CHAPTER 6

My heart was hammering against my chest and the blood was rusing in my viens I was getting to start feeling nervous like hell .....

Suddenly the crowd started to applaud. ..

I was standing in front of a conference ?..... what is happening...

A loud bang on the door woke me from the dream. What a strange dre ..... Just a minute what was the sound

I didn't have to leave the sofa which I just realized that I was sleeping on as Emma speed walked into the house. What has gotten to her why is she so hyped up.

The door of her room was a jar I lightly knocked on the door " Not right now Zoe not in a mood good night." She said and closed the door. what mood what happened in the party that got her this way, I heated up the left over pizza and knocked on her door once more " I know you have not eaten I have kept the pizza have it before going to bed ." no reply but I know she had heard so I moved to my bedroom.

NEXT DAY ( COLLEGE )

Zoe left the house early morning before Emma had woken.

Emma was somewhat relieved that she didn't have to face Zoe but she knew well enough that today or tomorrow she have to face her. She will not be able to hide them from her for a long time.

Heaving a long sigh she brewed her cup of coffee for the day.

Even though she was surrounded by her precious and favourite jewels BOOKS

her mind was wondering off.

Troubled and angry face of Emma from last night kept flashing in her mind.

The second she has connected her eyes with Emma she had read clear sighs of troubled written in bold. She felt so helpless seeing it.

Zoe knew something was definitely wrong but she knew better than to prompt the question right at that moment.

Deciding to confront her later , for now she continued her assignment.

Putting on a fake mask of smile Emma walked to her friends.

Tyler" Good morning Em ." "Morning"

" Hey Emmi did you checked insta there is this hottie omg omg he updated his story and maan whaat aaa ahh!!" Excited Stella got smacked by her beloved boyfriend Mike " Yah who hottie , who man Stella if you dare see another man i swear to the universe i will kill him " Mike huffed an angry breath. Our playful Stel Replied with a loving smile " Yah Yah I know and you decided to present yourself just before I can have a loo..." Seeing fire oozing out of Mike She changed " I mean show Emma babe you know I am not like them ." cooed him. That girl she has him on her fingers.

Daniella came rushing to us "Hey Stel Kate did you see him he updated last night damn man he is soooo soo Um am I missing something here..." she questioned.

Everyone doubled on laughing .

"Well you see the hottie you're so excited about is the cause of the duel between our lovely couple."

Daniella tried to keep a straight face and I salute her for her try but couldn't hold it for long for the looks that Mike was giving to Stella will arguing. She burst out laughing .

Zoe seemingly confused walked to them " Umm Morning guys What's so funny ..? Why Daniella is dying of laughter? What's wrong with the couple ? Why they quarreling ?"

Kate tells the whole scenario of the hottie in the picture which seems to brighten her mood . She giggled.

As everyone chatted in the morning breeze Zoe turned to Emma who seemed to be zoning out . " What happened last.." she began to whisper but couldn't complete her sentence as bell for the home room began to ring .

Emma said hurriedly " See you at lunch break." Everyone bid they goodbye and started to get to class.

As everyone chatted around Zoe turned to Emma and asked the most awaited question in whispered tone "What happened last nigh....." Riiiiiiiiing ring rrrrrriiiiiiiing the bell rang disturbing Zoe giving Emma way to doge of the question. She ran to her class saying that she will meet them in lunch.

Slowly and steadily anger starts to builds inside Zoe it was so frustrating and her patience levels were immensely decreasing as the time was increasing.

Kate noticing the irritated look on Zoe's face approached her and asked "Is something wrong."

Zoe "Nothing it's just Em is acting weird since last night something is bothering her I am sure but what she wouldn't open up. Um Kate did something happened in e party?"

Kate "No actually Emma left the party early, I think she received a call from home."

Zoe "Call from Home." Kate "Yes, didn't she tell you". Zoe thought 'That's strange she never answer calls from home.' Zoe in thought says "No We couldn't catch up since I have to go to library early in the morning."

Kate "Oh I see don't worry to much Zoe, I am sure if something is bothering her she will come to you, you both are more like sisters than friends." She smiled softly after returning her smile they walked to their classes.

EMMA

While walking down the corridor lost in thoughts I bumped into someone "UFF" Yah" "Look where you're going man." a male voice said. "Sorry" I apologized politely without looking to him and resumed my walk. Ian hearing the familiar voice looked up and his mouth left agape confusedly he mumbled "Sorry?" he ran after her "Hey Emma since when did you started apologizing, O dear Lord our Emma grew up ." wiping fake tears Ian teased."

Irritated I shouted "What is it Ian? I am not in the mood. Buzz Off." "Ouch that hurts" "And Madam please keep it low" "Whatever." I replied rudely and walked away.

Ian wondered 'What a spooky girl?" anyway shrugged his shoulders and moved to his friends.

I was walking to class when Kate meet me on the way "Emma listen." I turned to her and nodded to continue "Mr. James was asking for you he said you have some paper work to be submitted." "Oh yes I a 'No'. "Um Ok."

Kate looks Strangely to me and asked "Hey are you alright." My phone interrupted us looking down I groaned not again mom I excused myself and toke the call "Hello" she was again going on about tat marriage thing annoyed i replied "No I am not going ; No... Why are you doing this to me , for god Sake , Ok Fine , I will be there. Ya whatever." Irritated I ended the call.

I toke out the paper from my bag "Kate I am ok can you do me a favor please handover these papers to Mr. James." She toke the papers from my hands and said "Yes sure. But where are you going?" "Something urgent came up at home. I have to be there. I will be back before the end of the day. See you. Bye." Kate "Bye". I left her there.

Driving to the restaurant 'What the hell is going on. My parents has gone nuts seriously they are asking me to get married please give me a break I am only 22 yrs.'

"OhGod help me from going mad. And they need some serious medical help."
