Chapter 39: Girlfriend

The lady's face turned as dark as the under of a pot while gritting her teeth. "I'm sorry Mr. Lyon. I didn't know she was your partner. She was the one who spilt her drink on me" the lady said trying to turn the tables. 

"Well I'm sorry for that. Ah!" Mr. Lyon apologized and exclaimed as though he suddenly remembered something

"Where are my manners? Ella, this is Miss Iden. Miss Iden I would like to introduce you to my girlfriend, Isabella" He introduce with a sardonic smile while tucking a stray strand of her hair.

"Permit me Miss Iden, I'll like to take my leave now. My girlfriend is tired and I don't want her to fall ill" Mr. Lyon said and turned around. They had walked a few steps when Lianne suddenly approached them.

"Hey Justin. Ella are you okay?" Lianne asked worriedly

"I'm fine. But you know seeing how you're fussing over me, I think I'll get into more trouble" Ella said.

After talking for a while, they left leaving Lianne alone. Lianne suddenly felt a cold glare on her and turned around to see the lady from earlier glaring daggers at her. Lianne didn't have time for people like her so she merely eyed her looking her up and down before rolling her eyes at her and walking away leaving the angry lady.

Justin took Ella to a restaurant to grab an early dinner.

"Why didn't you call me?" He asked her again since she hadn't responded.

"You were talking to some men and I didn't want to disturb you" she replied.

"Justin, wouldn't the girl you like become angry?" Ella asked in a small voice when he didn't answer her.

"Huh?" Justin asked confused before he finally remembered.

Justin met Ella through his brother. She was his brother's friend's sister. He had liked her at the very beginning but he didn't tell her. She had played cupid between him and Aurora but he kept refusing. He finally told her that he liked someone and she stopped.

It was during that period that Ella finally realized that she had feelings for him but it was already too late. He liked someone else.

"I didn't want to do this now or this way at all but since it has come to this, I have to do this." Justin said before drawing in a deep breath. He stood up to meet her and ella instinctively stand stood up also. Justin took her hand in his while staring into her blue sapphire eyes.

"Ella, would you be my girlfriend?"

"What? I don't understand. Didn't you already say you liked someone else?" Ella asked confused.

"I do like someone" He said before continuing "but the person I like is you. I've like you for a long time now. So Ella, I'll ask you again, would you be my girlfriend?" 

"Yes!!!" Ella screamed throwing herself into his arms. She had always imagined him asking her and now it had happened. If this was a dream, she hopes it never ends.

"But we can't let anyone know about it yet" Ella said removing from the embrace.

"Silly. The way I introduced you as my girlfriend back at the party would definitely make it to the headlines" Justin said pulling her back into his embrace and placing a kiss on her forehead.

"Then I really hope they wouldn't be able to get my picture" Ella said hopefully.
