@readers
dear friends,I was unable to post yesterday as I was not feeling well. Presently,I am under home isolation because I was tested positive for COVID19. But it gave me an opportunity to write this story and share with you. Hope you will like it...
Ignorant to the events that had taken place after their escape,the trio - Harrison, Christie and Charles were standing in front of the gates of Greenhill Magic college,Mecca of Wizards. There were huge walls surrounding the buliding. The gate was large enough to let a whole parade on elephants to pass through it. There were sculptures of dragons and giants engraved on the gate. It looked as they would become alive at any moment. There was a man standing in front of the gate lighting the lights around the gate. " O great! Nice to see you Dracodorth." greeted Harrison. On hearing this,the man turned around. Christie eyes had a look of horror on seeing him. The man was like a dracula,having sharp canines,long hair, big red eyes..ready to capture its prey. He ignored Christie and Charles. "Hope you haven't forgot me. I am here to meet Principal Mr. Stevenstone. Here is the letter." He scanned the letter and them. He knew Harrison as he was a great wizard of his times,a close confederate of King Alexander, before disappearing from the scene for some years alongwith the King and his other companions. He allowed the trio to pass through the gates and went on lightening the gate.
The Harrison led them through a vast premises of the college. There were large trees on the both sides of the road bearing flowers. The fallen flowers had covered the road and the ground. The topography was such that it appeared that they were going upside the hill. Christie could see the vastness of the building of the college. There was a strange feeling arising in her heart. It was wrong to say that she was not swayed by the beauty of the place,but there was a gut feeling that her life was going to have a great change. They kept moving through the corridors. Though Christie got admission in one of the great university in her world,but that university looked like an infant school in comparison to the wizard college. There was an eerie silence. Only sound was that of the whistling of Charles. "Do I also need to meet Mr. Stevenstone Bridge? I mean I may go to my room and see you guys later on." Christie raised her eyebrows as if she was searching for some clues why he was behaving like that? Charles came closer to her and said in a low tone," Every student in the college dreads of the Principal. He is famous for his discipline and strictness.You may never know when his mood gets switched off." Harrison gave him an annoyed expression on hearing his blabbering,"Would it kill you if you don't open your little mouth?"
After taking a few turns through the large corridors,finally they reached in front of the Principal's office. Finally... thought Christie.."Could I be able to memorize all these turns and corridors?"
Harrison knocked on the door. There was an elf who opened the door. "Oh Mr. Harrison,Sire has been waiting for you since noon." When they entered the room, Christie found it to be an empty room only having a bench on one side. There was a huge rope trailing down from the roof in the centre of the room. Elf named Pristine pulled the room and there appeared a round staircase around the corner. Harrison made them wait in the room and he went upstairs. Christie and Charles sat on the bench waiting.
While on the upper floor, Harrison walked into a room where there were book shelves around having books arranged in a peculiar fashion. One could not see the covers of the books as it appeared to be somewhat foggy. There was a side desk at the corner of the room which was neatly organised.
Then there was a large table having a book opened on it. There was a quill placed on its side with a diary as someone was taking notes from the book. Out of curiosity, Harrison peeked into the opened book. But book got closed with a bang and flew to be placed on one of the shelves. There echoed a voice behind Harrison," You are the same old curious creature , Harrison." Harrison turned around. It was a tall, pompous man ,big moustaches,curly hair,thick eyebrows. His complexion was somewhat golden and that was his skin colour. There was a pair of round glasses resting on his nose. His face was as bright as sun and was exuding an aura that man had a deep experience and history behind him. "Good evening,Mr. Stevenstone,"Harrison bowed his head with respect. "A very good evening, Harrison. You kept me waiting for a long time, Harrison. " He cleared his throat and said ," You were not allowed to ride on the roc. Have you forget the rules?" Harrison narrowed his eyes and asked," Then,you must have known that it was not just accident." "You are right. It was not an accident but a trap for you. But for the time being, everything is fine. So,why to worry about this matter? Isn't it so,huh?" Harrison wanted to ask something more but after hearing Mr. Stevenstone,he knew that if this man is saying not to worry,then it means that everything was alright. He can't fanthom the depths of his witchcraft, intelligence, experience and of course , his demeanor. He was one of the few wizards who can be considered as a holy book of witchcraft. "Harrison, let's meet our little friends." Saying this ,he moved downstairs where Christie and Charles were waiting.
Christie saw a man was coming downstairs . He was wearing long white robe,a smile emerging from his lips. " Welcome dear friends, I hope you had no difficulties in your journey." He said. "Good evening,Sir. The journey was a whole new experience for me." Christie wanted to speak further but was interrupted by him." I think you are tired after such a long fateful day. Go to your rooms. Have some rest. The food will be served in your rooms for today. Pristine ,show them their respective rooms. And how are you , Charles?" saying this, he turned towards Charles. Until now,Charles was feeling happy that he was left unseen. Everyone's eyes turned towards Charles and he felt all those gazes falling on him. "I am fine, sir," He replied hesitatingly. "Alright,see you in the morning,"and he left, leaving no scope for anyone to speak.
