In an entirely wrecked house was sitting a child no older than 16, bloodied all over, crying, a child who has lost his last hope.
Well what was his hope, why was it last, why and how he lost it.
To know it we must start from the beginning,
His name is Ray Christopher, He was the sole child of Mary and Kato, his mother was an american living her life in Japan because of her love for the Japanese culture and his father was native Japanese person they fell in love when they met at a festival holded every year in the shrine got married and settled in kyoto, After 2 years of marriage Ray was born but with happiness came pain Ryu's mother because of excess blood loss during his birth, died.
This was the first when something was lost from him, his father promised his mother that he will do everything he can so that their child lives a happy life.
Ray and his father were living a good life but because of pampering and no difficulties in life Ray became a shut-in just after getting his first rejection from a girl.
His father even then was not able to force his son to do what his son doesn't wanna do he left Ray be,
believing his son will get it will understand about life after some time but Ray never did understand in fact he became an otaku reading novels and manga, watching anime passing his life without worries in his fathers care.
4 years after he became shut-in his father got some kind of weird illness and after sometime was bedridden for a year and died at that time Ray was 15 and this was the second time he lost something he understood life is cruel and started working part time in nearby cafe but he was getting lost because of sudden pressure from life which he never knew he couldn't understand what to do no one was there to ask no friends, no teachers, no relatives as his grandparents died years ago and his father was an orphan, with being an experienced shut-in he was he had no social skills even his part time job at cafe was because of his neighbors pity as he had tasted Ray's cooking he recommended Ray for the job at kitchen in his friends cafe.
After an year of working part time his manager got sick of Ray's gloomy face and kicked him out.
And that at Ray's 16th birthday he came back home feeling frustrated So to cheerup he watched some anime and started reading his favorite novel of all time "Against the Gods" but at this time he felt a tremor which got bigger each passing second he felt afraid so he started running down from his room to reach the backyard as the whole house was shaking but before he can he fell from stairs and directly fell at dining table which was made of hard glass, it broke and some of the glass pieces stabbed his back, knee and near the collar bone he felt pain for the first time so much pain it was unbearable but he tried he tried to getup but can't,
he still tried and managed to sit only to find more than 3/4 of his house is wrecked because of blood loss his vision blurred his whole life came to his mind his fathers smile care and how he never forced Ray to do anything against Ray's will, he never saw his mother but felt gratitude toward her for bringing him to life but because of his own weak will how he destroyed the life given to him he felt pain not because he was dying slowly of blood loss but for not being able to do anything to makeup for his father and mothers love and care they gave him life but he didn't even tried to do something for his father who did everything to make Ray happy even when he was sad because of loss of his wife and for his mother who gave him life even at the cost of her own.
Ray felt sad and anger at the same time because of the mistakes he did Ray felt helpless for he wanted to at least live and do something to make his dead parents proud but he couldn't, Ray was losing his life because of blood loss he wasn't able to call for help or do anything himself he felt regret for not doing anything till now and regret for he will not be able to do anything in the future as he is dying, he sat there helplessly waiting for his death to come he can only pray to be born to his parents again so he can make them feel proud feel happy he prayed so that he can be with his parents again as they were the only ones he knew who loved him, his friends after getting his rejection from his first girl and becoming a shut-in never visited him with no relatives and friends he only knew his parents love.
he sat there waiting helplessly watching his life come to and end he was losing his last hope his own life at that moment and was not able to do anything.
This was his life and how he lost his last hope.
But unknown to him fate had something for him,
As Ray's soul left his body an unknown phenomenon occurred his soul got sucked in an space crack which brought him to the world he knows has always craved for as we know he was an experienced shut-in otaku.
Ray woke up he felt a kind of liquid all over him and was bewildered as he remembered dying.
Ray questioned himself,
( why am I not dead, where am I, What is this liquid, Why can't I move? )
And as he questioned he heard mechanical voice in his mind he tried to call who ever it was just so he can know what's going on and then he heard the voice again a mechanical girly voice,

Hearing a voice, who greeted him and introduced itself as a system he became startled then felt many types of emotions at once happiness, sadness, regret, bewildered, excitement
after 15mins Calming down his emotions he asked in his mind as he couldn't speak no matter how hard he tried,
( who is it? where am I? and why I couldn't move my body? why is my sense dead except for touch? what is this liquid covering me?)
< System is the one communicating with the host host in his mothers womb in a new world as hosts soul got sucked in an space crack after losing hosts body,
Host couldn't move because of the limited space in the womb the liquid covering host is also the liquid found in females womb >
( What system? Where am I? was I not dead? )
< The system is provided by the worlds law, That is creator or GOD as host would define it, the system was created to help lost soul who get transported to another world through space crack to help the lost souls here 'you' host the system will help host so that host can live without complications as the world host lived and the world host is in now are different,
Host had died in his previous life, after dying every soul must leave the body and enter the reincarnation cycle to be born again but host soul was sucked in an space crack and got born in another world >
( that means i died and got reincarnated in another world and got a system from god or as you called the world law or creator so i can live a normal life)

< Host has been dead in hosts previous world for 3 years as host got stuck in between the two worlds for 25 months and then reincarnated as host said,
host has been in your mothers womb for 8 months host will be born after 20 days >
Ray got himself thinking after hearing what system said and understanding his current circumstances
he was feeling refreshed for some reason be it his death or being born again his mind was clear like he was never in anykind of pressure before and for thinking for sometime he got a question in his mind ,
( System how come I have my memories since I have died and reincarnated I should not have my memories )
< Yes Host, if host were reborn in the same world host died then the memories he had of his previous life would fade away but because host is in different world his memories are as is so that the host can understand and live his life without the difficulties hosts soul would face because of being in entirely different world, Host should understand that like as gravity was defined in hosts old world being different in different planets, the energy, air, time, and even space are different in different worlds because of which normal souls that don't have their memories that are the part of spiritual energy in human bodies would weaken significantly and even after getting born with healthy body they would die shortly after being born >
( wait, whats with memories being part of spiritual energy and what is spiritual energy? )
< Host spiritual energy is the soul and everything that the soul contains yes the memories are kept in the brains of humans but the brain itself is created through spiritual energy that is soul every experience, memories, thinking ability, is part of soul host can say that the ability to understand comprehend and memorizing can be far greater if the spiritual energy is strong >
( Got it, So that is to say if i have my memories the spiritual energy or my soul will be stronger and will be able to live in this world without problems )

( Say, system can a soul travel in anime worlds or such as i read in fanfic and novels in my previous life)
< Yes host the anime worlds or as you called are actually real worlds and universe the same space crack that got host here some time connect the soul of people to different worlds because of which they got dreams and ideas about these worlds and then by adding some of their own imagination they write the novel, manga and stories >
( Then which world am I in am I in some kind of anime world? )
<I cannot answer this host as only when host is born Will system be able to analyze the world host is in>
( oh great I have to wait for 20 days more , System what are your abilities how will you help me will I be able to buy things from you same as in the novels I read )
<No host system has the abilities to helps you comprehend things will alert host when he is in danger help host keeping the records that is by giving host the perfect memory through binding between the host soul and system can also help host in learning the language and such every other abilities of system will be available when host is born as system will need to analyze the world and after checking the result will systems abilities will upgrade or degrade>
So its not as exaggerated as shown in the novels and fanfics huh, thought Ray,
