Yearning for his affection

Outside the VIP room

Just as Mr Brown wanted to enter the room his phone went off and it was a phone call, looking at the caller ID it was Gilbert, the vice president of JN group.

He was calling only to inform him that the shareholders who previously wanted to sell their shares has decided to keep the shares

and the companies that wanted to withdraw their partnership has disregarded their wish as if nothing happened.

In a matter of few minutes their stocks that had dropped all of the sudden started to rise again.

'Indeed that man is dangerously powerful ' Mr Brown thought as he received the news.

But just then his assistant Mike arrived giving him a small nod Mr Brown acknowledge his presence as he continued talking with his phone and after he finished he turn to look at Mike who seem to have something important to tell him.

" Boss I have already found out what happened to young Master" Mike said calmly.

" What happened?" Mr Brown asked curiously but looking at his face one could see his displeased expression, he really didn't like talking about his second son.

"Well young master got hurt while saving Mr Smith's daughter who almost ended her life the other day" Mike said looking at the man whose face went from frown to surprise.

"After the engagement party?" Mr Brown asked and seem a bit worried.

" Yes boss " Mike affirmed.

" Do you think she heard what Richard said? " Mr Brown asked.

"No I don't think so " Mike said since he got the news that the girl had tried to run away and when it was not possible she resorted to end her life.

sigh!

"Okay you can go now" Mr Brown said and he seem to have discovered the reason behind the sudden change of heart of that scary man.

Inside the VIP hospital room.

"My dear sister didn't you say that you wanted to go shopping... well there I helped you get rid of the obstacles ..am I not a cool brother?" Leon said as he looked at his puzzled sister,

what did he mean? not just Joanna everyone was curious what he meant by his words, what did he do?.

Joanna was still questioning Leon when Father Brown entered the room and with a cold expression he told everyone to leave and go home so then unwillingly everyone left the hospital premises and went back home instead he would be the one to look after him, he said and with not very convinced look they left the task into his hands.

Now that everyone was gone Mr Brown went close to his pale son saying nothing he started fixing his hospital clothes and cover him with hospital bed sheets, clearing his throat he asked.

"How do you feel now?"

Though it was a bit awkward when he asked that question but Leon could feel his was sincerely concerned.

"As you can see still bedridden and dripped" Leon replied looking at the man with complicated feelings, after a long time the man called his father care about him and asked how he felt that should that warm his heart?. 

"Leonard!" Mr Brown called him softly taking him by surprise did he just call him normally.

"Yes" he replied looking at him like waiting for his father's praise, he was sure by now he must have known he had saved his family from chaos that was caused by his first son.

" Thank you for helping out our family if not I am not sure what would have happened, your brother had messed up a lot and that Mr Smith is a very dangerous person especially when it comes to his daughter" Mr Brown said calmly looking at his son with complicated feelings, after all this child he had never really accepted in his heart.

"It nothing, it family matter so it my responsibility too" Leon said with a calm tone making his father pleased.

It was their first normal conversation after almost two decades, though they used to talk on the phone but it was only once few times and mostly was reprimanding him or scolding him.

Though the man wasn't especially warm to him Leon was still satisfied at least he acknowledged him regardless of how he felt.

After few days later Leon was discharged from the hospital. 

The whole family was waiting for him and after a long time of being away from home he was finally back again and everyone was there to welcome him,

thinking about how he had forced his way to come back who would have thought that he did have a grand welcome like this.

Anyway he was content, and one could see it from his pleased look that couldn't be wiped off his handsome face.

That day the whole family had dinner together grandma Brown was the happiest of all, finally the whole family was together again nothing could make her satisfied than this.

After dinner the whole family stayed together, Leon had a pillow on his back to prevent any discomfort as he sat on the couch of the spacious living room, everyone was at peace and harmony as they make small talks and chat calmly except Richard who seem to be in a foul mood.

While they were at it a little kid about three years old came joined them, he seem sleepy as his little hands continuously rub his eyes Leon looked at him curiously,

he has heard of him, Don the child of Joseph the young man was already a father at such young age making him not take part in arranged marriage with rich families,

he didn't care how others took him only his family matter and they all accepted him and they all joined to help him raise his young boy whose mother had eloped after giving birth to their child she said she was not ready for the heavy responsibility of being a mother at young age. She was ready to give birth to the baby after being threatened by her parents but that was it after that she eloped and nobody knew where she went.

It was his first time seeing the boy, he sure looks like his young brother but he couldn't enjoy looking at him because his nanny immediately took him to sleep.

"In two days to come we will be attending dinner at Mr Smith's house so I hope everyone will get ready by then also Leon will be joining the company as soon as he recovers "Mr Brown spoke authoritative breaking the bubbles of the foul young man who refused to accept his mistakes.

"Wow brother congratulations and welcome to family business" Joanna said happily letting out a small giggles after hearing the news, she seem excited over the news,

Everyone in Brown family take part in the business direct or indirectly and even the twins were working for the company despite their studies.

"Yes brother welcome to the family business"said Joseph sincerely before turning to look at his elder brother with a smirk.

But Richard seem calm as he knew why his father suddenly wanted Leon to join the family business, if only his little brother he knew Richard thought with a smirk inwardly.
