23 Birthday

At home, Lilith go up to her roof for star gazing like usual, it was a full moon night the stars are twinkling sounds of crickets can be heard it was a little cloudy but she could see the moon clearly. It was like a scene from a dream, she was thinking laying on the ground, hands on the back of her head staring at the sky with clear eyes, " Hmm.... How much will the cake and gifts gonna cost, I have to start saving up some pocket money if I want to throw a party for Adrian....I wish Kyle was here he would definitely help me out to plan this and take care of Adrian, he must be pretty hurt from losing his father.... I wish he would be happy again and act like the happy go lucky guy like before....wish I could do something for him " sigh Lilith thinking . She has never stopped thinking about him a second these days and always praying that to make him happy again.

Next morning at school, Carol saw Lilith entering the school gate and went up to her "hey good morning.... I was wondering how you want to plan the party" said Carol "oh good morning Carol... I have thought about the money that will be spending" said Lilith " hmm... where do you want to held is party? " asked Carol " I don't know.... maybe at the coffee shop near my house I can't go far or else my dad will be against it " said Lilith " hmm....we have to ask the owner for permission to host the party..... do you know any of his friends that you can invite for his birthday " " ...well I don't know any of his friends " " how are we going to host a party if there are no friends around.... we must invite his friends for the party " " well I only knew Julie from his class though..... we could ask her about his close friends in class " " well then we will do that and invite them and what time are we going to host the party " asked Carol " hmm... how about 3:00pm... school is going to end at 1:00pm that day " said Lilith.

Christina and Summer saw Lilith and Carol talking as they walked to their classroom and went behind them.

" Hey what are you guys planning chatting so seriously " said Christina hugging Lilith from the back " don't forget me guys "said Summer punching lightly on Lilith's shoulder.

" Hmm.... so you are planning for a birthday party, me and Christina will help out with inviting his friends and decorations And coffee shop owner is my uncle so he won't charge us for the place " said Summer. They went on talking about the plans.

At lunch break, Lilith and her friends went to search for Julie to ask about Adrian's close friends " there you are we have been searching for you" " what's up how can I help you guys out?, you look out of breath " said Julie " well we want to ask about Adrian's close friends to invite for his surprise birthday party " " Ohh... I know a few of his friends I will tell their names if you like " "thanks Julie you save us a lot of trouble and you are invited to come to the party" said Lilith "sure I will be happy to come" said Julie with a smile.

Lilith saved up all her pocket money and broke her piggy bank to plan for the surprise birthday party for Adrian. " I am sorry little piggy I will fill you up with all of coins next time I promise " said Lilith as she patted her piggy bank almost in tears she was planning to buy manga and items to draw. She had been making plans with Carol and her friends all week.

One day before the birthday, " Have you invited all his friends Summer " asked Lilith " yep everything's ready only the birthday boy is missing.... you have worked hard Lilith relax a little" said Summer patting on Lilith's shoulder.

On the big day, " guys I will bring Adrian get everything ready and be careful with the cake when you bring it out " said Lilith as she hurriedly ran off to search for Adrian. She went to his house and rang the doorbell and the door opened "Lilith why are you here, I am busy today please leave me alone" said Adrian with a gloomy face. She thought that he was upset because no one remembered his birthday. " Adrian let me show you something it will make you happy I promise " said Lilith grinning " Lilith I really don't want to be bothered today please leave " " Please come with me I assure you it will be fun " said Lilith as she tried to pull his hands. All of a sudden Adrian slapped off her hand and said with an angry tone " I said leave " .

It was the first time she saw him so angry but she tried to persuade him " stop joking around acting like that to scare me come on let's go " said Lilith and pulled his hands ". He forcefully pulled back his hands from her grip and she falls down on the ground " Lilith do you even understand what I said.... how I am feeling right now? do you even consider my feelings for a second, you always have a smile on your face free from sadness and worry.... do you even know how it feels like to lose someone you love? " said Adrian angrily.

She was beginning to tear up and slowly stood up " I don't know what it feels like to lose a loved one.... but I know that you are hurting inside.... I just wanted you to cheer you up and surprise you with a birthday party " said Lilith as she sobbed. He wanted to say something but was cut off by her " I am sorry Adrian " said Lilith as she ran away crying.
