8 What A Beautiful Day

December 31st.

Finally after escaping from Yin who was chasing me for leaving the orphanage without permission (again) I meet up with Naruto a ways away from where Yin is looking.

Yin doesn't particularly like tracking and I mastered the art of sneaking. So there is no possible way she'll find me.

I've gotta say though, she has got to work on those extra skills and not only combative skills. That is why I've tried teaching her the fundamentals of how to heal someone with healing jutsu.

Though I don't know how to use such jutsus myself. Hehehe...

"Well, look who finally managed to show up!" Naruto put on a bit of a scowl seeing that I missed the meet up time.

"Hehe… You know that I have to escape from Yin now that I don't have my coat, she doesn't want me getting frostbite." I innocently explained my circumstances, but Naruto wasn't having any of it and already started walking ahead.

Though today I'am not wearing my jacket that I had specially made to look like Kazuto Kirigaya's from SAO, I still had my robe that was an alternatively colored version of Kabuto's robe. It was the silver/black and blue one that made an appearance in Naruto to Boruto Shinobi Striker.

*Sigh~* 'I really have my work cut out just for me huh.'

Most would be wondering what we are doing today and that is simple, we decided to meet up with Hinata; it also seems that Naruto is onto me.

Whenever I spoke of meeting with Hinata just yesterday he had this stupid grin on his face that made me want to give him a well placed punch right on his nose.

But I digress.

We are now heading to a back part of Konoha where plenty of trees form a small wooded area, there we will meet up and possibly train and play around for the day.

As we walk about both Naruto and I have passed by a number of shops, in those shops I spotted Ten-Ten, Sasuke and even Lee. But today I don't have much time…That is because I lack my jacket and my sister might kill me if I don't show up at home with it so I really need to meet with Hinata NOW.

After a walk that lasted roughly twelve minutes we finally arrived… But before us was a scene that looked all too familiar.

Hinata was being bullied…

Instantaneously I charged forward and Naruto followed behind me.

I was enraged, anger filled me. With but a single hand signal I called forth my crows.

The murder swiftly appeared around in the trees and prepared to act. The trees grew dense with a small army as I approached, and the sky began to darken around the bullies.

"YOU DARE!" Is all that could escape my mouth as I approached the brats.

Before I called my crows they were acting like they did in the anime. They were messing with Hinata solely because she was a Hyuuga and had eyes that were different from everyone else.

As I walked forward the snow was squished under my feet and the air grew thick with an atmosphere that screamed at the bullies to run, yet they could only look my way.

As I approached they could finally see who I was.

"Hey! It's that Crow Kid! No wonder all these birds came here. So it was because to you!"

"Yeah since he is a freak as well they must know each other! Hahaha!"

"Man, you wanna pick a fight huh?!"

They were a very provocative bunch that deserved to have a boot rammed up each of their ass'.

"Rei, you gonna let them get away with this?!" Naruto was furious with how I slowed down as I approached this rotten bunch.

Hinata looked my way with eyes that practically pleaded for help, she didn't want to be near those bastards.

"Hmph, if you can beat me then bring it already. I have no time for the weak, otherwise i'd give you a watch." Now I just wanted to shove their teeth down their throats. But even so I decided to crack a small joke to ease the atmosphere.

"Huh?" Seems they don't get it.

With a twitching face I just decided to shout "Well? Come on then! Let's fight!"

"Tch, let get him!" Now thew three threw their caution into the wind as they came at me.

They wanted to give me a beat down, but that ain't happening.

As the leader like one came at me first I punched forward into his gut making sure I follow through with the punch, this knocked him onto his back curled into a ball.

Seeing that their leader was getting beaten the other two grew angry and rushed forward.

Deciding what to call the two of them is a pain so I'll just use L1 and L2.

L1 came charging similarly to the boss, as I prepare to also send him back on his ass he ducks down. L2 was right behind the kid already throwing a punch my way,

Easily dodging the attack I moved a few feet to my right. Now my back was to a tree.

Now the two of them came from the sides in a U shape attack pattern, They planned to hit me twice at once. And I didn't want to give them any hope.

As the two approached and came swinging in from both sides of me… I ducked.

The two Lackeys had traded blows and hit each other pretty good on the cheeks.

But now they were vulnerable, they were both stunned. And I took my chance and from below I threw my arms up as I shot from a crouching position into a standing position.

This one move had landed on both L1 and L2's chins and caused them to lift off the ground.

As they landed it was quite apparent that the two were out cold for now.

Now off at the sidelines an idiot decides to shout a few praises my way,

"Hahaha! Good going Rei! I expect no less from my brother!" but quickly after he says this he clamps his hand over his mouth and actually has quite the red face.

I can only smile at his antics.

"Yes yes, thanks for the praise little bro." I;am now the one one smirking to myself.

Naruto blanked out for a second… But then shouted out with a smiling face.

"Hey, why are you the older brother?!"

I looked at him as if he had the word stupid written on his face.

"It is because I was born mid day while your birth was at night time. You were almost born on the 11th of October you dolt."

Off to the side Hinata had a small smile on her face, and as she continued to listen in on our arguments she began to laugh. It was a beautifully melodious laugh.

"Haha, you two really are the best of brothers aren't you?" It was the first time I had heard her speak so informally.

I was now entranced and soon I quickly approached her.

As I did she realized what she said and her face turned a beet red as she seemed to almost want to run away.

After approaching her, I took her hands an held them close to my chest.

I gazed into her eyes that were now completely focused on me, smiled and leaned in.

She knew what was going to happen and she was happy with it… So she too leaned in.

Slowly as we closed our eyes and approached each other… I heard the crutch of the snow and quickly noticed a figure had appeared behind Naruto all unbeknownst to him.

My face paled…

It was the leader of the bunch, in his hand he carried a kunai and is about to stab Naruto.

"Konoha doesn't need all you monsters! Die!" he called out as he started to bring down the blade.

As quickly as I could I made my way over to Naruto who was turning around to see what was happening. And in this process I had accidentally thorn Hinata to the ground onto her bottom.

All I could do was move as fast as I possibly could. And so I did just that.

Time began to slow down and the world looks almost as if it were standing still.

And so I moved with all my strength and I made it over to Naruto.

As I pushed him away from the path of the kunai I only shouted out to Naruto in warning "Naruto! Get dow-!" But I was promptly cut off, quite literally in fact.

The kunai had come down… And it landed on my neck, severing my throat and caused a gush of blood to shoot out.

The Leader of the Bullies had seen what he had done, and he ran away as fast as his feet could carry him.

Both Hinata and Naruto were left in shock.

Then finally the silence was broken with but a scream of horror from the both of them.

In the time that they were in shock I had hit several pressure points to slow down the bleeding as much as I can, but this method can only do so much.

"No no no no no… Rei, are you okay?! No that's a stupid question! That bastard I'll kill him!"

Naruto was the first to truly react and his was a reaction of anger and bloodlust, the Kyuubi chakra was beginning to run rampant and I had to stop it.

As Naruto was trying to leave, I grabbed his hand.

Suddenly as I did so a single crow came down and landed on his shoulder.

It spoke to Naruto in a high yet shrill voice. "He want to tell you that spilling blood for blood is not the way to go, he wants you to calm down and walk a path of righteousness and not the path of killing."

Naruto was devastated, his brother might die any second and he cannot do a thing about it, when he attempted to get revenge he was stopped without a second thought. He doesn't deserve such a brother.

Naruto now wanted to know what he can do… And it came to him… A doctor!

And so Naruto left after all the kyuubi chakra had dissipated.

Now Hinata and Rei were alone.

Hinata looked like she died on the inside and her face was covered in treat that threatened to freeze.

"Why? Why did you have to come here? If you stayed away, then you would still be able to make it through this. Yet now?!" She was pouring out her tears by the gallons and she didn't really know why.

She has only known him for a little while, yet when she looks at him her heart races and face is filled with a mighty blush.

She fell in love with him, and now….

Here he is dying.

Another crow came and perched on her shoulder. this time in a more womanly voce yet was still high and shrill it spoke. "He doesn't want you to cry, he only wants you to smile. He says that you look more beautiful that way."

The crow finished speaking and went back to its branch fully knowing that its summoner will soon die.

Hinata sat their trying to smile her best but with how sad she was and gown much she wanted to cry it came out a little scrunched up and not very pretty. But to Rei it was beautiful and meant the world to him.

So he smiled back.

Soon later arrived what seemed to be a group of shinobi a few anbu and even a doctor… That was the last thing he saw and last thing he heard was the voce of Hinata telling him to wake up.

Soon after, he heard the system say.
