I clenched my fists in frustration as I watched Edoardo carry on with his audacious plan. How could he think he had any right to force Eliana into marriage? It was clear to me that he was only doing this to exert control over her and assert his dominance.
Eliana glanced at me, her eyes filled with unease. I could see the fear and confusion in her expression as she tried to comprehend Edoardo's sudden insistence on marrying her tomorrow. She knew it was wrong, and deep down, she knew she deserved better than this.
"Yeah, Amorina. We will tie a knot tomorrow," Edoardo said, his voice dripping with false sweetness as he cupped her cheeks. I could barely contain my anger as he touched her lovingly, as if he had a right to.
Eliana gathered her courage and finally found her voice, whispering hesitantly, "Can we--"
