Initially, I thought I would be locked up in a basement. However, I did not expect that when I opened my eyes, there were strands of red ribbons wrapped around a bouquet. It looked as if they were the decorations used in a wedding room.

It was dark in the room. I used all my strength to sit up and looked around subconsciously. Then, I found that Lucas was sitting on a couch not far away. He was holding a phone in his hand. After that, he let the cold light of the phone shine in his eyes, which were freezing.

"Maddie."

I instinctively felt fear and subconsciously wanted to dodge him.

Lucas took the phone and quickly walked to the bedside. He grabbed my hand and bent down to lean close to me. Then, he leaned against my body and looked at the phone screen with me. After that, he reached out to hold me in his arms and caressed my chin with his slender fingers.

"Maddie."
