Falling In Love With Jeremy

Jason Baker and Jeremy Lynch were best friends and that's all they will ever be. Jason's POV

"Jeremy!"

We both turned around to find Allison jugging up to us. Allison was my neighbor who had the biggest crush on Jeremy—my married neighbor who had the biggest crush on Jeremy.

"What does she want now?" I muttered, shifting from toe to toe. He never felt comfortable around Allison, and you can't blame him. She never made him feel comfortable around her. Right from the time Jason moved in, Allison would go out of her way to disturb him, and he only never fought back because of her husband.

"Don't be rude," Jeremy said, giving me a gentle jab on my ribs. Then he proceeded to put on his signature 'nice' face. The face he gave to everyone woman who showed interest in him. It was the fake smile, who seemed real to everyone, except those who knew his real smile. "Hey Allison, nice to see you...again." Jason rolled his eyes when he heard that, making a face full of disgust.

She smiled, her eyes moving from Jason to Jeremy. "Yeah, you're looking very good." She told him, moving closer to him and ignoring Jason's existence. "Doing lots of exercise I see."

Jeremy chuckled. "I wish, I've been too busy for that. I'm ashamed to say I haven't stepped a foot in the gym for two weeks now."

"Really? Maybe you can come with me-"

"Hey Allison," Jason who has had enough finally spoke up. "Uh... How is Ken?" She raised an eyebrow when she heard that. "Your husband? Remember him?"

"He's fine."

"Yeah, you should go be with him. I don't think your husband will appreciate seeing rubbing other men abs? It's not something husbands likes seeing their wife doing."

"Uh, I don't understand your problem with me, Jason."

"Oh really? From all of our encounters, you don't see any reason why I would be mad at you?"

"Why don't you mind your business?"

Looking at her reminded Jason of the reasons he didn't like his neighbor. He sucked because he knew she would have enjoyed his friendship because he was an amazing person, but she was so bitter and still had the most innocent looking face. Jason would always wonder how she had ended up with someone like her husband, who was kind and very friendly. During the street canival last year, he had won a ticket for an expensive cruise just for being the most helpful neighbor, yet his wife was Jezebel.

"Why don't you stick to your husband?" He retorted. "You know, the man you married? On the alter and made promises to remain with him?"

She was surprised to hear that from Jason, he almost never spoke back to her. "I was-"

"Allison?" A gruff voice called. The trio turned around to see a man, it was Allison's husband. "Oh, hey Jason. How're you doing?" Not waiting for Jason to reply he continued, "I hope there isn't a problem." He eyes hardened when he saw Jeremy and how close his wife was to Hime.

"Not at all. Allison was just returning back." Allison nodded, a bright smile on her face, which was actually saying something else.

"I guess I'll see you later. If you want to sign up in my gym, you can always get my number from Jason and call me whenever." She waved to him one more time before she hurried back to meet her husband. When she arrived, Jason couldn't hear what Matt said to her, but he looked pissed. Allison looked back at them before she hurried inside. Jason hoped they wouldn't have one of their fight. His bedroom window was close to their living room and he could pick up every word that pours from their lips whenever they do.

"Why do you even entertain her?" Jason asked his friend once they were gone.

"What do you mean?"

"What do I mean? Come on, Jeremy, you are not stupid, neither are you slow. Do you have a thing for her?"

Jeremy scoffed. "I only have a thing for you." Jason froze. Jeremy threw his head back laughing at the look on Jason's face. "Oh, it's so fun teasing you."

"Right."

"Also, you don't have to worry about Allison. She's just being friendly." He shrugged. "Come on, you should go in, it looks like it's about to rain." This wasn't true, as the dark sky was clear and free of clouds. Jeremy was just tired of standing outside and his legs were hurting.

Jason rolled his eyes. "No, she isn't and we both know that. Anyways, goodnight." He gave Jeremy a small pat on the back and began to hurry to his apartment.

Jeremy bit his lips, watching the small man. He sighed, and went after him. "I'm not ready to go home."

"Weren't you the one who just talked about getting home for a good night rest?"

"What, you don't want me to spend time with you?"

Jason blinked twice, getting a little flustered. Surely, there was no reason why his best friend couldn't spend time with him. "I mean, if you insist, I guess I can't stop you now, can I?" He reached into his pockets to grab his keys, while Jeremy waited patiently behind.

The apartment was dark when they walked in. Jeremy who is well familiar with Jason's little home, reached out to turn on the switch. "Should we order pizza? We could watch some movie?"

Jason eyed him, walking to the living room. "Jeremy we had lunch together before returning home."

"Oh yeah..."

Jason chuckled, walking back to him, he placed the back of his palm against Jeremy's neck. "You sure you aren't sick? You've been acting funny lately."

"I'm fine."

"If you're really hungry, I could grab some snacks and we can watch some old Spiderman movies together?" Jason suggested. To Jeremy there was no Spiderman movie better than the first, by actor Tobey Maguire who Jeremy had the biggest crush on.

"I guess I can settle for that."

Jason scoffed, walking to his kitchen while Jeremy went to settle in the living room. "I wasn't providing an option."

"I hate her so much!" Jeremy commented, reaching to grab some of Jason's popcorn. "I mean, why can't she just decide. These are two sexy men, one sexier than the other and of course I'm talking about Tobey of course."

"Jeremy you know how old these people are right? Tobey doesn't even look like this anymore."

"Still sexy." He glanced at Jason and winked. Jason rolled his eyes and slapped Jeremy's hand away from his popcorn. "Stingy. You want to watch another movie?"

"I thought you loved this one." Jason said cuddling deeper into Jeremy's hold. They were seated on the three seater chair facing the television, there was an empty bowl of popcorn at Jeremy's side and another half-filled one with Jason which Jeremy was currently taking from. "Anyways, I'm going to go bath. You watch whatever you want."

"Come on, stay with Jeremy a little while longer. I want to cuddle with you." Jason didn't listen to him and still tried to free himself, but Jeremy held even tighter, bringing Jason even closer to him. It almost like he wanted Jason to enter his body, Jason could feel everything—everything.

"Uh..." He couldn't say anything. This was one of the reasons he was avoiding close contact with Jeremy. The dream last night hadn't meant to him when he woke up, even though it had brought a boner. It didn't mean anything because Jeremy was his best-friend, surely he could never have unpure thought about him. But then, moments like this was making him feel all sorts of weird. Everywhere. "I really should go."

Jeremy chuckled, while a panicked Jason tried to escape. He leaned down to whisper in his friend's ears. "Come on, just a little while-"

"I have to poo!" Jason succeeded in pushing him aside, and tearing off.
