CHAPTER 41: ARIANNE

A few hours back.

A ten-year-old girl rode on a flying creature as they streaked across the sky toward Tibu's castle. The young girl had snow-white hair tied in a bun with a few strands falling beside her face.

Her skin was pale white yet it still glistened with a healthy glow. Her Iris were ruby red and her pupils, the tiniest slits.

Her face was icy cold, and she gave off an infallible aura that wouldn't allow anyone to come near her, yet they would still try to, as her beauty was nothing short but heaven toppling.

The creature she rode resembled a massive bat with a wingspan of about ten meters, however, unlike a regular bat, it was beautiful. Its body was glittering black with various strands of white across its ears, the edges of its wings, and part of its fur.

A vast castle appeared before the two, however, this was relative as to the eyes of this small girl, the castle was simply minuscule.

In just a few breaths, they arrived above the castle. They continued to hover above the castle with no intention of getting down. She closed her eyes and released her divine sense, covering the entire castle below her.

Tibu and his wife Nikki, who were having a hot session, with Nikki atop Tibu, and both of Tibu's hands groping her curvaceous breast and butt, immediately jolted up when they felt the invading divine sense.

Their bloodline reacted to this divine sense, and they could immediately tell how great this guest was. They were just about to go out and pay their respect when a soothing yet cold voice drifted into their ears.

"Ignore me!"

They immediately obeyed.

This was a command that could not be disobeyed. A bloodline suppression that could never be broken.

The small girl found what she came searching for and focused her entire attention on the sleeping Arlo.

Looking at his shoulder-length golden hair, and his well-sculpted face, the girl's heart couldn't help but skip a beat.

'He is even more handsome in person.'

She waited for a few hours until Arlo woke up.

She saw him walk around the castle until he stumbled upon an open room.

When she saw Arlo slapped across the room, she couldn't help but be a bit annoyed.

When she saw Arlo fight back, she admired his courage.

However, what took her breath was when Arlo sent the vampire boy flying.

'What great control!'

All that was happening was not only witnessed by the girl but also by Tibu and Nikki.

"This boy is strange!" Nikki exclaimed, however, her face flashed with rage though it disappeared just as quickly as it appeared.

"Humph, this happened all because he caught Bon by surprise, and with Judi there, he is in for a lot of pain."

Tibu merely kept silent, however, if one looked deeply into his eyes, one would notice the vicious glint flickering deep within.

Meanwhile, back in the room.

Tibu's daughter Judi merely sat on the bed as she continued to gaze at Arlo with seemingly no intention of attacking.

Bon sauntered from the hole, with no visible injury on him.

His eyes glowed scarlet red, two long fangs protruding out of his mouth, and a dark aura engulfed his entire body.

His current appearance sent a chill down Arlo's back.

"I have always assumed that humans were weak creatures, and were mere food with the sole purpose of satiating our hunger," Bon spoke as he walked.

"But you have colored me surprised. No wonder our liege treats you differently. I will now take you a bit more serio..."

"There is no need for us to fight. Just let him go...please." Arlo cut his words short, as he implored him. As much as he wanted to offer himself to take Joe's place, he just couldn't bring himself to, as the light that glistened off Bon's fangs made his skin crawl.

Besides, he just entered the northern continent and even found a person he could rely on, so he didn't want to stir up any trouble.

Bon was stunned, and so was every other person who was witnessing this scene.

'Hello! You looked like you wanted to eat him alive.'

'How come you are now begging?'

'Where is your rage? Where is your anger? Where did they go?'

How could they have known that Arlo just felt uncomfortable fighting him? This was the first time he saw such a transformation.

The little bit of respect Bon just developed for Arlo vanished like a candle fire snuffed out by the wind.

The vampires respected the strong. Aside from the royal vampires, the highest title a vampire could ever achieve was count.

This meant that below the Royals, there was no second or third, which showed the massive gap that existed between Royals and noble vampires.

Noble vampires were further divided into low-class, mid-class, and high-class. This grouping depended on nothing more than strength and bloodline. However, the higher the bloodline, the greater the wealth and heritage of the families.

Vampires were apex predators, so they respected strength above any other thing.

Tibu's family was a new family that rose into the ranks a few years ago to become a low-class vampire family. This was all self-reliant on Tibu's strength.

However, in the grand scheme of things, their family was nothing as they were one of the countless low-class families that served just under Count Aaron, a friend of Count Vlad who served the Royals.

Therefore, when Bon saw Arlo's strength, he felt some awe for the other party.

But now?

"A dog will always be a dog." Bon's voice was icy cold, and the look of contempt on his face increased.
