35 Not like I care.

Resounding throughout my ears were the sounds of shouting and roars of some unknown beast. The guard left immediately after giving the update and joined in the defense of the camp, attempting to buy as much time as he could with the little amount his life is worth.

'Damnit, this isn't a time to look down on others.' Snapping out of my train of thought I immediately rose from my chair and ran to the tent flap that led to the outside.

"Damnit Ace, hold on!" Najenda caught up to me as I finally lift up the flap and looked out before me to the camp.

My eyes grew wide and the vein within them can be seen as the blood practically flew through my veins, but even with it like this, my face still went pale as it flowed to my brain rather than my face so as to help me understand the situation.

War… War was happening before my very eyes.

No… It was more like a slaughtering of humans.

Fire was everywhere and corpses were already spread all about, even the young soldier who came to warn us had his throat torn out in the time it took me to get out of the tent.

"ACE, WE ARE LEAVING!!" Before I could react my arm was gripped strongly and I was dragged away from where I stood still in horror.

Snapping from my stupor I looked to Najenda and simply said "Najenda, lets." And so we continued onward to the outer part of the camp.

Running the best we could we navigated our way through the camp and as we did so of course we could not go unnoticed. Leaping over barrels and through rows of tent that were completely soaked in blood, all of which was ignored due to the looming threat which chased us.

Looking back I can only say that whatever was chasing us certainly was bipedal but was very distant from being human. The skin was peeled off and the muscle was being bared to the world outside, the teeth were practically rotted and decaying into ground dust but I can tell that so much as a scratch is enough to kill most humans. It seemed venomous almost.

Najenda wasn't willing to be taken down without a fight and drew 'Pumpkin' from her back to fire at the Ghouls which dared to chase us while letting out a deep growl as if saying 'Food!'. These Ghouls could not see, but there sense of smell easily outranked that of any low level danger beast, there hearing was also on another level as the others who stormed the camp came running our way.

As Najenda pulled 'Pumpkin' from her back she simultaneously threw Nanami into my embrace and took a stance that showed she was marksmen by using her left knee as a support for her gun. As she prepare her self to fire, from the sides appeared two ghouls with their arms stretched and mouth wide open preparing to accept their meal.

Placing Nanami onto my head I made hand signs faster than ever before and then placed my right hand to my lips as I prepared to spit out something from my mouth. Saying out loud "Fire Style: Phoenix Immortal Fire" simultaneously spitting out four fireballs the size of a basket ball.

The fireballs were swift and deadly, as they came up to the ghouls the fireballs blew-up which devastated their bodies and let them become nothing more than pieces of what they were before.

After but a moment from the death of the Ghouls 'Pumpkin' which Najenda practically refused to perform maintenance on finally opened fire on those who were charging our way, in the full auto mode which fire round after round consistently for a few moments so as to completely anhialate this in front of it.

After ten seconds of firing, I placed my hand on the shoulder of Najenda and yanked her away from where she kneeled. "Ace, what are you do-" before she could finish, a hand swatted me away into a nearby tent.

*BANG**CRASH*

Najenda looked before and saw something that only appeared once in every million cases of Extreme Magic Saturation… A behemoth of a Ghoul like being stood before to stop her escape and advancement.

The Behemoth looked at Najenda with a great grin on its face, it had understood one thing from living so long as a Ghoul and that is that female humans taste much better than males.

As Najenda opened fire upon the Behemoth it only swatted away the shots from the full auto mode that served to merely feel like bug bites to it. As soon as 'Pumpkin' showed sighns of over heating Najenda could only forget about Ace and run for her life, but in her head she apologize 'I'm sorry Ace, forgive me.' as she ran so as to survive.

But the Behemoth couldn't just let its prey run away, so with a kick the Behemoth started to charge in the direction of Najenda so as it can squish her then eat the tender remains.

*STOMP,STOMP,STOMP*

With all its might, the massive Behemoth gave chase in a great desperation as it wanted to eat more than anything else at the moment. It even went so far as to let down its guard. Suddenly a voice was heard than brought some light to the situation, literally as it said "Fire Style: Great Fireball" and suddenly from the mouth of Ace came a giant fireball that was the size of three meters in diameter.

This Great Fireball came rushing toward the Behemoth at a fast pace that easily overtook its charge. *BAANNG!!!!* With this the Behemoth lost balance and fell onto of a tent that was already lit aflame.

Najenda looked as me and shout out with a face filled with shock "Ace, you're alive?" and I can only answer back with "What? Did you want me to die?" and a sassy smile was on my face.

Listening to me Najenda had a wry smile herself "It's not that, I just thought this Behemoth had gotten you." I had to ask "Oh? Were you worried about me?"

Najenda then grew a bit angry, "Not like I care!!"

As we were just getting close to check on one another, a figure which was covered in fire lunged from the tent at a frightening speed!

"Just die already!" I yell as I jump back in surprise from the sudden appearance and as did Najenda.

But after I stood firm so as to fight, I noticed something that only proceeded to shock me even more. This thing had its would healing at a visible rate, even the burns were recovering though at a much slower rate.

"Najenda!" I kept my eyes on the Behemoth as it charged my way so as to get rid of me while I call over to Najenda for a helping hand "Yeah, yeah I'm working on it." She says as she runs off to get ready.

Knowing that I can trust her, I myself lent a hand. By charging at the angered Behemoth.

As I met the Behmoth its fist rained down on me from above, seeing come down I moved my body aside so as to only slightly dodge with a small space. *CRASH* The arm of the Behemoth was now stuck in the ground due to the force used. With my back to the Behemoths arm which was stuck in the ground I pulled from my inventory the 'Blood Harvest' and rotated so as to cut off the arm which the Behemoth hit me with once already.

*RRIIIIIP* a loud tearing sound was let out into the surroundings, this was caused by my lack of authority of the Imperial Arm in my hand that was unwilling to submit so easily. And therefore the blade refuse to make a clean and swift cut but rather tore apart the flesh it came into contact with.

*ROOOOARR!!!* The Behemoth Ghoul let out a great resounding roar that threatened to demolish my ear drums and deafen me.

But as I completely ignore the roar of this insect I spin 'Blood Harvest' in my right hand as I move my arm into a strongman pose as the shaft of the Imperial Arm landed and rested on my shoulders.

This gave off the look of a Grim Reaper that had reaped thousands of lives, all as it looked over the kneeling Behemoth that roared in pain while covered in fire and had a missing left arm.

But before I could attack once again, another Behemoth showed itself and used both arms to swing down on my position as it landed on the ground. All as if to squish me into a fine paste. But that went swimmingly as I knew that it was coming this way from my area sensory that I reactivated when I found out we were under-attack.

After dodging I turned and broke out into an all out sprint so as to escape, seeing me this way the two Behemoths that were under pressure were now ecstatic and pursued in an attempt to kill me.

As I made my way back throughout the camp so as to go in the opposite direction from Najenda, I had to jump through random patches of fire that threatened to burn my flesh. I jumped over barrels, slid under knocked over poles that once held the tents and cut through the still burning tents with 'Blood Harvest' all as I made a straight route to escape with.

Soon I made my way out of the camp and into an open clearing where the only thing separating me from the forest was a field that was over thirty meters wide, but that did not matter to me in the least as my goal was long since complete.

Turning around I laid my eyes upon the Behemoths that were coming my way with expression containing pure rage, but instead of using 'Blood Harvest' the Scythe disappeared from my hand as they then began to make a numerous amount of hand signs before the Behemoths could get within range of me.

As I was doing this I looked at a small hill that sat opposite of me where a flash of light had hit my eye as a glint. It was a scope of a sniper, it was 'Pumpkin' that was wielded by Najenda.

With the sudden glint I activated the Sharingan in my eyes and looked at her lips to see if she were ready what her lips said to me where "Cut-Down Shot" and as she said this I can see the light at the tip of her gun grow in brightness. Similar to Najenda I finished my preparations and said out "Fire Style: Majestic Destroyer Flame!" out came from my mouth a sea of fire that threatened to swallow the Behemoths.

Both Behemoths were swallowed by my fire and could feel their flesh being burned off while their insides cooked, but this still had yet to stop them do to the fact I had yet to reach a high level with my Chakra control. Meaning they survived and are furious at the one who dare to light them a flame.

The two continue to charge forward with a new found rage, yet this rage was minuscule in the eye of Rei as he looked toward the shining light from across the way. The user of that Arm was also being boiled in rage as of now, her comrades were long since dead, the man who helped her without batting an eye had led them away, the cute pup who she fell for and these bastards dared to try and take them? They must die now!

This rage wasn't meaningless it was the fuel used for her Arm and with it the power can only grow!

*BAAAAAAAAAAAANNNG!!!!*

A loud roar of an explosion came from the weapon which was wielded at the hands of Najenda the great commander of the Army which supported the Empire. She fired this shot out of vengeance and hatred as well as love.

She wanted these Behemoths to be turned to ash and therefore the weapon known amongst the Empire as 'Roman Artillery: Pumpkin' shall not disappoint!

A large beam of light was fired at a speed that easily exceed that of light with a thickness of one meter, slicing through the ground with ease as if a heated now to room temperature butter.

Within but a moment, the two Behemoths were cut and disintegrated at the hands of the great beam of light. Erasing some of them from the planet, never shall those pieces which came into contact with the light ever return to the world.

The light faded and the dust settled leaving the remains of scorched corpses in its wake, barely anything was left.

A single voice could badly be heard from across the camp which reached the ears of Rei "Ace! Let's go already!" Najenda shouted this out while waving her free arm.

Shouting back Rei decide this was as far as they go… "You go back to the Capital! I have other things to do!"

Hearing me Najenda was honestly surprised, but even with a face of reluctance that I never expected to see from her she looked my way and shouted out with a mighty voice but in actuality it was what she said that made me stagger where I stood.

"At least let Nanami stay with me! I don't care much for you!" she said straightforwardly.

Putting on a wry smile after nearly falling over I looked to Najenda and said openly "Not like I care!"

And with those words I turned around and waved at her with my back facing her, with a playful smile on my face.

And with that playful smile on my face I walked away, deep into the forest where my silhouette couldn't be seen anymore.
