Chapter Sixty-Five

Violet (POV)

After we were done at the restaurant we went to watch a movie. The twins got a little bit fuzzy so we decided to go home. When we got home Ralph took Cody who was sleeping to his bed.

I put the twins in their cribs and went to check on Cody and Niko

"Good night," Ralph said softly and left the two on the bed to sleep

We went to our room, got changed, and then went to bed.

"I was thinking that many you should take the boys out tomorrow so I can decorate their rooms," I said to Ralph

"I think it's a great idea," he said and kissed my head

"My brothers can help with the heavy lifting and I could do the painting," I said planning their rooms in my head

"You're already planning in your head aren't you?" He asked smiling

"Can't help it," I said

After a while, Ralph fall asleep and I just couldn't so I went to the living room and saw the tv on as I open the door further I saw Niko watch a movie

"Couldn't sleep?" I asked making him snap his head in my direction

"Not really," he mumbled

"Me neither," I said sitting next to him

"You what to talk about why you can't sleep?" I asked

"Not really," he said focusing on the movie

"Niko I know this is all strange to you but you can talk to me about anything," I said and hugged him from the side

"I don't know how to it's hard all these years I've kept all my emotions and other stuff inside never letting it show because I had to be there for Cody I had to be strong for him

But now I don't know I just feel scared and I think about everything that can happen," he said hugging me

"Nothing is going to happen okay you and your brother is safe here with us and you don't have to worry about anything anymore because we take care of our family and you are a part of that family now," I said

"Thanks, mom," he whispered making me smile

I looked down and saw he was asleep in my arms. "Good night," I said and kissed his forehead before falling asleep

We woke up when Cody jumped onto the couch screaming.

"Dad's taking us out!" He screamed

"Buddy it too early," Niko said

"No, it's already 10 so get up and go get dressed," Ralph said

"Ugg let me sleep," Niko said

"Okay you want it like that I can quickly wake you up," Ralph said threw Niko over his shoulders

"No, put me down!" Niko yelled wide awake

"What I thought you wanted to sleep," Ralph teased him

Ralph took Niko and Cody to their room to get changed as I went to my room.

After I was done getting dressed I called mama

"Hey, Violet everything okay?" She answered

"Hey mama, everything is fine I called because I wanted to ask if you would mind watching the twins again today while I decorate Niko and Cody's rooms?" I asked

"Not at all dear, I'll be there in a moment," she said

"Thanks can you bring Oscar and Emilio to since they have a day off to help me do the heavy lifting?" I asked

"Will do," she said and hung up

I went downstairs to see Niko and Cody playing Xbox. I raised my eyebrow and saw Ralph

"When did we get an Xbox?" I asked

"Oh, that I bought it yesterday with a few games," Ralph said

"Oh okay where are you guys going today?" I asked

"Rally said it was a surprise," Niko said sleepily

"And we should go now we see you tonight," Ralph said and kissed me

"Okay bye boys," I said and they both hugged me goodbye

Once they left I waited for mama and my two brothers. After they came Oscar and I went to the mall and bought some furniture for the rooms and paint

When we got back to the house he helped me paint the rooms. After the paint was dry Oscar and Emilio moved in the furniture and got everything in place as I told them where everything goes

After we moved the last thing the boys left and I grabbed a quick shower. When I was done Ralph called and said they'll be home in a few minutes.

I went downstairs and waited with the twins and mama for Ralph and the two boys. When they came in I stood up and Cody ran to hug me.

"Hey, buddy did you have fun today?" I asked him and picked him up

"Yeah dad took us to the basketball court and then we went for ice cream and then for a movie," Cody said

"Yeah it was fun we also went to the beach for a little while," Niko said

"Sounds like fun," I said while I smiled and then said, "I got a surprise for you guys,"

"Really what?" Cody asked excitedly

"Come on," I said and went upstairs.

We stopped at the door that said Niko on it and I said, "Open it,"

Once he opened it he went in and froze.

"This is amazing I love it," he said after a minute and then hugged me and Ralph

"Thank you guys so much,"

"Well you guys are going to stay here so I thought you should get your own rooms," I said

We walked across his room to Cody's room and went in. Cody jumped out of my arms and ran to his bed

"I love it!" He yelled as he ran to his bed

"I'm glad bud but inside voice okay," Ralph said smiling

"Okay come on let's go get some food with grandma and then you guys can enjoy your own space later okay," I said

Cody ran and jumped I catch him and placed him on my hip before heading down

"So did you guys love your surprises?" Mama asked

"Yeah," Niko said and went to the twins

I set Cody on the ground and he ran to Niko and they both started playing with the twins

"Their good with the boys," Mama said as we watch them play

"They're good brothers," I said smiling

"I'm going see you guys tomorrow for the picnic," she said and hugged us goodbye

"Guys come say goodbye to your grandma," Ralph said

"Bye grandma," Cody said as he hugged her

Niko hugged her mumbled, "Bye grandma,"

"Bye my lovelies," she said and kissed their head before leaving

"I'm going to start with dinner," Ralph said and went to the kitchen as I went to sit down.

"Mom can I go to my room I'll be down for dinner," Niko said

"Sure hun you don't have to ask this is your house now," I said

Once he left I went to sit in front of the twins and next to Cody.

After a while, we heard a guitar playing so I said to Cody, "Stay here I'll be right back,"

I stood up and went upstairs and went to Niko's room. I saw him playing the guitar with his eyes closed.

"Your good," I said making him open his eyes and look at me

"Yeah my mom used to play for me she thought me a lot," Niko said looking down at the guitar

"You said she send you guys away when she got sick what really happened?" I asked sitting down next to him

"After my ninth birthday, she started hanging out with the wrong people. One night our neighbor called the cops about something

The cops came and my mother was arrested for cooking meth in our house so Social serves took us away and placed us in foster care we went from, one family, to the next

Until last year when they actually found our father and convinced him to take us in and now where here with you guys," he said

"I'm sorry you guys had to go through that," I said

"Don't be it made us stronger and now that we're here we have a real family who cares for us a mom and dad who are amazing," he said smiling at me

"I'm glad you feel that way. I know this is a little soon and we're only starting to get to know each other but I love you, son," I said and hugged him

"I love you too, mom," he said hugging me back

"Damn it think there's something in my eyes," I said wiping away my tears making him laugh

"Come on I have to show you something, it's my favorite place in this house," I said and took his hand

I lead him down the back stairs and went to the music room as we entered his eyes went wide.

"We still need to give you guys a tour of the house but now I know you like playing and your really good at it so I wanted to show you this you can come down here any time you want we can even play together if you'd like," I said

"This is amazing, mom, thank you," he said and hugged me

"We should probably go back I think your father will be looking for us," I said ruffled his hair and we started heading back to the kitchen

"Oh you guys are here, dinner's ready," Ralph said as we entered the kitchen

"Thanks, Dad," Niko said

"Why don't you go get your brothers just be careful with the twins okay," I said

"Sure mom," he said and went to the living room

"Mom and Dad," Ralph said smiling, "I need to get used to that,"

"Yeah you should," I said and went to the living room

I picked up Isaac as Niko picked up Gio we went to the dining room and Cody followed us.

We laid the twins back on their playmats and went to sit down.

"I hope you guys love spaghetti," Ralph said as he entered the room with one of our maids carrying the plates

"Thank you," I said to Kathleen

"Anything else I can get you, miss?" she asked

"No thank you, Kathleen," I said

Once she left we started eating. After we were done we went into the living room. The twins got fuzzy so I went to go get their milk. I gave one bottle to Ralph and we picked up the twins

"Can I feed one?" Niko asked

"Sure son here," Ralph said and gave Isaac to him with the bottle

"So all you have to do is support his head and let him in a semi-upright position and the put the bottle near his mouth," Ralph said and helped him

After we got them fed they started yawning and then crying.

"We better get them to bed that means bedtime for all of us," I said and stood up from the couch

Niko and I went to put the twins in their cribs while Ralph took a half-asleep Cody to bed

I rocked Gio to sleep and Niko sang Isaac to sleep. Once they were in their cribs Niko and I went out of the room.

"Goodnight mom," Niko said and hugged me

"Goodnight son," I said and kissed his head as we hugged

I went into Cody's room and saw Ralph trying to get Cody into bed.

"Cody come here," I said and he ran to me

I picked him up and got his pj's out. After getting him dressed I put him down on the bed and started singing a lullaby 'Over the rainbow'

I slowly drift off with the song when I saw him asleep. I kissed his head and pull the covers over him before leaving the room.

After Ralph said goodnight to Niko we went to our room and went to sleep
