Who Is The Murderer?

The woman looked up from what she was writing, "Yes, you're talking about the doctor? He moved to another hunted house."

"Which hunted house?" Freya asked, but the woman shook her head.

"I can't tell you that because he didn't tell us which one he was going to."

"Alright, thank you for your help." Luke said before they made their way back to the car.

She sighed, "We don't need to check where he operates anyway, we just need to get the government and police on our side, and we can have him locked up in no time."

"And we will get them on our side, baby."

Freya heard a soft knock on her opened office door, she turned and looked up from the files she was sorting through while standing in front of her desk. She saw Luke leaning against the doorway with a charming smile on his face that made her flush.

That was her first day at the firm Luke opened for her inside Walters Inc. She finally has an office, Gwen's office was opposite hers, but its door was shut at the moment.

"Why do you have your door open?" He asked as he stepped into the office closing the door.

"I just came in after printing these out and was about to close it when you came in." She placed the files on her desk as he strolled to her and stood in front of her.

"How's your day going running your own firm?" He placed his hands on her waist and she wrapped her arms loosely around his neck.

"It's going great, but why are you here, darling? Aren't you the busy CEO and owner of the company?" She bit her lower lip looking up at him and his gaze fell to her lips darkening.

"Yes, but I kept thinking about you and I needed to see you. And now that I have, I'll be able to concentrate on my work." He looked back up into her eyes and saw that she had caught him staring at her lips.

"Thinking about me? What were you thinking about me?" He moved closer and placed his lips to her ear.

"Thinking about all the things that I would like to do with you as my wife." She felt a shiver run through her in excitement.

She blushed and opened her mouth to speak when a knock came on the door. He removed his hands from her waist and stepped back turning to face the door.

"Who is it?"

"It's Penny, you have a client." Freya and Gwen's secretary called through the door.

"Hold on, I'll be with you in a moment." She called back.

"I will see you later, baby." He stepped closer to her and pressed his lips on her forehead before walking to the door.

She nodded as he opened the door and walked out. She could see Penny standing in front of the wide opened door with the client beside her.

It was apparent that Penny wasn't surprised to find the owner of the whole company at Freya's office and she guessed it was because Luke told her before she started working there.

But the female client gawked at Luke, it wasn't because she knew him or seeing him there surprised her, it was his handsomeness and his aura that commanded attention drawing people to him.

"Please, come in."

"Hi, I'm Riley Witmore." The woman said stepping into the office, Penny closed the door from outside before going back to her desk beside the door.

"Hello Riley. How are you?"

Freya made her way to the chair behind her desk and sat down. She gestured to the chair at the front of her desk glancing at Riley.

"Sit down, please." Riley sat down before she replied.

"Well, not very good. I was accused of theft and I need you to clear my name since they're taking me to court." Riley let out a sniffle, her hands gripping her pink purse tighter.

"That won't be a problem, but I need to know the truth as your lawyer. Did you commit the theft or not?" She picked up a new file folder and a pen.

"No, it was all a mistake." Freya opened the file and started writing what Riley was saying.

"Alright, that's better, but before we start, I would like to know how you knew about me so fast and came to me on my first day here?"

Riley smiled, "Everyone in Community town knows that you are a great lawyer especially since you worked on Nathan Brady's murder case. And it was posted almost everywhere online last week."

Freya immediately thought of Luke knowing that he must be behind it to help her get clients. She felt her heart soar with love for him for the love and care he was showing for her.

She heard a knock on her office door before it opened to reveal Gwen and Rose standing there. "Freya, we need to talk."

Dr. David cut into the wolf's stomach that was laying down on one of his operating tables, a man occupied the other one. The wolf let out a pained growl and started shaking in its restraints on the table as Dr. David plunged in the distillator into its stomach.

Its sharp ends cutting and digging into its organs, the wolf let out a loud growl. The man on the other table jolted awake and started fighting against his restraints too.

"Let me go." The weak voice of the man came.

Dr. David ignored him as he continued operating on the wolf. The man kept trashing and shouting as the wolf did the same while he continued his operation. He had started using animals too to see if there was a cure in them and to experiment more on them and their species.

He was spending more of his time operating now since he felt so angry about not getting Freya. Operating and hearing the screams of his victims calmed him down, he enjoyed and reveled in it.

He had to get Freya, but she keeps slipping away and then there's that fiance of hers that kept standing in his way. He had to take care of him first if he wanted to get to Freya.

To think that she had the audacity to get engaged to another man after he told her he wanted her. He didn't want any man close to her. He will get her no matter what he had to do.

"I need your help." Rose said as Freya, Gwen and her sat in Freya's office.

Freya had quickly wrapped up her session with Rliey after Gwen told her they needed to talk about something important. Riley had left around twenty minutes after she had arrived.

Gwen and Rose came in right after to discuss what was going on. "What happened?"

"Nina was murdered and her dad is taking me to court as the murderer." Rose said fiddling with her fingers.

Freya felt shocked, "What?"

"She was found dead at home with a stab wound." Gwen concluded, not looking shocked because she had already heard the news.

"Why is her dad accusing you?" She asked with her brows furrowed in confusion.

"It's because we had a big fight. I saw her with Aaron leaving a hotel when I was driving back home from work. So I cried my eyes out in my car then went to Nina's to give her a piece of my mind." Rose clenched and unclenched her fists in anger, her face a mixture of sadness and rage.

"That doesn't mean that you killed her, it shouldn't be seen as enough evidence to take you to court." Freya reasoned lacing her fingers together on her desk.

"Yeah, but the thing is, that happened a few hours before she died and I said that I would kill her for doing this to me. After that, I drove off to cry my eyes out a few streets away. But I said that out of anger, I can never kill her or anyone no matter how angry I am at them."

"Oh, no. You shouldn't have said that. We need to get a strong alibi for you to get you out of this one."

"Yeah, I never thought that she would betray me like that. She's my best friend and for her to sleep with my husband? I know that she did that to spite me since she discouraged me from marrying him many times before we got married."

"I'm sorry about that." Freya said as Gwen placed a hand on Rose's arm, rubbing it soothingly.

"I would expect such a betrayal from Percy, but not Nina." Rose added, her eyes welling up with tears. She raised her hands to her eyes and swiped them away.

"And I never thought Aaron would do that to me. He also kept denying it, he can't even come clean after I caught them myself."

"Don't worry, Rose. Everything will get better soon enough." Gwen comforted, "We also need to find out who murdered Nina to completely clear your name."

Freya nodded, "Yeah, and it was only Nick that could have murdered her, but he's in prison. Who murdered Nina?"
