Sorry, I'll Look For Work Elsewhere

Removing the filter and funnel from atop the large brewing cup, Nelphy added the finishing touches. Nelphy transferred the coffee to a disposable, paper-based cup and remembered to ask, "Excuse me, sir, do you have a preference for sweet or straight coffee?"

The expressionless man shook his head. "I just want your best coffee."

"Alright, then I'll make you the best coffee possible with what's available…"

Nelphy added a dash of caramel she had found in the fridge under the counter, but only after she tasted it to be sure of the flavor. Then, she gave a quick stir with a pinch of cinnamon. And it was all topped off with a dollop of cream.

Pushing it forward, Nelphy added a lid and handed the man a straw. "Here you are, sir. Enjoy."

"Hmm… That wasn't too fast. But it smells good, so I'll give it a taste," stated the man, still not giving anything away from his expression.

But that emotionless mask melted away as the man took his first sip. "This… This is our coffee?"
