Chapter 4

When they got to Gwen's place, Gwen entered her house and met an unexpected visitor, it was her boyfriend Erik.

It wasn't a bad thing for a boyfriend to visit his girlfriend but at least not after three months!

Gwen was infuriated when she saw him.

"What are you doing here Erik?" Gwen asked irritatedly.

"To see you of course, can't I come visit?" Erik said trying to hug Gwen but she pushed him away.

"Don't touch me!"

"But why babe? I came to see you."

"After 3 months? Stay away from me! The door's that way!"

"You know what, I came here only because my mom told me to bring my girlfriend and Amelia is outta town so just be pretty and follow me to see my mom now!!"

"I'm not going anywhere with you asshole!!"

"Then I will make you!" Erik said pulling Gwen.

Gwen tried releasing herself from Erik but she received a hot slap from him.

"Leave me alone!!!" Gwen said stepping on Erik and he let her go.

Erik was about to grab Gwen again when someone held his hand. "That's not how you treat a woman you bastard!"

"She's not your girlfriend, so it's none of your business!"

"If you speak to me like that again, I promise I'll remove all your teeth, break all your bones and make sure you do not see the day break!!"

Erik tried to hit Kai but Kai held his fist and pinned his hand to his back.

"I don't want to hurt you, just leave!" Kai said.

Erik still tried to free himself from Kai's grip.

"I warned you," Kai said before releasing him and punched Erik blacking him out and leaving him a with black eye.

"Why'd you do that?" Gwen asked.

"He was trying to hit you," Kai replied her.

"That's my boyfriend and you have no right to interfere with my personal business. Can you please leave?"

"I would've helped any woman I saw in a situation like this. You were just lucky he didn't beat you up till you were half dead," Kai said and left. Kai took Erik with him and dropped him at the side of the road.... literally.

Because of that, Gwen couldn't sleep that night. The next day was a work day but she begged Kai for a week off and surprisingly, he agreed.

Gwen changed her locks the next day to make sure Erik wasn't getting in.

She sat alone in her house all day with absolutely nothing to do.

In the evening, Gwen had just finished washing the dishes.

She sat down to watch a movie when her phone rang. She looked at her phone screen and it was her mom calling. She didn't want to pick up but she did. "Hello mom, why are you calling?" Gwen questioned.

"So I can't call my own daughter?" Georgie asked.

"It's just so unusual for you to call except you need something."

"We have a matter to discuss."

"And that is?"

"Why the hell did you quit your job?"

"Because your husband was being an asshole."

"He's your father."

"He's my STEPFATHER mom. He's not like dad and you know it. We were happier with dad but you left dad for Alex, why? I never said getting married to who you love is a bad thing but do you have to be so blinded by love or money not to see it? Are you on his side or mine? If you are on his, I honestly don't want to be your daughter anymore!" Gwen said and hung up.

Does the whole universe have to be against me Gwen thought.
