Chapter 19 : Wary at the Warehouse
Blair’s PO
This feels weird. I mean, really weird. For the first time in what feels like a year and some change, I have the night off. My boss ended up calling me in and insisting that I take the next night off. I wasn’t in trouble. It wasn’t any kind of disciplinary thing. He just wanted it to be a reward for me working so hard.
For the first time in a long while, I let myself sleep in, using the blackout curtains to my advantage, and was basically dead to the world for the next twelve hours. At three o’clock, I hauled my carcass out of bed and made a nutritious breakfast, which didn’t taste half bad considering I had basically no groceries in my refrigerator.
I let myself sit and become a couch potato for another couple of hours, watching some nonsense YouTube videos about productivity and travel. Then, I decided to take yet another nap curled up there on the couch.
