As the new week came I was stupid tired. I haven't had the time to do nothing. I had been bussing my ass in the restaurant. I've went from working the cashier to damn near every damn thing. As long as I've been eating there I've never noticed how badly Charlie needed that extra helping hand. Only I knew with the week coming up I would have to put in a short notice. I needed to be on that trip with Jordan I felt me coming close to a plan as I speak. Going into Charlie's office after work I caught him just in time. "Hey Charlie can we talk?" I asked as he looked up from this big binder full of documents and records. "Sure Cain is everything okay?" He asked with worry in his voice. "So my friend invited me out of town to support him with his business. I needed to know if I could take a few days off. I promise I'll make up for those days as soon as I get back." I explained to him. "Well. You have been doing a good job around here. You've been working hard. It's going to be a tough week but I'm sure like always we'll manage. So go have fun man and be safe." He said as I smiled. "I appreciate that." I said super excited. Jordan had called me and told me all the details and said I could bring a plus one. Already knowing who I wanted to bring I stopped by Lauren's house. I only had one hour to meet up with Jordan so I had to make it quick. Expecting for Charlie to say yes I was glad of my gut feeling because I was packed and ready to slide. Knocking at Lauren's door she finally answered. "What the fuck you doing here?" She asked. Finally she did what I asked as we rode to meet up with Jordan. Expecting him to be home he wasn't so I drove over to Angelic crib instead. Almost there Lauren's mood changed. "Why are we here?" She asked as we finally made it to her house and parked. "Look relax I want you with me. Fuck any and everything else it's just me and you." I told her as she looked me in the eyes feeling secure. Shrugging she took a deep breath as we got out to greet both Jordan and Angelic. The tension was so heavy between the two ladies and that wasn't my business for now. Out of respect for us both ladies avoided conflict again for now. We all grabbed our belongings and got in one car to head to the airport. I asked as we all looked out the window. "That's my uncle Giovanni." Angelic said excitedly but that was not good news for me. As he got out the car Angelic opened the door for him to come in. He stood in the middle of the living room looking at everybody. Then he smiled at Jordan. "I would like to welcome you and congratulate you on your road to success. You've earned it and I wanted to stop by to make sure your comfortable." He said then looked at me as he finished his sentence. "I'm loving it so far you hooked me up all thanks to you." Jordan said thankful. "No problem. The rest of you enjoy your stay I hope you all have a good time." He said.
