47: Lunch Meeting 2

Nova didn't realize how close they were sitting until that moment, she looked down to escape his hazel eyes. "It's um my first day on the job, maybe that's why."

"So when do you get off work?"

She looked up with wide eyes at his question, confused.

"We met each other twice today purely by coincidence, it's almost like fate is trying to say something." Leo leaned back in his seat, "Who knows when I will see you again after today, so let me buy you dinner."

Nova's response was interrupted by the door opening, a waiter inviting Roan in. She looked at him and immediately suppressed a shiver, his gray eyes were so cold. She wondered if the board meeting had gone badly and that was why it had taken so long.

"Leon Vaughan," Roan spoke to Leo after the uniformed waiter closed the door behind him.

Leo got up with a muted smile, holding out a hand, "I was sure you were going to stand me up."
