/Eliana's POV/
It's been a week since Martin's death, and things are slowly settling down. However, there is an underlying tension that lingers in the air. Riccardo has been consumed by the investigation into his father's murder and the foundation he plans to establish in his name. It's admirable how he can still find the strength to think of helping others despite the dark legacy that his father left behind.
Martha, Riccardo's mother, has been visiting us regularly. She seems relieved to have reconciled with her son, but there is still a lingering sadness in her eyes. I can see the weight of the past on her shoulders, the years of enduring abuse at the hands of Martin. It's heartbreaking to think about what she went through, and I can't help but feel a surge of anger towards him. If Martin were still alive, I'm certain that Riccardo's love for his mother would have driven him to seek justice, to make him pay for his crimes.
