Mrs. Nicholas' lip curled in contempt as she saw cold sweat drip from Samantha's forehead after hearing what her mother stated.
She knew Samantha was beginning to feel guilty for what she had done, but she really wished Samantha could learn what she did was wrong without her trying to call her mother.
"Is Samantha there?" Samantha's mother enthusiastically inquired from the other side.
"Well, she is here. She is listening to everything you've said."
"Dear Samantha. I always knew you would make me proud. I understand that being in a new country may be stressful for you, but I want you to always be on your best behavior. Look, you just made me proud by meeting someone who knows Yun Mia. I always knew you would make me proud."
"You know what? I will call you later. There is something I need to say to Samantha."
"Okay, goodbye." Samantha's mother said, then hung up the line.
