The CEO's Long Lost Friend

Freya quickly stepped back from him as he still stared at her in longing. She cleared her throat and replied to Penny, "Good morning, Penny. Were you going somewhere?"

Her reply made him realize Penny was there, and he turned to her nodding in greeting as he watched Freya step out of the elevator. Penny replied as her eyes danced from Luke to Freya, "Uh, I was just about to go see if Jamie came in yet."

Penny referred to her boyfriend who was also working in the company. She stepped back from the doorway of the elevator letting the doors close as Luke stared at Freya with his heated eyes and she smiled teasingly at him. After the doors closed, she turned back to Penny who was looking at her in amazement.

"I didn't see his car in the parking lot, I don't think he's in yet."

"Oh, I guess he's not in then, he would have come or texted anyway." Penny said as Freya turned around and started walking down the hallway to her office.
