disappeared after the target was captured. He stared at Avenger. "This is your mess, deal with it." The scythe found another target as Avenger found herself in the dream space once again.

A voice rang out, "Avenger, your problem now. I'll retrieve you if you win. Good luck."

Avenger later appeared in a flash of blue as she stared at Hiasen, who was sipping on coffee, in rage. "You stuck me in your dreams again!" Hiasen stared back "At least I healed you." Avenger stared at her master, "I think it's time you tell me what you really are? No mage is capable of the things you do."

Hiasen saw no need to lie to his own tenant. "I'm from a race called gods. Yes, I am a god. Not like what you think. The race is god. As for the thing, each god is born with an en piste that allows the usage of mana. Some a born with innate mana. Mine is Nine, a dream for two.

Avenger did not understand a single word that was said. "You don't get it do you dummy?" Avenger glared at him "I do!" Hiasen grinned as his ahoge danced a small victory on top of his head before forming the number one on top of his head. "Then explain." Avenger had been caught as she stuttered and her brain shrivelled in the presence of Hiasen's smirk.

Hiasen smirked before returning to his room to dream of his mother once again. He so desperately wanted the love of his mother once again. To embrace her, to feel her warmth, to fill in the missing gaps that he never got to experience before she died. Like his father, he had dreamt of his parents each and every night. Every time he wished he could realise the dream and pull them into reality. As a result he would die, then he wouldn't even be able to dream about them.

It's strange isn't it? He always should have been a Syniez, perhaps that was why he was capable of replicating a Dream Syniez like his father. Hiasen's gold eyes simply stared through the morning darkness.

Zouken Matou cursed as he realised that Assassin had died. Worst of all, that dangerous mana. A mana so potent that it could crush him with a love tap. This war was already screwed over. No, it was correct to call it chaos. If he still had any humour he would have thought the holy grail had advertised something like this:

~~~~
"Seihai-kun!"
"Are you bored of the usual holy grail war?"
"I know I am! Amassing to much energy is bad for me ya know~"
"14 servants will compete in a mass battle royale!"
"Get your preparations ready in this once in a century event!"
"Winner get's world destruction!"
"Seihai-kun going dark."
~~~~

Hiasen soon felt 13 more servants summoned as he groaned before erasing his school records. His phone soon began to ring as he picked it up.

"Hello?"

"Um... Hiasen onii-chan?"

"Illya, what do you need for you to call me during the Grail war?"

"Hehe Onii-chan knows me best."

"Yes I do, and how's your adopted little brother?"

"He's great! I love him so much! Though he was sent to Fuyuki before for school. Do you think I can stay at your place for a while considering the grail war is near your place? Mum said that you were the best option."

"So I'm your base of operations now?"

"Yep! I'll see you there."

Hiasen groaned even more as he glared at Avenger. "I'm afraid your stay duration has been expired." Hiasen opened the door as Avenger stared blankly before replying "Fine, I'll leave, don't mind me taking the grail for myself."

Hiasen nodded "Go ahead, I don't desire the grail nor do I need one to do wish granting." Avenger soon left as Hiasen stopped her "I'll break the contract between us, you may find another master do serve your purpose."

Soon the contract seemingly was erased from existence. Avenger left with a small huff as Hiasen finally slumped onto the couch. "So this is what Kasin felt like after drinking too much."

After a while he finally relaxed down as he spent his time reading and cooking or going out to eat street food. The very next day he soon found a small white ball of joy in front of his door. "Hiasen Onii-chan!" The small ball of joy slammed into him with a hug as he narrowed his eyes at the "air".

I see you've summoned a servant. "Yep Berserker is the strongest! No one can beat him, except for Onii-chan!" Berserker grunted and huffed before making hand signs signalling that Hiasen was a bean pole.

Illya soon spat a raspberry at Berserker, "Onii-chan is powerful and old. Despite not looking old he's really old." Hiasen scratched the back of his head as he reminded Illya "We gods age differently you know."

Illya pounded her tiny fists on his stomach. "That's just your race. as far as I'm concerned you're just as human except your power and age."

Berserker stared at him with his gleaming eyes. Hiasen stared right back before helping Illya with her luggage as it simply disappeared from reality. Berserker did not have the mental capacity to understand what had happened. He swiped his hand repeatedly at the spot where the luggage originally was. He could not handle what had happened as he roared silently in confusion.

Hiasen chuckled as this war was going to get ugly. Especially with the fact that there seemed to be an ominous aura going around. He would make sure that it would regret facing him.

At least that was after he got Illya sorted and all the luggage unpacked.
