21 Chapter 21: Back Home

Chapter 21: Back Home

Rin was surprised by Julius's words.

"How did you contact her?" She asked.

After all, both of them had lost their connection to their Servants the very moment they left their world.

"I'm not sure because I'm still not entirely familiar with how things work between worlds. However, the message from her came to me while I was looking for a good world to throw Professor Leff into." He explained. "I have a theory that time differences affect information transmission in a certain way, too. No need to get too technical, but you have to understand that only True Magic is capable of such a miracle as instantaneous information transmission, and the time distortion and even the world change itself may affect the speed at which we can receive a possible message."

Ritsuka and Mash seemed to have lost their way from the beginning of the conversation since neither of them had much experience as a magus, but Rin was part of the Tohsaka family, her ancestor having been Zelretch's pupil.

This meant that she had more advanced knowledge than most about the limitations of magecraft.

"To keep things simple, you're able to switch worlds instantly, but your powers don't include information you want to send or receive from other worlds, so it takes a while to get to you." She summarized what she had understood.

"Exactly, it's possible that when I was in another world I accidentally got close to our original one, and that allowed me to receive Saber's message before you receive anything from Archer." Julius put forward her hypothesis, though now was not the time to test it. "Anyway, you two..."

He looked directly at the Chaldea duo, who was standing next to Olga Marie, who had been knocked unconscious after everything that had happened.

"Do not return to Chaldea for the time being, although you should be able to by now." He seriously ordered them. "The Animusphere girl will die if she steps out of this Singularity for even a second, so I ask you to wait with her here, as she will need company."

Mash seemed unsure.

"B-But how will you manage to acquire Third True Magic? I'm afraid that..." She held her shield tightly out of the rage she felt from being unable to do anything.

Unlike her, however, Ritsuka shot up.

"Okay, no matter how long we have to wait, we'll trust you to come back with what's necessary!" He exclaimed. "You have already helped us so much, it would be unfair to doubt you at this time."

Julius sighed with a smile as Rin covered her mouth to keep from laughing.

'He really is a typical shounen protagonist.' Julius thought. "Don't worry, there's a relatively easy way to get to Root, actually."

Any common magus who heard this would have vomited blood like a cultivator elder before cursing the entire Abraham family.

Rin seemed to realize right then and there what Julius was talking about.

"I understand! We just have to go back to our world and win the Holy Grail War!" She was instantly encouraged, as she thought they had a real chance to save Olga Marie.

Julius nodded, confirming that that had been his plan. "Okay, there's no time to waste."

Without warning, he walked up to Rin and touched her shoulder.

"Wh-whaaaaaaaah!" The girl felt swept away by something that she felt was a vacuum cleaner and the next moment they were back in Fuyuki.

The difference this time was that the fire was gone entirely, and the buildings were in perfect condition.

"We really are back..." All this time they had been on the Singularity felt very long, but in reality, it had been very short.

"Let's go to your house, Tohsaka, the others will surely be there." Julius proposed, to which she accepted.

Both of them started heading towards Tohsaka residence.

"By the way, what did you mean when you said that to Caster?" Suddenly, Rin glanced sideways at Julius, who didn't change his facial expression at all.

"I don't know what you're talking about." He answered her seriously.

"No, I know you know what I'm talking about." She put on a smug face.

'Damn, I didn't expect her to be so aggressive.' Julius continued without changing his expression an inch. "Sorry, I have a bad memory."

All the way, Rin tried to get something out of the magus, but to no avail.

After all, Mysteries Pathways Beyonders needed to be shameless in order to act like the charlatans that they were.

'Okay, we're here...' Julius thought as he noticed that Rin had finally gotten tired. 'We must act fast, though the battles to come will be far more difficult than the ones we have fought thus far.'

He opened the system for a second to see the progress.

90%

Julius was shocked to see this.

"What the hell..."
