Confused, Jumbled Feelings

Hunter was finishing his assignment due for tomorrow when his phone vibrated against the table. He grabbed it without wasting a second more because he had been waiting for that reply. A smile sneaked across his lips when he saw the name, Goddess. 

Goddess:

Why were you not in the assembly? 

Hunter frowned at the question though he was expecting it. It wasn't hard to notice his absence on the dais, so it shouldn't surprise him that Hera caught on to it. He wanted to tell her the real reason but then thought of the cold war between them. One of his eyebrows arched up, and he smirked. He could hear her authoritative tone in that message. 

'Hm, let's see how it is going.'
