Attack them midnight

In an underground building

Diana was pacing to and fro, hitting every obstacle at her way, the sitting room was a mess thanks to her attitude, she crashed the flower vase on the table, the wine and now the marble stools, she was really upset with herself.

Something needed to be done about Peres, he had a lot of ego, he is too powerful, so did Diana think.

“Ana, You can not fix the problem like this, we have to come up with a plan” the man who Lina thought was familiar spoke.

“What should be done Kai? Do you have any plan?” She fired at him “calm down love, calm down, it is a matter of time” Kai approached her and held her at her back, caressing it.

“Kai, I am frustrated, that useless immortal is getting on my nerves” she spoke in a baby voice as tears stung in her eyes, forcing their way out.

“Listen Ana, with me on your side everything would be perfect, do not worry about Peres, when the time is right, we would both conquer him and gain what we want” Kai’s hand was caressing her champagne blonde hair when he spoke

“What do we do Kai?” She asked “we attack them midnight, they would never expect it, then we take Gina, with Gina under our custody, we can make Peres do whatever we want” Kai stated and an evil smirk graced his face.

“Alright! That is a nice plan” Diana’s face lit up “make sure the drones are ready to attack Samson” she ordered the other associate.

Meanwhile

Lina was thrown into her room aka Talia’s room, they untied her mouth, legs and hands which were tied due to her aggressive attitude.

“You sons of a bitch” she roared at them as they finally untied her, they left her room but not without locking her in

“Pearl!” She gritted her teeth in frustration, she was sure for hell that her and Pearl would never get along. She sat on the bed and stood up again, luckily for her, the door that leads the garden was open, so she eased herself their.

Six hours later

Peres summoned everyone to the sitting room, he began “no one goes to bed this night? We need to be at alert” Peres said “why?” Gina asked. Damn! He hated it when people questioned him, he felt liked they did not deserve to know and they should just obey him without complaining.

“Because the drones can attack at anytime, even now” that was the only logical reason he came up with “Peres! Is there going to be an attack tonight?” Adam stressed and he (Peres) flew dagger eyes to Adam, Adam knew how much he hated being questioned and here he was questioning him

“Do not give me a dead stare, we deserve to know, right?” Adam continued and Peres only hissed.

Dusk was approaching as the warriors were at patrol, they secured the building and kept on moving to and fro to find any clue of drones. Lina also helped with keeping the house safe.

She went to her room to get a black leather jacket because the night was getting cold, when she arrived, she picked up her jacket and was about to leave when Talia called her attention

“Lina! What are these?” Lina strode over to her and her gaze landed on what she was talking about. They were outside the window, matching in a great number, “drones!” Lina exclaimed then closed the windows

“Listen Talia, whatever happens, never. Ever. Come. Outside, stay here and stay safe, okay? Please Talia, do not disobey me” Lina pleaded and got a nod of head from Talia.

She moved to shut the door that lead to the garden, then placed Talia on her bed and covered her up with the blanket, then pecked her forehead “everything would be alright” Lina reassured her before she left but she forgot to lock the entrance door to her room.

Lina ram outside, and heard Lucian screaming “they are here!!” Lina did not have much time to waste as she drew her swords from her swords pocket and went into the battle ground.

She fought without caring, not minding how she killed them, previously she fought carefully, she did not have the killer instinct but now, she was an expert. She was also surprised to see Karen fighting, she was also good with her sword.

The more they killed, the more their numbers increased, it felt like it was never ending, Lina was torn in between because she fought and as well cast healing spells on the demon warriors who sustained injuries.

“Stop!” Roared a female voice and the drones automatically stopped simultaneously. Her gaze landed on Peres who gave out a mocking laugh

“Seriously Diana, why don’t you come, let us have this fight one on one” Peres suggested and that made Diana’s blood boil. She looked at Kai and then approached Peres

“I would have loved to fight with you but I have plans so it would be for another day, attack!” She screamed and again those drones came after them.

“Here we go” Lina mumbled, Diana let out a sarcastic laugh before returning to her position and leaning on Kai for support.

Lina could say that she caught glimpse of Kai, each time she looked at him, his gaze was always on her, that alone sent shivers down her spine, why would she be feeling like this towards her enemy?

Talia tiptoed outside and saw the battle, she never expected this, she could not run because it seemed like her legs were glued to the floor.

“Kai, is that Natalia?” Diana asked as she narrowed her gaze to the little girl “it is her, get her for me” she ordered and with that instruction Kai left to get the little girl.

Lina’s gaze finally rested on Talia and then Kai who was approaching her, she swiftly left the drone she was fighting and went after Talia. She was about to grab Talia when Kai stopped her with his sword at her neck

She swallowed deep before raising her eyes to view Kai, “hand the girl over to me and I would let you go” his deep voice sounded really familiar

“Alright” Lina accepted and raised her hands, Kai smirked at her wisdom, and was about to take the little girl who was rooted to the ground.

As if Talia broke the spell she was under (standing and looking at the fight) she kicked Kai in his groin and then ran as fast as she could.

Lina then used the opportunity to fight off Kai, his body movements were swift and familiar

“Do I know you?” Lina was forced to ask but the man did not even flinch or reply her question as he kept on fighting her off

“This would have been very easy for you by handing over the girl to me” he said and Lina could only give him a wicked smile.

Diana could see that things were not going in her favor anymore, she then spoke in a foreign language and just like that all the drones retracted their steps and vanished into thin air

‘What was that?’ Lina asked mentally.
