The Prideful Singer

When they arrived in front of the gigantic concert hall, the device Ritsuka was holding started acting crazy.

There was no doubt that the reason for that was here.

"Master, are you ready? We're going inside, aren't we?" Sigurd questioned his master patiently.

"Yeah, let's go and find out what's wrong with this singularity." Ritsuka replied normally and they begin to walk towards the entrance of the concert hall.

Entering the hallway was a bit troublesome because all the lights were off the moment they walked in.

"Sigurd, don't use too much power in case an enemy appears. We don't want everything to collapse on us." Ritsuka said this. Meanwhile looking at the crumbling walls of the concert hallway.

"Alright, master." Sigurd nods as they advance to the depths.

After walking for a minute or two, they saw a grand entrance.

They get inside via the gate and suddenly all the lights started flickering.

"Welcome, honored quests!" A prideful yet energetic voice shouts out to the duo of master and servant.

'Who is this guy? I thought all humans went extinct here.' Ritsuka thought, wondering how this guy survived the harsh environment.

The mysterious person who was on the stage was wearing a flashy black and white suit. White leather gloves shined under the flickering stage lights. His black mask was only covering his face.

"Master get behind me." Saying to his master, Sigurd felt a large amount of energy coming from the mysterious guy on the stage.

"This is the source of that ominous energy. But the scanner can't determine the density... The outputs are off the limits." Ritsuka said while backing up.

Next, Ritsuka questioned the man on the stage: "Just who are you..?"

"My name is not of any importance. What matters is what will I do?" The man in the suit spoke. From his voice alone, Ritsuka was able to tell that the man was smiling under his mask.

"Are you an enemy or ally? We can see that the mana is coming out of you. Are you the holder of holy grail?" Facing the questions from Ritsuka the man answered them without waiting a second.

"Heh!" The man chuckled and continued while pointing at the device that is in the hands of Ritsuka: "It looks like that thing can work pretty well, Ritsuka Fujimaru."

Hearing this sends Ritsuka alarm bells inside his head.

"How do you know my name!?!" Ritsuka's reaction was reasonable. There was no reason to explain why.

"Answer my questions! Are you a servant or a modern magus who is living here!?!" Sigurd hearing their conversations silently draw his demonic blade, Gram.

The man in the suit chuckled again and cockily began to speak: "Well, I don't know if I'm a special case but I'm both a servant and my own master."

Ritsuka and Sigurd were both startled by this statement.

"How can that be possible? That's just absurd." Ritsuka said.

"The living example is standing here right now. I congratulate you for saving humanity but killing Goetia won't stop me or other beings that are still planning humanity's doom." The main in suit continued. "Long story short, it's time to put humanity's last master to the test. Let's see how strong you are..."

Sensing the intentions behind his words, Sigurd readied himself for the upcoming battle.

Ritsuka's behavior takes a serious turn as he gave his orders to his servant.

"Sigurd, fight to your heart's contents. If you feel any danger, don't hesitate to use your Noble Phantasm."

"Yes, Master." Sigurd nods as he dashed towards the mysterious man.

"Haha, impatient are we?" The man holds out his hands in the air and a second later a spiky bright purple electronic guitar appears in his hands.

The man plays a chord on his guitar and just as Sigurd comes before him, he dodged to the side.

To normal eyes, it looked like nothing happened but moments later the area Sigurd was standing before was evaporated by a deadly red beam.

"W-What..?" Feeling worried for his servant, he waited for Sigurd to reappear.

A red light shines across the whole hall as multiple small blades were launched at the man.

The man swings his guitar and what follows after that is a wave of destructive energy coming towards Sigurd's new location.

Seeing the incoming surge of energy wave, Sigurd leaped into the air and this time punched Gram in the back of its handle head, sending it flying at great speed.

"Hahahahaha!" The man in the suit laughed and at the same time swung his guitar back at the sword that came at him. As a result, he sent it back to its wielder.

Sigurd while, still being in mid-air, gripped his sword from its handle tightly as it came back at him and dived straight up at the man.

The man in the suit jumped back and started playing new chords on his guitar over and over again. At the same time, countless beams of energy came at Sigurd from all directions.

Sigurd, who had no chance to dodge these attacks as he was caught in mid-air, braced himself for impact and immediately afterward a huge explosion occurred.

As Ritsuka hid somewhere far away, he realized how serious the situation was. He knew his servant was still alive because of the link between them and sent him a message in his mind.

'I give you permission to use your Noble Phantasm Sigurd and I will support you with my command spells as well.'

He knew that his servant had heard him, even if he did not receive a reply.

The smoke from the explosion was dissipating before long. While the master and the servant were talking, the man in the suit made his way to where Ritsuka was. Being a master himself, he knew that the easiest way to end this fight was to kill the master of the servant.

"Where are you going..?" Sigurd emerges from the smoke, his armor scratched, a light trickle of blood running down his forehead.

"Ohhh?" The man who thought he'd already rendered the servant unable to move, stared back in amazement.

Ritsuka used the first of only three command spells he has and sent a sound transmission into Sigurd's mind.

'By my command spell, I order you to activate your Noble Phantasm!'

And then Sigurd started to chant for his NP(Noble Phantasm).

"Demonic blade, complete. Show me your pride. This is the dawn of destruction... Bölverkr Gram!" At the same time as he said this, he sent dozens of small swords at him. At the end of his chant, he punched Gram at an extremely high speed.

Time seemed to slow down for the man who saw the incoming sword. As he felt Gram's beauty and power, his mind drifted to a distant memory.

----------------------------------

It was an unfair fight for 'her'. 'She' tried to defend herself and try to kill the man in front of her, but this golden-haired man would have none of it.

The man's sword shone with a golden color. Even in the afterlife, if there was still such a thing for her, she would never forget it.

It was the shine of the Sword of Promised Victory itself...

----------------------------------

Before the man in the suit realized what had happened, he felt a sharp pain in his abdomen. But this was not the end.

Sigurd appeared in front of the man and again punched Gram, which was stabbed in the man's stomach, from the very back of the scabbard. With this punch, a huge blue beam covered the entire body of the man in the suit.

The back of the concert hall was completely destroyed by this beam. A few minutes passed and there was no sign of the man in any of the debris.

"Master, I have confirmed that the enemy is annihilated." Sigurd called to Ritsuka, who was hiding in the distance.

Just as Ritsuka came out of hiding, debris suddenly flew into the air and a sound of laughter could be heard in the air.

"You really surprised me... I didn't think you had that much of a trump card."

Sigurd's surprise did not last long and he readied himself for battle again. But there was something he did not expect. The man in the suit suddenly appeared behind him and hit him on the head with his guitar.

The spikes on the end of the guitar created more scratches on Sigurd's head.

"Argh!" Thrown back, Sigurd forced himself to his feet again.

'Damn it! He's not dead yet, then...' Ritsuka shouted, ordering Sigurd:

"By my second command spell, I order you to use your NP!"

Sigurd said nothing and used his NP directly, this time without chanting.

But this time the man knew what to do.

After he had swung small swords around quickly with his guitar, he didn't dare the take on the main blade, Gram. He immediately fled out of its path, darting to the right.

Anticipating this, Ritsuka used his last command spell.

"By my third command spell, I order you to use your NP!"

Gram flew back to its owner by itself. And without waiting, Sigurd used his NP again.

He threw small swords around like he had just done. But this time he decided to do something else for Gram.

The man in the suit played four chords on his guitar and sent his own crimson ray into the energy beam that came with Gram.

Both sides were constantly supplying their attacks with mana. On Sigurd's side, he couldn't get mana support from Ritsuka since he had used his last command spell. Therefore, Sigurd sacrificed his own small mana reserve. Whatever the outcome of this encounter is, Sigurd will ultimately vanish.

Seconds later there was a massive explosion that covered the entire concert hall. Columns were falling from the top of the building. The hall was close to collapsing.

When the smoke and dust cleared, Ritsuka, who was only met with minor injuries, had a clear view of the situation.

Sigurd's body had become almost completely transparent due to a lack of mana.

"You fought well, heroic spirit of distant lands. But the time has come for you to go." The man had only small scratches on his body, but the sword wound on his stomach was oddly gone. Then a large dragon's head appeared beside him and covered Sigurd in a flame that reminded Ritsuka of the fires of the dragon witch.
