A little misunderstanding.

The songs they recorded together in the studio were so cool and vibeful to listen to, infact, they were so pleasant to the ears. Though all the songs they recorded together were just freestyle singles, they sounded like original songs that took time to prepare and record. One thing was for sure, Dylan was really a talented and well-experienced music producer, Mark confirmed that through their working together in the studio. No wonder he produced those massive hits for Clark and Kendrick.

But as for singing, Dylan was completely bad in it, infact, it wouldn't be an understatement to say that he was terrible at singing. He was so good at producing music but so bad at singing....what a discrepancy. His vocals and style of singing almost made Mark laugh, they were so terrible that Mark had to comment on it.

"Damn bro, you ain't good at singing at all, but so good at producing music".

Dylan playfully pouted when Mark said that, "I know, am ain't good at singing, but at least, I'm good at producing vibeful music".

"That's true, the little time I've spent with you in the studio, I can confidently say to anyone that you are such a talented and proficient music producer". Mark stated with a facial expression that indicates that he meant was he was saying.

"Why do you say such?". Dylan asked like he didn't know what Mark was talking about.

Mark was confused by Dylan's question, "Why are acting like you don't know what I am talking about. The beats you created in which we used in recording those freestyle songs were awesome. They flowed solely well with my lyrics though they were just freestyle singing. The beats were cool and vibeful to listen to, they were pleasant to the ears. All these signify that you're a talented and proficient music producer.....that's what am talking about".

"Ohhh! I get now". Dylan uttered forming realization, Mark knew that he was just pretending not to understand all this while, so he let it pass by, he knew he was just joking around.

It was already mid-afternoon getting very close to evening. Mark and Dylan had spent enough time with each other, they had gotten to know more about each other. They conversed a lot at the 'Lula cafe' restaurant while drinking soft drinks before they came to Dylan's recording studio. Mark got to see the glamorous and stunning appearance of Dylan's recording studio, not to talk of the lovely chill-out parlor in it...so unique and cool.

Mark explained all the past events that occurred between him, John, and Henry to Dylan, both the exciting and the hurtful ones. And because of that, Dylan guaranteed to help Mark achieve his topmost heart desire....fame. Yeah, they had known a lot about each other, they had spent enough time with each other. Now it was about time for Mark to head over to Ben's house to apologize for not keeping to his promise.

"It's about time for me to go to Ben's house to get on his good side and apologize for not keeping to my words". Mark said.

"Sure, we've almost spent the whole day recording and conversing about different stuff. It's about time you head over to his house to explain yourself and apologize, you guys are close buddies, he is gonna let go of it easily and forgive you. Once he does that, you can then tell him about me, explain everything about me to him. Tell him I want to meet with him so we could discuss you attaining fame. Once he consents to it, call me". Dylan declared.

They exchanged numbers then Mark stood up to leave the studio, and Dylan was like,

"Where are you going?".

Mark was perplexed by that question, why does Dylan always seem to ask confusing questions? what does he mean by 'Where was he going?'

"You should know that I'm heading over to Ben's house right now, we just talked about it". Mark retorted with a confused type of expression.

"Yeah, I know that's where you are heading to right now, I mean, where are you going to without me? I'm gonna drive you in my car".

"No need for that, I can just board a cab outside that will drive me straight to his house, you don't need to bother about that". Mark stated rejecting Dylan's offer, boarding taxis had become his major way of transporting himself from one place to the other.

"You wanna board a taxi when I have a car, an available one at that, it won't work. I'm gonna drive you to the front of his house in my car, then I'll leave you to do the rest".

At this moment, Mark couldn't oppose the offer anymore. Deep inside of him, he wished for Dylan to drive him in his car rather than wasting money for a cab.....he was just pretending all this while.

"I've got no choice, let's go then".

With that, both of them departed from the studio straight to Dylan's car parked outside the compound. Dylan didn't waste time to put the car into motion straight into the main road. While Inside the car, it dawn on Mark that Ben could still be at the studio. Even if he wasn't working on Harry's album anymore, he could still be present at the studio generating some cool beats, so he said to Dylan who was utterly focused on the steering wheel.

"Ben could still be at the studio, perhaps creating some cool beats. Let's change direction, am gonna direct you there, this is a chance to see what Ben's studio looks like".

"Why do you feel he would be at the studio instead of his home by this time?". Dylan inquired of Mark still focused on the steering wheel.

"He loves creating beat during his free time, yeah, all music producer loves doing that. And Ben loves doing that also, I'm no different, I love producing beats at my leisure even though am not that good at beat making".

That was enough of an answer for Dylan, he questioned Mark no more as he allowed Mark direct him to Ben's studio. They arrived at the studio within some minutes, and Mark's assumption was totally wrong, Ben wasn't in the studio anymore.

"Guess I was wrong about Ben being in the studio, sorry for the waste of time. But at least, you've gotten to see the studio where I love recording my songs". Mark said rubbing his head in guilt.

Dylan didn't say much, all he said was, "All you did was tell me your presumption, so it isn't your fault. Direct me to his home while I drive.....less I forget, his studio looks cool".

With that statement from Dylan, both of them hopped into the car once again as Dylan sped off. Mark made sure to direct Dylan efficiently as he drove so they wouldn't lose their way. Before they knew it, they had arrived at the front gate of Ben's edifice. Dylan patted Mark on his left shoulder and said,

"It's time to go do your job, go in there and settle things with your favorite producer. Don't forget to tell him about me".

"Sure, I won't forget". Mark uttered as he came out of Dylan's car.

"Do your best". Dylan said giving Mark a thumbs up before driving off.

Mark sighed before stepping his feet into Ben's compound, the gate wasn't locked, so it was free entry for him. He sighted Ben's car parked at the side of the compound and a smile formed on his face. Getting very close to the door of Ben's edifice, he thought to himself.

"I just hope Ben isn't angry at me, no he wouldn't be that angry at me, we are close buddies".

As he stepped feet into Ben's parlor, he sighted him sitting on one of the couches in the parlor while watching television. He was dressed in casual wear and his face was so emotionless that Mark couldn't fathom if he was angry or he wasn't. But Mark still walked up to him with a smile on his face and said,

"Xup bro".

Ben kept mute as he continued glancing at the program he was watching on Tv.....as if there wasn't a single soul beside him that spoke. Mark was dumbfounded by what happened just now, he knew Ben heard him but was pretending not to....Something was definitely wrong.

"Xup bro". Mark uttered once again, but Ben still kept silent to his greeting.

"Damn bro, why are you keeping mute to my greetings". Mark let out audibly.

"Why shouldn't I keep silent to your greetings when you couldn't keep to your promise, you promised and failed. I called you on phone and you refused to pick it up, and you want me to respond to your greetings.....that's bullshit men". Ben lashed out. At this moment, Mark could already see the anger radiating in Ben's eyes. Damn! he was really furious, he had never been this angry at Mark before...it wouldn't be that easy to unravel things with him.
