Chapter 20 The Old Place

Back at the villa, the hall was deafeningly quiet. Nina was perplexed for a while. Why is it so silent today?

Laura usually brings a group of rich women to her house to play cards, and she claims to keep in touch with the family members of the company's partners.

She returned on occasion to be summoned to serve them, or she couldn't sleep at all due to the commotion.

"Do you still know how to return?" A mocking voice entered her ears.

"I expected you to look down on our poor place after you got a wealthy supporter."

Nina whirled around, and Laura emerged from the kitchen, her face filled with hate.

"Of course, you're as cheap as your mother and can seduce people."

Nina became enraged when she heard her criticizing her mother again. Her pale face was flushed with rage. She couldn't help but respond: "Auntie, you're my mother's younger sister. What are you if she's a bitch?"

"Are you the bitch's sister, little bitch?"
